  1. Got a quick query; are the Whiteline springs with the group buy kit (both front and rear) a better buy than say Tein S. Tech Lowering Springs to suit the WGC34? Can anyone comment on this please? Also, how would the Whiteline front camber set compare to the Tein front Fixed camber kit? Lastly, can anyone confirm whether R34 / 34 GTR rear shocks only will fit in the rear of a Stagea? Cheers for your thoughts...Brendan
  2. Terminal, are you going to ask the shop who did the original installation to pay for new rear tyres? Brendan
  3. Good point StageZilla. I'll probably paint mine black, but not sure as yet..... Just received my pipekit from USA, waiting on some silicone reducers (probably ordered the wrong size now!! doh), but might start the install this week over each weeknite. Did all your pipe kits come with lipped edges to stop the silicone joiners popping off? Cheers, Brendan
  4. How high of a level of tune are you going? Im using a Z32AFM & a Apexi SAFC & a dual stage EBC, with an Apexi SITC for that little extra tuning potential........ is a PFC always neccessary? Brendan
  5. Yes, in around June this year when I was really looking into buying a Stagea, one of the Qld compliance plate holders offered me the opportunity to import any S2 and then have the R34 front end conversion performed.... it wasnt that much more additional $ to the standard compliance fee, by memory, just a few grand? Stagea RS-Four, maybe a few phone calls are in order! Try Skyline Imports, perhaps Nismo? EDIT: yes, they look awesome! Brendan
  6. I really wanted the S2 myself, but figured Id be better off spending the $18K to buy a sweet-as S1 and put 8thou into mods, rather than spending the $26k for a freshly complied S2. Although I REALLY wanted the Neo Tiptronic S2, I thought that a 200awkw tuned beast might be more fun that a standard tiptronic autoshifter plus I borrowed against the house to grab my Stagea....... Brendan

Im going to grab some suspn goodies from the original list, just going through all the various options etc.... Brendan
  8. Total agreement with StageZilla..... SK you are a credit to yourself. Cheers to you.
  9. ebay?? I bought a few 2.5 - 2inch reducers just this week. But I didnt see the 2.25's............... Brendan
  10. Hiya all, Im after a set of secondhand / good condition aftermarket height adjustable shocks from the rear of a series 2 R33 coupe or sedan (or Stagea!). Want to put a set onto my 1997 Stagea wagon but I will use my standard Stagea springs due to the higher spring rating than what is used in the R33 coupe / 4 door. Im in Adelaide but can arrange TNT Express freight pickup from most locations..... Anyone have a spare set of adjustable rear shocks sitting around? Ive got a set of front GTR's, just after the rear GTST's (thats what a Stagea uses). Brendan
  11. Alex, great minds think alike. I'll post up a heap of pics into that new thread when I do mine...............
  12. Thanks very much. I'll work out what pipes are needed, cut down to length, and then head off to a 'metalcraft' store here in Adelaide to get some lips done. Cheers to you for all your informative posts! Brendan
  13. Im using aluminium, buying a boxload off ebay from usa.... hhm, didnt even consider the rolling of the lip. Where can you get that sort of thing done? Cheers, BW
  14. Yes I certainly will keep you updated - although Id suggest this will happen later down the track, maybe mid next year (after I get my end of financial year Bonu$) Quote was for $700 to supply and install the valve body and a large automatic oil cooler kit, but Ive got a contact with one of the lads there, so maybe slightly cheaper for me!! =) Brendan
  15. Im not welding pipes, and I simply bought a pipe kit of ebay USA yesterday. Just going to use silicone rubber tubes and clamps..... but my dad's got a MIG welder so I can zap some together if need be. But shop quotes Ive received have been stupidly high. Like $800 for mandrel bending 2 pipes & installation.
  16. $250? It'd be for my Stagea - to try out just like you did!! I'll pay for postage on my TNT Express account..... Brendan
  17. Wow!! nice! See page 3 of this thread for pics of my Apexi cooler. Quite similar, except Ive got the 'cooler only and need to custom the pipes..... buying a boxload of pipes and will use what I need - probably have heaps to spare though. My 'cooler looks narrower, not by a huge amount though. Its actually meant for a S13 and flows upto 400hp. Going to take my time with the work, just a bit here and there when daylight savings is here. Thanks for the tip about the auto oil cooler.... as it is Im going to do the valve body auto changeover at MV Auto's plus a big oil cooler kit. But thanks for the mention! I'll make sure it still gets the airflow...............
  18. Query: Did you reset your ECU after the addition of the new aftermarket parts? If not, do so, it might help somewhat. From what I understand, you should always reset the ECU after adding new parts. And you wont 'lose your tune' that you just paid for, as such. Hope that helps? Brendan
  19. Hi Stagen, Yeah mate I will take photos.... Ive ordered a 2.5inch 6061 grade aluminium pipe kit from USA (wasnt too expensive for a heap of pipes and connectors - off ebay), and 4x 2.5inch to 2inch silicone pipe reducers (for the ends of the 'cooler and standard pipes that connect to the side mount 'cooler), Bear in mind this is a 'C-bend' style Apexi 'Hybrid' intercooler so I get to use the standard holes for the piping. Im going to do the install over 5 days during the week once I receive the pipes, in around 2 weeks time. Just going to take my time with it, as Im not that great with my hands as such. I'll post it all up once its done! brendan
  20. Yes, lol, Ive got one of those as well... in the car at least. Not on the bike though!! I took off the rear seat and pegs and made a solo seat cowl to keep the wife off! Brendan
  21. Im getting my workshop to do it to my Stagea (with high pressure fuel lines & bosch 040 installed, plus a Nismo fuel pressure regulator) - I just dont trust myself when it comes to vehicle electronics........
  22. An engine in a 1997 Stagea surely would be the same as in a 1997 R33 coupe. Basic rebuilds start from $700, but a hiflow job with steel wheels is $1950 at GCG or $2100 at ATS. I believe this sort of translates to a 'Stage 2' and a 'Stage 2.5' !!! Ska, Im positive it'd be a direct bolt on.....
  23. Ive read around 6.9secs, so 7 would be spot on. Also, I read 'somewhere' that the S2 tiptronic auto shifter shifts (up) at around .9 of a second and less when down shifting..... can anyone confirm?
  24. Alex, Bill at Adelaide Turbo Services can help you out, apparently he does a lot of work in conjunction with GCG. In fact he told me he sends customers turbos to GCG for the GCG $1950 rebuild, but if they want something slightly stronger he has his $2100 ATS rebuild turbo option. This ATS option makes the turbo internally into a GT30 turbo (as such) with large steel wheels, new bearings etc, full rebuild, whilst still looking like a stock R33 turbocharger & actuator. Bill says its a stronger option than a GCG rebuild...... I reckon he's an honest bloke, and Graham West Workshops swear by him, so Im going this way - but will take me a year to save the cash. Maybe In the meantime, Ive got my Apexi cooler, getting some pipes sent to me and some silicone tubing, and Im going to attempt to install it myself in around 3 weeks time. Prices that Ive been getting for installation are ludicrous..... After that my fuel system gets upgraded with high pressure lines and a bosch 040 pump, all my parts get installed (Z32 AFM, Nismo FPR, and Apexi SITC), and will have a full retune on the dyno at 10 & 12psi on my EBC. Brendan
  25. t-hehehe would look good if you could get it to work!!
