  1. i would go for the high mount if i was going to do this again, as it would have been heaps easier. the only reason i didnt high mount it was because i was using an internally gated turbo, also the cost's of a new manifold were a little too much for me at the moment.
  2. yeh i know everyone is telling me be careful bla bla, but hey im not stupid... i dont wanna reck wat took a lot of blood sweat and tears to build, Arup dont worry ull be seeing it soon, ill let ya drive it so u can want it, LOL...
  3. hey guys so happy, i started my car today, it kicked over after a small tune of Power FC, just put in a small tune to get it started and drive it to the exhaust place so that the dump can be made up, once that is done i should have my car 2 days later, the tuner will need two days, for a cold start... im so excited i cant wait!!!!!
  4. yeh, sorry if that wasnt clear before.... its all about the $$$$$ and wat u want, they dont mix sometimes
  5. forgot to add going from an almost standard skyline to a 300rwkw beast is a fair jump, not to mention will require a lot of money!!
  6. yeh that is true, but a GT-RS will set u back a lot more then a GT30R, also i am aiming at around 300rwkw, but money is a factor at the moment, as i dont have the $$$ to spend on the engine as yet, also the drive train mods required to achieve a reliable 300rwkw....
  7. yeh i agree, my car wont be seeing the track either, im going to focus on making it less laggy, maybe chuck in a new intake plenum and work on the cams, and i guess that would it.. when i get bored of this i will prob sell it and get a GTR, thats my ultimate goal, an R33 GTR! but for now i think being 20 and having a series II with the mods that it has, and being stuck at uni, and not owing any money for it i guess i should be happy.
  8. yeh, i had that feeling about 2 weeks ago also, but the diff for me was my car had a shit load of stuff changed at the same time, so i could never drive it, once i get it tuned ill be ripping up the streets a few times, my neighbors are going to hate me...LOL
  9. yeh i know, i cant wait man, its so close but it feels like i have to wait ages... few more days now...
  10. yeh i know i just pm'd for a spot but i dunno, i can still enter at wsid, but i wanted to go to the sau drag meet, just to compare my car with other lines. and yeh i did go for the 0.82 rear, and i got my turbo from japan, its directly from garrett, its a garrett GT30R turbo... my mate who did the work for me works for MRT, and if u like i can get u a quote from him for labor if u have all the parts like wat i did? all it cost me was labor and any extra parts....
  11. not too sure yet mate but around the 3500-4000 worst case, i say, but anytyhing better is good
  12. yeh i havent entered yet but since u tell me that theres only one spot left i guess i have to make up my mind soon, u see i dont have a license, so i have to find a driver.... have u started the work on ur car? i should have mine back soon ill let u know how it turns out as in if its laggy and etc....
  13. hey guys i went for a garrett gt30R ball bearing turbo, its big, but should get me to the 250rwkw, and my tuner seems to think i can reach it with my mods....
  14. forgot to say, if anyone wants to know, for an rb25 the sard 550cc injectors fit like a dream, only mod is the plug that comes with them, needs to be changed with the standard one...
  15. ok guys heres the latest: ive almost finished my upgrades, initially it was supposed to be done over a six month period but its been a month now and my car is booked for a tune on thursday!!! yay i cant wait the only thing left to do is the cams but im not to keen on them anytime soon...ill be entering the sau drag day in novemeber hopefully aiming at a low 12, well im trying to reach a 12 flat but i guess we will see!!!
  16. spotted ONISMO silver r33 gtr at macquarie uni, see it all the time, nice car but has had a bit of damage to it, not bad though...
  17. yeh i agree i was told mine would be a little laggy and ive got it on an rb25... but i guess i will find out soon, i get my car back this sunday.
  18. go for the sard one but 330 is pretty expensive, ive seen them for 290 somewhere cant remember but just search the net....
  19. thanks trust33 so its as follows: i've done some testing myself also and found the following: 1. Power 12V connecting to pin 49 2. Air Signal ground to pin 26 (note it's not ground) 3. Air signal to pin 27. So to wire the z32 to s2 afm as follows:- Z32 AFM R33 S2 A - not connected B - Air signal -> 3 C - Ground -> to ground D - Grd signal -> 2 E - Power 12V -> 1 F - Not connected
  20. so if i understand it correctly u are saying for a series 2 all we have to do is connect the 12v ground, and signal ground on the z32 afm together, and these go to the ground on the standard wiring in the series2? and the rest are the power and airflow?
