  1. JIMX "I can get plenty sideways without boost and fat 255 tyres Of course boost picking up soon after launch helps it stay sideways, but I've never needed it off the mark." well as soon as the clutch is droped there is Load...... Thus boost! thats if the clutched is droped when the rpms are at a good level!
  2. well i think it is definatly a must to run a blowoff valve! i heard that the flutter noice was the compressor turbine being spun the opposite way by the returning pressure! sounds very bad to me! also atmospheric blow off valves definatly do the job of releasing pressure but isn't this only half the power of a bov! plumbed back air into the intake is the other streanght! thus any one searching for performance should choose a plumb back!
  3. here is the link to the zoom mag article... one knows allready that it will say good things because the link is from the turbosmart site! http://www.turbosmart.com.au/mag_zoom73_1.htm
  4. hey guys just wondering if there are any benifits with splitting the wastegate gasses for the first 10-20 cm on downpipes... i think i saw hks ones similar to this! and on the other end of the scale there are the single 3" pipe catering for both! like batmbl is selling! what are the pros and cons of these designs? after taking the advice on the Next recommended upgrade thread i started a while ago i have since bought a fmic and have done a bit of research and found there are 2 ways to route the inlet air from the core! ---either in through the engine bay and infront of the engine and over the fan.. ----or back under neath the core..therefore being able to follow factory pipes from this side! from what i can see the first option is safer for the piping..however one has just spent all this money to lower inlet air then the pipes are sent right next to the engine..with the heat sink on this pipe thus reheating the air that had just been cooled! what a waste!!!!!can thermal tape fix this? secondly to run the pipe under the core would be hard considering i gave R34 GTR end tanks and i have seen some cooler kits specificly designed for the end tank to point back the other way! also this return pipe has a greater chance of being damaged! which option would be the best? thanks pete
  5. i deffinatly think they look similar to the 350z...way too similar! not a worthy successor at all! the styling has nothing that made the r 32 33 34 so loved! it doesnt look POWERFUL! its great as a 350 but as a skyline put a bomb under it! just my 2 cents
  6. I also heard that end tanks are more important! i heard that if the inlet/outlet are parralel it is not as good as one top, one bottom! is this true?
  7. has any one heard of "intensa" sava tyres... they are cheap tyres i know... is it the case of you pay for what you get? does any one know about these tyres?
  8. hey... im after a down pipe and front pipe for s1 r33.... just want to see whats out there!!
  9. ok thanks guys... i will get hold of the down pipe and front pipe to finish of the exhaust! IF ANY ONE KNOWS OF ANY FOR SALE PLEASE LET ME KNOW! as far as the front mount goes i am avoiding it simply because of the cost and that i will probbaly have to replace the front bumper for airflow and room! i would think that it would be impossible to fit a gtr core behind the s1 bumper??
  10. I have a S1 R33 gts t automatic and have fitted bilstein suspension, jasma 3" cat back, and a KN pod. For some time now i have flirted with the idea of adding some type of piggyback! Out of all the many options out there i like the PRofec e-01 and was very pleased to see the abundence of info on one of the threads......thanks guys (and the e-manage) i am trying not to aspire to a 12 second line simply because i want eat and pay rent etc! I simply would like to up boost! how high boost can you go on the standard turbo and core? the only thing i will consider getting after the piggy back is a fmic. is the PRofec e-01 the best way to go is there a better option for me? pete
