at 620-650 hp even the 9 inch they use a bit of a ask.think they mini spool for cost and strenght. a nice cone lsd without clutches will beat any in my view-as max power can be tranfered from tyres

I use the white looped wire at the end of the coilpack loom ,were it meets the fire wall plug. you dont need to take cover off at all. and for power and earth use under the black fuse box in the engine bay

Do Foam Air Filters Kill Your Engine?
cosworth1971 replied to GR33 vous's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
paper is finer than foam anyday!thats why u get performance gains, but at the price of not fine filtering.IMO and foam oil is bad for MAF wire -

Flywheel Advantages?
cosworth1971 replied to MR R34's topic in Suspension, braking, tyres and drivetrain
this is what people dont tell you!!!!! some cars use the weight of a flywheel to propell the car...these cars are usually big bodied v8s like american muscle. lightening some can make a car slower. the theory i have is. 1 is the engine big for the body?if so u can lighten the flywheel 2 if the engine is small for the body dont do it 3 with a lightend flywheel u need to keep you shifts quick to keep momentum(this is race knowledge) to slow and the advantages are lost 4 there is a perfect point eg, not too light not too heavy my escort runs 27 lb flywheel thats from about 35lb STD any lighter and it would go worse.. but thats a 2 litre in 1000 kg(big motor for wieght) also some drag racers keep heavy flywheel for launch! and many circuit racers use light for the cars stay at high rmp eg 7000-9000 -

heel/toe is for dog boxes (straight cut gears) as they have no syncro`s and u need to match the rpm on down shifts then no clutch on upshifts.. I do it on my street car also but be carefull in traffic as too it being less wear i dont think so .

drag cars cars have a endless different motor setup not just superchargers infact there is a motor with both supercharger and turbocharger from the factory. and when u think about barja, truck racing, drift, drag, hillclimb, touring car ect.ect the motors and choice is endless alot of XRX`s use vent but i do like the stig. -

I think he ment dont be ignorant and well done! well its all personal taste, you might like neon but i think thats gay and checker plate yuck lol but the facts are serious HP cars use them too from pikes peak to WRC,1100 hp jap cars, dragsters I did get a ghb that does both because when i get sick of it i can turn the knob -
on my xr8 and other cars i have ran a 3 inch flexi hose to front bumper facing the air (with stocking on it to stop leaves n stuff) then to std airfilter box with paper element for fine filtering....but i stay away from dirt roads and stuff with this but havent done this to sky yet..

cosworth1971 replied to cosworth1971's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I do hear your point and agree in part but why do drifters use it?isnt it ment to spool up faster on shifts for D1?? and why do rally cars use it? I gues the motor is healthier with it plumbed back but is it more performance without?(on quickshifts) and running no BOV at all is there alot of turbo LAG when changing gears? -

sounds like u care, and crome rims so YANKIE!im a black gangster(joke) I would say young hoons doing burnouts for thier mates or dragging every vn commodore like a twit would make skylines look bad not a blowoff valve. its usually the nut behind the wheel that gives the image the wank factor!do you see a rally car as a wank noise? i agree it gets anoying at times thats why i brought a valve that does both, but to say that is a bit much?but each to his own -
1-5 kw (depending)
