  1. while second hand cams will cost next to nothing, you may get a shock when you find out the total cost (parts and labour) to convert the hydraulic lash adjusters to solid. in fact, a 2nd-hand GT-R head will probably be a cheaper option.
  2. installing the lock collars is the easiest solution
  3. what's gay?
  4. if it's currently slipping on the street, it'll prolly die or become worse on the day
  5. same esp. in black, lowered with works/volks
  6. i don't think there'd be as much in it on tight tracks or twisty mountain passes as you'd like to believe. i used to worship at the altar of BNR, but now i'm not so narrowly focussed. remember- NA cars need less power than turbo cars to be quick due to better throttle balance/response and no lag and the 350GT will have better weight distribution of course, dollar for dollar, a 34 GT-R would always murder a 350GT in a drag race, but it's hardly relevant in the modern speed camera infested, over zealous cop, stop start cities we live in. the styling isn't to everyones taste, for sure- but the GT is a much more modern looking car. and they look tops with some tasteful mods. yeah- currently. but what i was getting at was, buy the time an actual high-grade early R34 GT-R is worth around $40K, you will be able to get a 4-5 year younger 350GT with brembos for around $20K. which seems to make more sense to me, these days.
  7. yeah- in a straight line but having owned a GT-R, i'd prolly just take the 350GT for city driving or commuting.
  8. '03 350GT for ~$20K would prolly be a better option than a '99 GT-R for ~$40K. but hey....
  9. when they start caring about manufacturing quality componentry (a few chinese based companies do), rather than just jumping on a band-wagon to make a quick buck (ie. copied turbos), then their stuff will be worth buying.
  10. Seems pretty 'normal' in the age of W12 and W16 engines But as a pure race engine, with no emissions standards to adhere to (or mass production origins), it doesn't make huge power for it's capacity and revs, but is still very impressive for a scratch built motor designed on a limited budget.
  11. just look for someone thats wrecking a 32 GT-R my old one was put into a pole by a n00b, you could prolly buy one off the new owner (not the one who crashed the car!) PM me if you are interested.
  12. 526hp from 3 litres is pretty impressive, but, then again, a 3.2L race NSX car will do that with only 6 cylinders...and probably best not to mention to them how much power the 3L V10s in F1 cars were making before the V8's came in (which already make nearly 700hp from 2.4L)
  13. i'd hardly think it'd be possible to get a good final result based purely on using the weight, wheel-base and track specs of the vehicle and feeding the info into a computer simulator. You can only go so far with computer theorizing before you'd actually need to do some real world testing with the car in production spec.
  14. Is a Bugatti Veyron ~$2 million better than a Murcie?
  15. i've previously enjoyed ;]
  16. zero numbers game
  17. the drunken dial oh noes good luck when you wake up tomorrow
  18. Bike dealerships usually have it. Not sure what grades though.
  19. chameleon?
  20. it's all downhill from here rofla
  21. And to top it off- the first bus that came along at circular quay was the 470, which drops me off right near the bottlo at Annandale shops (unlike the Parra road buses up the southern end of Annandale), so i could grab my 6-pack of Pure Blondes for last nights forum-whoring haha
