Which is a bit of a problem when one of them is the server. So you, with a 200+ ping, are playing against people with a 30 ping and one person with 0. Console players might not notice or care but PC FPS players won't stand for that shit. It's like going back to dial-up.

They never even planned for servers for consoles.

Time to cancel your PC pre-orders. No dedicated servers with the bullshit IW matching service being in the US you'll now be matched by rank and chucked in with randoms with one player being the host = host advantage. No dedicated servers, no mods, no more than 12-16 players or it will just lag out (OpFlash 2 like) which it will lag out anyway for anyone not in the US. Looks like so many from Australia have cracked the shits on the IW forums that Internode (yeah the whole ISP) has been IP banned from the forum.

Way to rip your friend off. i7 920 D0 will go over 4GHz the 975 is a waste. Classified + EK Full cover is cheaper than the Hydro that isn't full cover. Despite owning that RAM myself I'll freely admit it is a complete wank and not worth the price. Any single PCB GTX 295 will clock as fast if not faster than the CO-OP FTW. Older dual PCB are slightly faster again in most cases and then two GTX 275s are faster again. If you are going to compare brand new hardware you'd at least have to say $600-$1200 consoles that they sold for when they actually had new hardware.

Early release yes, but cost cutting models later down the line bring lower quality caps and the like to the table. PS3s don't fail because they sit idle with no games to play

Ltd Ed on pre-order, 10 extra cars and other shit seems the go. Waiting to see what Fanatec and Logitech come out with for this, rumoured G27 and what not. Would definitely prefer a 360/PC wheel that has 6 speed shifter etc.

Picked up a 360 in anticipation of Forza 3 Ltd Ed so a bit of Madden NFL 10. However I am still slumming it with a standard def TV so I can only guess that my wide receiver is open.

Keep in mind this is an article written for AMD AM2s and socket 775 intels. Even then the voltage increment they suggest of .25v is very high and most board will increment much lower than that.

My monstrosity of a HTPC/LAN box is complete and just needs a whole bunch of software installed. It's pretty terribad but it works. The Lian Li case was already modified for parts I don't have but the holes did come in handy. Mega tight fit to get the 9800GTX water cooling in place.

I have been lazy and haven't installed a thing, but with good reason, no really. I bought a Lian Li PC-V351 Black with a DFI LanParty JR P45-T2RS, GSkill Trident DDR2 1066 and E7500 to make a HTPC/LAN box which will go with a dual digital tv tuner and 9800GTX. Once that is together, which I think it jsut got delivered, then I'll dismantle the i7 and put the Classified block on.

Been playing the beta for months, you can also get into the free Chinese server with a bit of tweaking but it's full of bots.

Final release? It's been out for months and already had a slew of patches but still bug ridden. I've heard plenty of people say that SP is still unplayable.

Doesn't seem to be much insterest in COD. There are two GamingSA H/C TDM servers and one was empty at 7ish last night, had to brush up a little. I get good pings from Vic but if you're all on CS:S I'll just jump on something else.

The vehicles in the demo just went spastic for me. I've ragged on ArmA2 (more and more bugs seem to come up too) and people give me shit without realising I co-founded the original ADF mod, made my own weapons which were used in the ADF mod and others in the czech language 3D modeller, recoded and textured soldiers, recoded and textured Leopards (which were an excellent model from a German mod which I forget) and was the OFPEC addon admin for some time back in the day. I kind of know what I am on about. I even helped the QLD police investigate VBS/OFP (cheap bastards) as a training tool lulz. I just can't believe the options are so limited and the controls are worse. The mouse speed in the game is retarded, I have to turn it right down to be usable in-game but as soon as you go to any menu or the map etc it's too slow to use. I had a near-photo-realistic (the texture literally was a photo) browning pistol in 2002/3 ffs it even had a psuedo-animation even though at the time it wasn't possible to do it right. The guys that asked me if they could use the ADF mod name were so disappointed I deleted all of it, I think there is still some ADF mod stuff about if you look hard enough. Anything by Wires is me. I do slightly regret not releasing the weapon pack I was working on, even unfinished, it had recorded realistic sounds and the sweetest AW-50F with multi-purpose ammo and everything, I tested the shit out of that

I'd also like to to point out that there is nothing new in ArmA2 which saddens me greatly. The weapons, vehicles and better models you could get in addons for OFP years ago except from what i remember OFP had better vehicle control

I think besides EVE everything else I am playing is under NDA. I have all the valve games (that 23 game pack). Red orchestra ($5 lulz). COD4, need MW2. Would run missions in EVE or PvP I suppose. I think I have GRiD somewhere. Won't play DoW2 until 1.4 patch is released. Other stuff too so really whatever but I am pretty much over everything valve/source based. Oh yeah I'll be playing the ArmA2 demo then might get that.
