    Japan Bound

if you got a contact in japan just ask him/her to do a prelim research on the yards near where you will be staying so by the time you go there perhaps there are something you might like... or some places will have cars online like Great Company in Yokohama. www.greatcompany.co.jp good luck.
  2. well done guys!! nice to see the R32s out and kickin it... good to see some drift finally happening in WA and big ups to the organisers and all the competitors... mmmm.... better get practisin for the next one... hahaha
  3. can put a silencer... dunno how much power you will loose over it or try putting a second muffler, like a baby one between the cat and muffler.
  4. cheap yakiniku = mad cow disease... watch out!
  5. yellow is the speedo brown is the rev speed
  6. i got some clear ones if you wanna buy it.... its clear with little orange bits.... the standard earlier model ones....
  7. streeter is right in that it is a common misconception that parts are cheap second hand... i was a bit shocked to see that the retail is still expensive. and yeah to find cheap parts you need to know people there. also to get them to send over to perth is a tough thing, i am japanese and they still tell me no!!! its not the language, i think they cant be bothered... if you are after something specific i might be able to get it as i am dealing with few places who do send over seas, whether new or second hand... i am in perth though, mail me if you are interested. masahiro [email protected]
  8. yeah theres lots of widths from like 10mm to 30mm and depends on how much you want wheels to sit out. the bolt on ones are illegal but the non bolt on like 10mm should be ok...maybe?
  9. how much thickness did you want? i can get some thick ones (bolt on)from japan if you are interested or some thin china ones are like $20 from some tyre shops or like supercheap autos or something. masahiro [email protected]
  10. hey dude the pic needs to be higher res than that cos i cant read it.... too blur and the kanji is a bit on the intense side of things! send me your highest res pic then i will try to decypher it... masahiro
  11. im not too sure cos mine was 89 and came with clear one.... but i get the feeling the previous owner changed it...
  12. ok this is still gonna go so keep your eyes on here... just need to wait for my pay! it may take a little while... but will let you guys know once i have it sussed out.
  13. i would also suggest a hostel if you are gonna sleep as they are pretty cheap and got some nice info you can use.... there is one near harajuku in yoyogi park there. kinda in between harajuku and shibuya so shopping and night life is only hop skip and jump away. dunno about kyoto.
  14. cool. nice to meet you guys! hope to see you at a cruise or something hey...
  15. hahahahahahaha... was wondering why you guys didnt jump on it!?!?
  16. interesting how you guys know the URL.....
  17. reasons im not entering but going there to support: 1. my car is not ready... (no LSD, no gauges, etc) 2. i can't drift and i am sure i will be the worst one there... 3. i don't want to break/crash my car... so yeah i will be there but just on the side lines... hopefully by the next even my car and i will be ready....
  18. rezz: yeah can get most furikake and cupie(?) mayo and we got one that is super expired in the house and my mum keeps using it like its ok! perth is pretty japanised so gettin those normal groceries is no problems... i eat some natto once in a while to pretend to be healthy... once you are here i can take you and your wife grocery shopping hey... also with teaching i think some basic english knowledge is useful like what is plural and present perfect... cos i know you dont wanna look stupid than your students (especially if they are mature students)
  19. hahahahahahahahahahahahahahaha.... damn right! that was me smokin away every 30 mins! were you the SOS dude? cheers for the spanner....
  20. get your own container or ring some shops in brissie and im sure they will have some container coming through so put it in with them.... or do them a bit of favour and look for parts as well and get free freight....
  21. depends on what you need done to the car? as all the above is a broad category of workshop.... and yeah as rezz said most ppl here including myself have not dealt with these companies but more like giving you opinions on who they like.... HKS: pretty much all rounder with their own parts so rest assured your car will be pretty much HKSed out.... Top Secret: its no secret this is the wangan workshop... top end monsters... also of late drift and some track... Veilside: body shop as well as drag monster makers... also of late drift has entered their vision... they are even expensive by japanese standards so unless you have money dont bother... Other: where are you at? what do you want to set up the car for? what car are you gonna do up? how much is your budget? well let me know then i can dig up many other reputable shops in your area.... masahiro
