  4. its just that im wondering how much psi a standard engine can take and for how long?
  5. GunMetalR33 have u had any work done to ur engine? or is it standard
  6. just a quick question wats a water pump worth these days? as im trying to save up and replace the belts and pump, my wallet is fairly empty these days!!!
  7. honestly i dunno but to get around 250 and more out of a standard rb25 on anything less then 17 psi, to me sounds a big challenge, and not to mention the end result will not be reliable.
  8. na it was a dyno dynamics dyno, dont know where tho have to check, i think in padstow....thanks, hows ur car going...
  9. thats true, but then again the exhaust cam gear will be very handy, that is my next mod actually, and it will help with lag, its very laggy compared to the stock turbo....
  10. i wash mine once a week, and no i hate to admit it but i dont abide by the water restriction rules..... i have a big back yard and no 1 can see LOL
  11. to be honest i dont think the .63 is much better, and also i dont think 250rwkw is possible at 1 bar, with the mods provided... i havent reached 250 yet and im running over 16psi...
  12. i used a garret GT30R, its ball bearing, i dunno if urs is, but its the 550hp version, and i used a .82 rear housing, not sure about the compressor, its a little laggy but man when it hits full boost its amazing... a .63 rear will be heaps better and less laggy.... by the way nothing will bolt straight on, it takes a lot more work then u first think.
  13. yeh i asked to be safe, i dont want the bottom end to give way on me just yet.... im planning to rebuild the engine with some forgies and rods, and even maybe some cams... then ill up the boost a little and push for the 300rwkw...
  14. yeh i am pretty happy with the results, and i think with the cams i should reach close too the 250rwkw mark..... plus i dont wanna push the car much more anyways, well not until i get myself a new bottom end, and wack in some more boost and maybe even a new plenum... i understand wat u mean, i have been waiting for about 2 months for my car to be finished, i had heaps of work done...
  15. hi mate is that a standard head?
  16. im running 17 psi at the moment, but i can change between 14 and 17, thanks to a dual actuator...
  17. hey guys, my car is finally back..... overall im happy, although there are a few more things needed... the car is a little laggy, hits full boost at close to 4000rpm, which is the bad part from all this, but i have to say its a lot stronger.... the car pulled over 240rwkw... which i think isnt too bad, with the standard engine and cams...
  18. few more things left, parts have to go!!!!
  19. spotted DHC r34, on victoria rd at gladesville today at about quarter to 5..
  20. could be the exhaust gaskets, causing the squealing, thats wat was wrong with mine....
  21. yeh i know he was telling me, he took them out the first time to gap them, then had issues later so he checked them out to find one cracked, then again checked them to find another one cracked.
  22. ok i can see you all have something in common..... i am another that can be added to the list, lately my divisions are: 80% - CAR 20% - woman 0% me and savings... and yeh im only 20!!! cars are a money pit, i know this but i just love making it go faster!!!!!
  23. tuner just rang me and said he found 2 cracvked plugs while tuning today, had to replace them..... i have to say skylines are a hastle some times, he had to take the piping off 3 times LOL... i cant wait till saturday.....
  24. cheers for that Arup, sounds pretty cheap for a new diff..... ill keep it in mind, but i have more important mods that need to come first..... im thinking bout the bottom end now...
  25. yeh i dunno man, mine seems fine for now, it was just a thought, cant really spend that money on a good working diff atm... was thinking of working my gear box a little....
