Here's something that will help you understand how policing works under the current economic model the worlds goverments seem to like best:
* People who drive decent cars generally have money, therefore are able/likely to pay fines (through the threat of licence cancellation/rego suspension/the sherrif being sent 'round to collect their sh*t), therefore contributing to the economy.
on the other hand
*people who commit real crimes (like home invasions) are broke-ass centrelink scammers with no regard for the fabric of society, therefore are extremely unlikely/able to ever pay fines, therefore the bulk of policing efforts should be directed elsewhere. i.e where da money be at
