  1. =( need that tune!!!!
  2. 10psi is too low tho for a hiflow steel wheel turbo (if you've got the supprting mods - which you have). Good for ceramic standard turbos but a bit of a waste on a modd'd Stagea! Go 14psi, nice and safe tune on the PFC Alex, you've got the supporting mods as such, so it'd be perfect for everyday use - remember your right foot is the rEaL boost controller. =) Brendan
  3. Im led to believe the GCG hiflow is best suited for optimal power/torque to be run at 15-17psi on a internally-standard RB25DET (use a EBC fellas!), can anyone confirm? I would have thought running 12psi would be a waste on a hiflow'd turbo. Maybe talk to GCG and ask 'em?
  4. Obviously was! Cost you a turbo, me thinks! (sorry!) First thing I did was ditch the Turbosmart bleedvalve (set at 10 but overspiked) and put in a Hybrid brand EBC. To be safe. Im running 12psi now (approx 11.8 actually is the top it gets to), but generally get off the gas when it gets to around 10psi. With a hiflow with steel wheels, forget the low boost stuff. Thats for ceramic wheels. Hi / Lo settings should be 15 / 12 and that should be safe for the engine *with all supporting mods. *GCG turbo, air filter, GTT 'cooler, full exhaust, EBC, SITC, fuel pressure regulator (or injectors), 14psi would surely be 200awkw, with a nice and safe tune. My opinion only (worthless!!) =P
  5. what a mofo, eh AMS? Man that sucks big time. Bad luck to you, you've only just got it! That must really shite you off, but dont let it get you down. $2k go the GCG hiflow. With the R34 GTT 'cooler you've got, some boost control & save up & do a SITC or similar and you'd end up with a top ride, with good power at a safe tune.
  6. Never been that fast in a car before, private road or not. But on a bike, well, hehehehe, actually, no comment! =)
  7. Any Stagea is a good Stagea. My 'Dayz edition rocks!
  8. Roo Racing make top quality carbon pipes; had one on my old ZX7R. Nice wheels (both), hurry up tho and get off the learneers 250cc and onto a litre-eater (like the below link)!
  9. PM sent Beastien. Traces made of the 5 floor mats.
  10. what bike do you ride?
  11. Stagea's rock. Ive definately got a soft spot for my wagon; thinking Id like to finish off the family with a Series 2 Neo tiptronic Stagea as well. Just washed her moments ago and it feels great to caress her lovely smooth panels, and see her skin shine and sparkle in the sun, dripping wet and showing off in the driveway. =P Brendan
  12. Welcome! well done with the purchase, sweet S2 you got there. Damn I wish I forked out the extra for a S2 & not S1 but nevermind (maybe for our 2nd car!). 6'1. Im surprised you cant get a decent seating position. Im 6'8 and its fairly cramped for me. I guess it depends a bit on your driving style maybe. Me? I hold the wheel and turn it but get my hands stuck between wheel & knees!!!! lol
  13. Brad best of luck to you mate.... public forums can be jekil/hyde as such; ie great for info sharing but you get into shitfights with people having differing views. Read the SA thread "friday night cruise" to see what I mean. =) And anyway, why rush the build of your Stag, the most fun is in the actual building of the project, not the end result (lets face it, the mods never end!), so stuff what people say about Your ride and how You are doing it. =P
  14. Hi fella's, Beastien 'bro I'll get to it this week, had our little boy yesterday (1.1.06) so when I have a quiet moment this week I'll trace them up for you.
  15. PM me too, I can be a stickybeak!! Alex, I wrote before on the day you started thew tdread but it didnt post up (was a massive entry as well, was very pissed off & havent been back on site since!). Look at it this way - if you can sell your car today, minus most mods that you can keep and use on the 2.6L, and have 20k change over money today, & it doesnt hurt you too much, then grab a 260RS for 40k onroad nice and neat. BUT, you probably then wont have much $ for mods, so save a year before you can roll up the sleaves & get cracking at mods. However, with your current car, if you can *afford* to spend a couple hundred dollars a month here & there, then its great fun month-by-month to add a little something to your current ride. After a few years its been a Huge journey with your build up & ends up being a very personal journey. My past 2yrs with the Fireblade has taught me more than I ever thought I would know, & gave me confidence to take my time and do it myself. The stagea buildup would be the same for you. End of day, if you've got cash NOW do the 260RS, but if you've got cash GRADUALLY modify the biatch out of the RS4. But dont bust the bank to do it, use $$ thats already yours.... my tip. OH * btw, 160awkw is Plenty thank you! 275awkw is going way overboard! 200awkw anyone/ YES PLEASE!
  16. My Dayz edition S1 says under 83000kms, & condition of car inside & out suggests this is near the mark, HOWEVER had to replace timing belt etc at 81000kms, so maybe it has been wound back 20000kms. Thats a Maybe, my mechanics say condition is on par for a car with approx. 80000kms useage. Fact is all the controls (steering wheel, foot pedals, etc) look pristine, so Id suggest previous owner was a family doing small distances, most likely Mrs Tanuka dropping kids off to school and shopping for noodles. Meh, neither here nor there as far as I care. Odo says 83 so thats what Im sticking with, theres no proof to say otherwise (auction sheet says 49k when bought into Australia a year ago & CoolPC did 30000 in it in the 1 year!), and as I mentioned condition is faultess so Im happy either way. Brendan
  17. Ive got 10 cd's from www.bikepics.com all of videos of high speed stuff, low speed stacks, etc. Top stuff. Love the one where a group of sports bikes do endos (rear wheel lifts up under hard front braking) to a standstill, and the last guy comes in way too hot and takes out all his mates in front! But the video that gets my heart pumping is the Austalian advert for Yamaha R1 around 5 years ago, with Kevin Curtain (?) riding the red/white R1, 'where are you going today' slogan. Awesome, you may remeber it as it was played a lot during the Channel 10 car racing weekend programs. I could go on and on, as riding motorbikes is my absolute passion & I get SO fired up over it. But havent riden for a few weeks now due to the impending birth of my 2nd kid in 2 weeks time - hate to write myself off now just when Im really needed!
  18. Meh, only 100kw more than mine...... BEJESUS!!!! Street sleeper gone spastic me thinks! Nice one.
  19. Ive had a couple of nice runs with my Stagea vs other V8's / turbos... always funny shite! Some ppl sure do wonder 'wtf is a wagon doing outgunning me'? hahahahaha good stuff.
  20. My light was starting to come on yesterday, first full take down to empty after having the Bosch 040 fuel pump installed. Was getting worried, after all Ive read about 040's and under quarter tank syndrome. Put in 55 litres after 385kms, so exactly 7kms per litre of premium 98ron fuel. I think thats sort of ok for 160awkw.
  21. Thats what I was thinking Ian.... under $1m yen just isnt enough for a S2 manual, maybe ok for a S1 auto. For a nice condition version s2 manual a minimum 1.5m yen would be needed. For Sure. Or buy one already imported, for 25k or less.
  22. Did you forget about your roof racks Alex???!!!
  23. I reckon the 2pots fronts arnt that bad.... in a sense. With DBA slotted front rotors, good grippy pads and braided brake lines the front brakes would actually be pretty good. Just my thoughts. Follow up & do the same to the rears and brakes would be spot-on for a 200awkw Stagea. For the street anyhow......
  24. I had a mountain bike in the back just a few weeks ago, when I went to pump up the tyres (brand new bike so therefore the wheels were very flat - man that seat hurts!!). Fitted without a problem around my subwoofer and under the rear net-cage, with the back seats down. Two wouldnt be a prob, nor would 4 stacked on top of each other! Carpet is nice and lush - might get knee /elbow rash though if you gave it a good work out *ahhemm*
  25. WHOO HOO!!!!!!!! well done Chris, top stufdf mate, now you are TRUELY a stagea owner! WHOO HOO!!!!!!!!
