Help Regarding Buying Parts From Nengun
Tangles replied to AlexCim's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
Go the Nismo FPR item & looks like top quality, Ive got mine at home (with an Apexi fmic, Z32 afm, turbo for a GT30 rebuild, and Apexi SITC) waiting to go on my car. If you're doing the fuel pump, do the high pressure fuel lines as well, as per SK's suggestion. $100-odd for the lines and double clamps is cheap insurance, if you're putting more pressure thru the lines. I too am wondering which fuel pump to buy, the 040 or 044. Only after 180-200awkw, but the GT30 rebuilt turbo will be able to supprt more than that....... -
It can!! Take it back to stock, sell it off, grab the RB25DET Stagea with Attessa 4wd, and bolt on all the parts you've already got for your current coupe. The Stagea's are cheap as for what they are, and as rare as rocking horse poo. Handle brilliantly, for a wagon, and go damn hard as well. Not very many manuals around though....... People's, if youve got kids and a dog, a Stagea is a perfect family car 1 day, and a drag machine the next! Brendan

Here is my pride and joy.... for all those with families, go the wagon!! It seriously is an AWESOME car! Brendan

U Can't Go Past This Kinda Power -> Weight Ratio!
Tangles replied to Mean_R34's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I'll have my 150rwhp (186kg) Fireblade any day of the week, I mean with those crazy lean angles, triple-figure-speedo wheelies etc etc. But yes, that little car would be a top weekend hills toy. Brendan -
Thanks Jase..... thats top information mate!

My Stagea Is Looking For A New Home...
Tangles replied to AMS's topic in Four Door Family & Wagoneers
You'll (might) find it hard to sell at 22k - not enough people know about the Stagea and how good it really is. I got mine 3months ago in Qld for under 18k. Fact is in todays 2ndhand car market you just dont get what you think it is worth... ie, you think 22k, market probably says 10% less than that. Options are to sell the mags, etc. -
Yah, I sent a long txt message asking for a chq to be sent to me..... I received a heap of calls afterwards but I couldnt bring myself to talk to the seller - was just too angry. Fact is, Ive got a SII R33 turbo on my Stagea, I have no need for another! Buyer beware I guess.

Guys, had Bill at Adelaide Turbo Services check out the turbo I bought. Its definately a series 2 R33 RB25 turbo charger and actuator. I got ripped off by a forum member who contacted me and told me he'd sell me his R34 Neo turbo. Paid $650 for this turbo - although it is in very good condition, I got reamed as it is NOT a Neo turbo. Now Im probablt going to have to save up a further $2100 and do a GT30 internal fitout to it (next stage up from a GCG hiflow). But Im not happy about how this has panned out. In fact Im 'upset' by the fact that a forum member would go out of their way to contact me saying they've got a Neo turbo from a R34, ask good dollars for it as if they are doing me a favour, but yet not do the research to determine whether it is in fact a Neo turbo. To all of you others, thanks for your posts and extremely helpful information that you've kindly supplied me. EDIT: oh well, thats how its goes sometimes.......

Hiya all. Well, the turbo I bought (was told it was a R34 Neo turbo from a forum member) is actually a standard series 2 R33 turbo. A bit unhappy about that. Went to see Bill at Adelaide Turbo Services... he's explained what GCG do for the $2000 upgrade option, and what he can do for $2100. ATS will use steel wheels, new bearings, and make the turbo to be like a GT30 internally, capable of high boost. Contact him for more details, but its a similar 'stage' of the GCG upgrade. So, Im now saving up $2100 to go this way. Oh well, no great rush. I'll just put everything on the back burner for 6months and go from there.......

Oooohhhhhhh yeah! without doubt...............

Had some great advice and help in another thread regarding the turbo I bought. Going to take the turbo to a local shop, and see what options are available, but I'd think steel wheels and a larger rear housing is the go for this project. Got my intercooler from ebay now, was remarkably clean inside and out. Gave it a flush but was in super condition. Happy with that; being Apexi you can see the R&D thats gone into the unit. Thick metal but yet so light as a whole. Super air flow by the looks. You can honestly see why they are so damn expensive brand new. Very happy with that! Core measures 385W x 230H x 60D, end to end tank is roughly 560mm wide. Exactly what I was after, can paint it lightly in black for the stealth look, move my numberplate to where the sidemount currently is, and cut a big hole where the plate was fitted, keeping the spotlights where they are. With the k&n pod & apexi front mount sucking the air, a beefier & regulated fuel flow thru new lines, apexi adj. ignition timing, larger z32 afm, full 3in exhaust, ebc, apexi airfuel pc, and a beefier turbo.... Im hoping it s going to get near my 180akw mark at roughly 10-11psi, with maybe more available for short bursts at 13psi on the duel stage EBC. Cant wait to see what happens!!! Sound system is tops, will do the front brakes in 6months time, and at this stage Im pretty happy with the suspension. I'll tink with that over the next year or so. btw: finding Im drving the car more than usual, and not riding the bike as much...whats going on? Brendan

OK, no worries, just shooting my finger typing keys off... actually can grab them second hand off ebay (generally need rebuild anyways....)

might help. r33 service manual, 491 pages in .pdf format www.crankroom.com/sau username: sau password: august

Well, Im still going to go the Adelaide Turbo Services and have it checked out (when I get a chance; they can do the piping for my new Apexi fmic with the C-bend behind the cooler, so that original pipeholes can be used). Might start saving anyways and have the turbo rebuilt with steel wheels, I'll discuss that with the shop when I get there. Pretty much I want this turbo to give me around 30more 4wkw. But if its no good, then Ive got 2 turbos to sell, and with the change grab a HKS 2535 off nengun! We'll see, not too sure what the plan of attack will be now......... will let you all know.

Well done emanuelt - thats a better option than the price I got last Saturday for the manufacture of moulds of my Dayz kit. Nice sides, good rear wing, and front looks cool as well. Go ppls' go!!

UPDATE: Stereo installers put screws thru the wiring harness.... duh!! <_< Auto electrician wasnt told the full story, in particular about a CD stacker fixed under the passengers seat. He followed the cables to find the CD stacker and immediately saw the screws thru the wiring harness. This was earthing out the system, and blowing the 30amp fuses (big ones to blow apparently). SO - all fixed. Hurrah. 4WD & ABS work again, stereo ppl's footed the bill, and I am 1 relieved Stagea driver. Spent hrs upon hrs searching these threads for any info whatsoever (now not a fan of the searc button, done too much of it in the past 7 days!!) Brendan

hope these are ok Yes... bummer

Yup, will do, will take another photo asap. Trying to get to A.T.S. here in SA to have it properly examined; if it is the R33 then I might as well start saving and hiflow it, then sell my current turbo of the Stagea. Going by the thickness of the housing (45 not 50mm) and the thickness of the flange and distance from 'snail to flange' from your post, its gotten R33 written all over it. Its so damn hard to get around the place to have things checked when you work too many hours!!!

Questions: Stagea is in an auto electricians place, need urgent help regarding the 4wd system. 1. Where is the attessa unit? rear right hand area around the wheel well? 2. Where is the attessa pump? if the pump is faulty, would this then start blowing abs fuses in the engine bay? 3. Anyone got a wiring diagram of the 4wd system, or cvan point me in the right direction. Im not sure if the people who installed the stereo, and the electricians now who are going over the car, know where these things are. Im stressed out a bit - any help would be appreciated. Brendan
-
Going by your info Abo Bob; damn it, the turbo I paid good hard cash for is therefore a bloody R33 turbo - which is what Ive already got! Cubes: the thickness of the housing seems to be 45mm not 50mm. Suggests R33 not R34. Man Im not happy!!! Just because its got a platic front wheel its been assumed & sold to me as a R34 turbo. Add in with that the blowing fuses after the stereo install = no ABS or 4wd, and boy am I an unhappy person..... the auto electrician the car is with at the moment has requested me to supply him with the cars wiring diagrams etc! Grrrrrr

Thats an excellent price...

Thanks to everyone whos read this and had an opinion, you've all been very helpful. Cheers to you all. I'll report back and let you know what it is!! Plus a power figure for my Stagea!! hahaha (Got 141kw now at the 4wheels, putting on beefier fuel lines, fuel regulator & fuel pump, Z32afm, apexi sitc, apexi fmic, & neo turbocharger. Expecting 160+kw at the 4wheels.) Brendan

1. 400+km per tank (compared to 450 for a coupe) 2. fast enough for me (with normal mods) 3. depends on your current rating I guess, plus read the 'how old are Stag owners thread' 4. why would you? they are there to be used....

Ive changed the excel download. Need to note the following: The very first 'blank' part is actually: Electronic Accessories The one named earth is wrong it is actually: Clock Hope that helps Brendan Stagea_FuseBox.doc
