ok guys here's wats happening: for those of you who are thinking about using a GT30R or any of the GT30xx turbo's on their r33, dont listen to wat the sellers tells u... nothing lines up and it certainly does not bolt straight on!!! u will need either to opt for an externally wastegated version with a different manifold or do it the way i am about to, as it is too late for me to change and go for an externally gated setup. i had to get myself a spacer between the manifold and turbo that is about 1.5inch thick to move the turbo away from the manifold so it doesnt hit it, without the spacer the turbo is too big be bolted on prop, now once that is done the spacer must be this thick as u will need heaps of room to twist the turbo so that the actuator can be bolted on, it is hard to explain, but trust me i tryed every possible measure, it has to be like this..... and finally none of the oil/water lines fit they have to be made up, so suppliers will say it fits but trust me it doesnt!!!!!

i have a trust intercooler kit it runs off the sides not back underneath

i got mine through a mate of mine he imports that stuff, they cost me $1100, they were 550cc sard injectors with the colars they fit straight in. did u check if sard make them for the neo? if so how much were they?

guys try the sard injectors with the adapter colars they should be a straight fit, 550cc, thats wat i got but yeh mines a 33 not a neo engine.... try asking bout them

hey Bass, i just went through the same thing with my car i wanted a set of injectors that fit straight in, people were telling me that the nismo injectors are a straight bolt on, but when i went to powerplay imports they told me i need a new fuel rail so i changed my mind and went for the sard injectors with some colars, they fit straight in, but i got a r33 so i think its the same but not 100% sure.

yeh i am in syd, im getting all my work done by a mate who works with MRT performance, they specialise in wrx's, so i get most of my stuff cheap and he is not charging me much in labour, i will prob get mrt to tune it for me as one of his mates tunes power FC's and he has shown good results in the past.. as for the progress guys, i hit a small delay today, this morning i pulled off wat was left of the standard turbo and started trying to fit the new GT30R, only to find it is too big and hits.. so for anyone out there trying to fit a GT30 u will need a spacer for it to clear any of the engine, so i have to wait till monday, i guess i will get back to work now, i going to fit the fuel pump and regulator....

thanks guys, im cheering, i was hoping it would last as i spent a fare bit on these mods i didnt want to fork out more just to rebuild the engine anytime soon...

Another question guys, how long would a internally standard engine last at 1 bar with 250+rwkw, and 70,000km?

that is a good question which i am looking into, as far as power FC is concerned the guy that can supply me with one, is tuning my power FC so it is obviously compatible.....

i wasnt saying $440 is expensive i was thinking that the custom made one is probably a better flowing AFM then a z32, which means i have no limits in the future if i decide to push for more power.... and as PHATGTR said i porb will go for a z32 as i have a power FC and if it makes tuning easier then i will get it...

honestly to me it looks ugly wen i see a skinny gtst with a monster GTR badge on it, i think the badge suites the fat gtr bodies!!!! so i agree dont make ur car look ugly, oh and also i hate seeing those ugly stickers down the dorrs and accross the windscreen!!!

hi mate im currently setting up a GT30R in my gtst, and it fits straight in on the standard manifold, it is a little tight, so u wont be able to put the heat sheilds and stuff back, but it worth it. wat turbo are u looking at getting?

ive got damper adjustable shocks at front and back, not sure wat brand, but my car sits pretty low. so im not sure wat to set them to wen draging but, hey i guess i can muck around a little on the day make it softer or harder!!!!

yeh custom as in made specially for me, wow $440 is pretty expensive, i think i might get my mates he is known for supplying good stuff....

shite im going to need to get me a new one, wats a z32 worth new? coz my mate can make me up a custom one for $300, is it worth it or should i go for a z32?

yeh already got a clutch and i know mine spun in first before the upgrade, about the airflow meter, i was thinking of getting a z32, but am not sure if ill need it does anyone know wat the limits are on the standard AFM?

Im going to be running 14 psi, would i be looking at 250+rwkw? more or less power anyone?

yeh ive got 255 street tyres but i was thinking getting some slicks, but im not sure as 255's are pretty wide?

hi guys my cars currently at the workshop undergoing an operation u could call it, its having a new fuel pump wacked in with a FPR, a new set of injectors, an A'Pexi power FC, and a new Garrett GT30R turbo, so after a tune it should psh about 250rwkw, i have all basic mod's FMIC, air filter and exhaust... i was just wondering wat u guys think it would run down the 1/4mile, i was thinking low 12's maybe high 11's, is this realistic? any thoughts and comments are welcome..

thats pretty cheap guys, is that the final price $810 del, or is there that possibility of being taxed by customs and gst ..... coz i went for some sard injectors with adapters for $1100. i know nengun are selling the nismos for $940 but there is always that possibility of being taxed so i didnt bother and just payed the extra money to get the sards quicker and no more hiden costs...

im sure its ok, if u got caught on the 8th, however u got disqualified after july 11th, so im sorry to say but i think ur unlucky. cause i lost mine on the 1st of july and i remember i was saying to everyone how lucky i was not to of lost it after the 11th but i cant remember why. coming to think of it i think ur gonna have to cop it, u did lose it after the 11th, i dont think it matters when the offence was, as they have to give u that 21 days notice of suspension..
