  1. just curious! on your boost guage what does it vacume at on idle?mine is around 18-20 psi ,which would say quiet good no?and also 18-20 wud mean no leaks at all?In old motors 18 vacume was good. If your is different please post it p.s i think my cheapo boost gauge says 13 psi when it is actually around 11? if you have wrong reading with guages please post back also
  2. thanks mad My car is 96 series 2 with big dump,blitz 80mm exhaust,no cat what so ever,blitz one sided intercooler.and runs 13 psi no matter what i do since ive put both on no other mods apart from coil epoxy and plug range 6 gap I know the spring isnt rocket science but there must be a way to find the happy point?

  4. I have a GHB 500$ bov with ajustable spring and vent /plum back,but my question is how do u know where to tune the spring when u turn it? ATM the spring is tight as it can be.its just the instructions that come with it are not real good .it says rev and watch revs come back to idle quick?
  5. Ive been using the white wire on the back of the coil pack loom to do my timing,and i read in another post that someone was using the black wire for timing. What is the official wire or method to check timing? and the black wire whats that for?
  6. mine is same 13psi what ever i do ,it wont boost lower .my dump is a single track but big size.autos are 5psi standard but manuals are 7.2 standard boost without intercooler /exhaust. ive tried alot of thing but to no luck yet

  8. I only like permetex now on all my gaskets and copper spray for head gasket!,maybe exhaust gasket too? I dont like silicons but do use it on odd jobs
  9. I can get 102 on pump here in adelaide (4$ a letre tho)my 12.1 rally car needs that and avgas(110+) on pump here too(2,20$ a litre)but u need racing licence for that.I tried 102 in my skyline but nknew it would only be good for cleaning it out.nissan recomend 100 or at worse 98+
  10. so i need that original hose on it that you can hardly breath thru(with white stripes) to get lower boost.can u buy aftermarket restricted hose?
  11. its plug gap and coppers seem to help !,keep gaping down mine are at .5 i might try .6 later but .66 was no good

  14. skylines are ment for 100 octane as that is standard octane in japan so there already tuned for that
  15. but just before the turbo mouth(inlet) has to be different preasure than whats in the intercoola pipes?you would think?

Ive tried at the manifold where the blow off valve vacume comes from and at the intercooler pipe near the air filter.but never tried at the inlet for the turbo where it says put it for a manual bleed valve. should i put it on the turbo inlet?where the original connection is on the the oil breather pipe.

  19. Do people realize if there really forged pistons there worth 500-800$ dollars and very strong <not something you throw away easy unless your super rich I would re-use if they have been checked out properly.pics are too hard to tell?

  21. problems like what?its only a spark.no like your changing its timing or votage........it may be smaller but under cold extreme presure the small gap has more chance to fire every time and not get blown out.yes a nice big spark will burn better but we all arent rich.im saving now but my problem was different to yours it never went powerfull again after 6 it just couldnt take WOT under load full stop. yes it may be crude but im broke atm maybe going from the iriduims to copper plugs helped also?

  23. your engine shop should be able to mirco test it for trueness and blue light it for cracks
