  1. With an auto, shift kit AND power fc, do you have to change gears manually with the auto shifter? I didnt think a PFC was setup to change auto gears........ Brendan
  2. Well, they didnt pull over the Stagea (was sure they would, they were following me for long enough). I think the drunks at Hahndorf hotel got their attention tho.... lol Maybe you guys struck out and got lucky. Thats the sweet thing about the Stagea - its a station wagon, so doesnt get a second glance from peopl of authority. Gets heaps of glances from general public tho, wondering what the F* it is! Brendan
  3. Satan, See Stagea section, Gary's thread (SK) Apexi Super Ignition Timing Computer, he reckons its all good, and thats good enough for me by far. Mine is going on the Stagea right now (yesterday / today), with high pressure fuel lines, nismo adjustable fuel pressure regulator, bosch 040 fuel pump, and a z32 afm. Getting it all ready for the turbo upgrade, hopefully I dont need larger injectors........ worth a look maybe, start on ebay. Brendan
  4. Thats right, so grab a Apexi SITC (super ignition timing converter), fairly rare now but I found a brand new one for $220US on ebay. Being installed right....about....NOW! Brendan
  5. Why wouldnt a SAFC be up to the job? For the supporting mods Im looking at using the SITC / SAFC combo, with stnd injectors, bosch pump and nismo regulator..... wanting 200awkw from non-neo Rb25. lol I found that funny! man, what Id give to have a dyno in MY garage (at home, not work). Brendan
  6. Cheers, I have done a search but I'll re-search then..... I know SK rates them highly, just after other opinions (if any) Pipercross cost around $59 + delivery whilst Apexi panel filters cost around $100 delivered. Brendan
  7. hahhaha, thats a big question, check out the sticky thread Regency Experiences. In short, take off what you can (hide turbo timer, take off pedals etc) and go to Sturt Rd RTA. Much nicer to deal with, and more relaxed, than Regency. They'll just want to determine VIN engine numbers etc, but have power to defect if they see fit. Regency will bend you over a barrel if they can.... Brendan
  8. CUBES! Thats easy fixed! Grab a nice neat STAGEA and join my family! 5 doors is much easier than 2. Brendan
  9. How do Pipercross panel filters compare to say K&N / Apexi panel filters? Thinking of ditching the K&N pod filter and reinstalling the R33 std airbox I picked up, but need a good filter for it. Hate the sound the pod makes (too noisy) and it sucks hot air even with a custom enclosure (enclosure is always very hot after a drive).
  10. V.nice indeed... damn Id luv a R34 (4door) tiptronic Neo, but needed the wagon for the family. They are such great value at the moment as well. Well done, see you out there somestage.
  11. Cheers Jay.... Well its all happening now as we chat, so Im past the point of no return. Im sure the 2 Apexi units will work well together, and expect 155+ at 10psi and 165+ at 12psi. Cheers for the note on the Unichip.
  12. Thanks mate - I knew there was a 'reason' for you doing the SITC / DFA combo. Cool. Now at least I know more about the piggybacks and Rb engines than my tuner does! Thank you very much for the information, not that I was going to change my route as such, just wanted to find out what the go was with e-Manage seeing my tuner brought it up....... Will post up how it all goes. Brendan
  13. wonder if it was impounded under the new anti-hoon laws? now that'd be funny!!
  14. Thanks for the advice, Cubes, with the 'switch', thats a good idea. Im thinking its just high pressure fuel lines & stuff, not larger diameter for increased flow. Only after around 200awkw with the hiflow turbo next year, expecting around 160awkw with this weeks mod efforts. For 200awkw I dont see the need for big diameter fuel lines, its not as if the Stagea is a 260RS (yet!!) Brendan
  15. Cubes, getting Ashley to wire the direct feed coming thru the engine bay fuse box, there will be a fuse installed there that I can simply take out, if I so wish, to disable the fuel pump. High pressure fuel lines will be used due to the extra boost (say 15psi) that will be run with the hiflow turbo next year, and also for the 10psi extra pressure that is possible with the Nismo F.P.R. Thats and extra 25psi being used over what they were designed for. Its a recommendation from SK, so I thought I should take him up on his advice.
  16. I'll get back to you Cubes once Ive got the itemised invoice, just got a total rough quote for a whole lot of work......
  17. Hiya all, well the Stagea is now in the shop, the SITC is being installed as we speak as well. query though: has anyone thought to use the 'emanage' piggyback rather than the SAFC / SITC / EBC combo? The tuners were surprised that I didnt go the E-manage route; admittedly I told them I knew nothing about the emanage until after I had the SAFC installed. anyone thought of using the Emanage in their Stagea? if so, what sort of results have you got?
  18. Its not an expensive mod, having it done today at Graham West workshops...... best to get it done before the tune.
  19. Graham West Workshops on Marion Road run a division called Adelaide Performance Engineers, and Ive seen a phat GTR in there having work done for 'Regency' applications! Going back tomorrow for more work to my Stagea...... they are highly experienced & can help with GTR's.
  20. Thats what I was thinking..... probably hard to determine how thick the wall is as well. Cheers for the input. Dont know if I'll ever use the KYB's, got them to muck around with (one day). Brendan
  21. Mines all going on my Stagea from tomorrow... Hopefully by thursday/friday night I can post up a dyno graph in the Stagea section.
  22. Can you lathe adjustable spring gruves into any (within reason) suspension strut? Ive picked up some KYB items that I'd like to give it a go with........
  23. hahahaha - near Myponga! Mate, my totally favourite riding area. There are some sweet-as off-camber roads around there, from Mylor thru to Rapid Bay. Thats a 100skm area of awesom-o roads. Cant talk too much here about my favourite riding roads in that area, lets just say Deluxe is spot on, and its probably a conversation that should not be recorded! But a 'cruise' thru here wouldnt end up being a cruise at all....... if you get my 'drift' BW
  24. Ive got around 150hrs of Carl Cox music (over 120hrs on solely worldwide Live Sets)... so Im a Carl Cox fan for sure. Yah, it was great to see him play this year, problem then is every year from hereonin wont be able to compare. Deluxe probably typed Off Tap the way it should be typed. As some of you know, Im over 2m tall, and was around 5m from the front of the stage(a) where he played, so had an awesome view, pity my eyes were playing tricks on me. But for original threads purpose, Im not too sure I'll go this year, 2nd baby will be less than 2weeks old at that stage, so need to be home with family.....
