The 480s are dropping because they weren't selling that well at twice the price of a card that is essentially the same performance and nVidia are having fewer yield issues. They are still selling them at a loss. All the blocks are on and it's all working, yay, ran a couple of quick tests which make me think it's not running crossfire properly yet. Might just have the bridge around the wrong way, it's been known to happen. Didn't get that much time once it was together and leak tested.

Bought the raptors when SSDs of any size were ~$1000 each Received the water blocks and back plates for the 5870s so that all goes together tomorrow and it won't sound like a vacuum anymore. Faster, though you can clock a 5970 to 2 x 5870 speeds you can also OC 2 x 5870 even higher. Some poor bastard sold his 5870s and bought 3 480GTX only to find he only improved by 2000 points in 3DMark. Personally that's not $900+ worth.

Little update, got two 5870s, just need blocks, squirrel fans are shit. OK completely over this game as soon as I finished all the unlocks. I've figured it's because it tries to be everything without getting anything right. It's a crap twitch shooter, crap tactical shooter and a crap soldier sim. Put them all together and you have pretty much every battlefield game ever. Also it's now been admitted that the netcode they use is PERMANENTLY out of sync BY DESIGN. wat?

Or COD4 was about playing and winning on an easily obtainable even playing field where as I can out snipe new snipers with an M60, 4x scope and magnum rounds in BC2 while I heal myself and point whore off some poor bastard that's getting shot all the time. BC2 is all about point whoring. You see it with nearly every single server having a stacked team at the end of the round for the bonus. The weapon stats are wierd and the scales in the game are a lie. The new #1 player has 16000 kills and 200 deaths, nothing sus. Yes that's right that'a KDR of 80.

It plays like every other Battlefield game, different to CoD, where as CoD is arcade Battlefield is a half-arsed soldier sim. Like if someone at IW really really liked vehicles so they had to make the maps bigger and if there were actual bullet physics. Oh and the unlocks were WAY further apart and made even more of a difference.

My skyline and ute live outside, hail almost up to cricketball size but mostly golfball. 0 dents on the Skyline 5 on the newly resprayed ute, not even registered yet One of the other cars (BA falcon) had a hole punched in the wing.

Hugely broken at launch. Not surprised in the least but still disappointing. And really, it's not that much better than every other quasi-soldier-sim that's come out in the last, oh, decade.

Had my car all scraped up and the other driver just shrugged and drove off. Police weren't interested in the slightest. I could 'get an affidavit if you want for insurance'. They seem to only call it a hit and run (and get excited when you say it) if it's vehicle vs pedestrian.

I don't think there is a single achievement thingy I missed. I am interested in playing from ME1 again and being all pro cerberus/human and a general badass.

You would. Upgrade went seamlessly from RC to full. Moving the installation files to a folder on the hdd and editing one file does the trick.

I think I'll upgrade my RC to the full version this weekend. Changed over all the machines at work a while ago.

Just between you and me and anyone else that reads this thread...I never played Shogun. My most succesful multi would have been Viking Invasion, my viking army was almost unstoppable. 1v1 no contest. 2v2 easy. I even had a pug 4v4 team collapse and my vikings routed 3 enemy armies before running out of vikings to send to valhalla. Then again there was little that could defeat 4x4 heavy infantry and skirmish screen with no other faction having 4 or more types of heavy inf let alone heavy inf with that high morale. All that raping and pillaging.

lulz Your options as a male character are Tali, Miranda, Jack or if you go none, Kelly after the final mission. Loyalty, upgrades and stage of relationship all seem to factor into survival rates. My 'No One Left Behind' team composition was Specialist: Tali Team Leader: Garrus Specialist: Jack Team Leader Garrus Escort: Mordin As long as the team members you bring with you are loyal they survive. Also saw there's a free DLC that add's +10% heavy weapons ammo on the armour...which means my last play through would be +100%, 2 x Cain shots, nice.
