fuel filter perhaps? probably the easiest thing to try...otherwise maybe your afm is on its way out. if your car is trying to get to higher boost then watch your boost gauge....if its spiking at all.....if you havent got a controller on it then it shouldnt be spiking.

VCT section is raised is the dead give away along with the cam covers and also the mod plate......if it says rb25det....if it doesnt and it has one then dont buy it until they get you a mod plate...illegal otherwise.

r32 with rb25det.... or if you want newer then get a 34....they are getting cheap enough. but yeah personal opinion i like 32 cause they look better. 33 are meh...better engine etc. 34's are tops look slightly less better then a 32. but for bang for bucks.....prob a 33 cheap and good. for looks 32, for newness 34.

yes Sam does tune 25 ecu's now. i had my r32 done by him and it was f**ken awesome i dont see what people have against him, i will be gettin my rb25 done by him soon. just go to his website Bryn and email him, he will let you know what you need to know. spend 1600 on a pfc and tune minimun if you want. i can tell you its quite a bit cheaper going chipped stock ecu and prob just as good as a pfc. EDIT: Mecury had the software that Sam gave them, but i dont know if they have the rights anymore, though they prob use different system now.

plumb back system duct the air (on a proper set up system) back into the turbo intake, it is suppose to reduce lag between changes, though just having one reduces the negative pressure on the turbo. Some people dont like them because they can also be the source for power loss....still working that one out though.

Any tuning shop should be able to do it. there are mixed ideas on who is the best. I had mine done by Dr Drift aka Sam... when he came up here a few years ago, best money ever spent.
