  8. I know CRD do great work, they have the track times and r.w.k.W figures to prove it. Just don't go there expecting prices like 'Joe the mechanic' offers (u know what i mean), 'cause they have plenty of work due to their history and track record, so they don't need to be some 'bargain basement' workshop. But then again, not everyones as broke as me =P
  9. get ur credit card handy

  12. make sure it isn't the tensioner pulley on the a/c belt. mine actually died and made noise constantly.
  13. damn this thread gets whored whats wrong with just posting a picture or two of ur car?
  14. RB20/25/26's don't have rockers (unlike SR20/RB30/L-series engines), the cam lobe acts directly on the lash-adjuster, which controls the valve opening/closing. Engine oil flush may clean up the supply galleries and make them run quieter, but if your son is prone to thrashing the car, they will often sound tappety as they "pump up" with high oil pressure and increase the valve clearances. Become a member of the club and give Lincorp spares a call if you want to purchase new ones. Cheers
  15. Lifters (or hydraulic lash-adjusters as they are more correctly known on, non-RB26, DOHC powered 'Lines) don't 'knock', the sound they make is more of a sharp 'ticking' noise if they are low on oil pressure (thats your valves hitting the seats more harshly). A dull knocking is likely to be more serious. Just get a mechanic to have a listen with a diagnostic stethescope.
  16. called RTA, then AIS ta da! http://www.dotars.gov.au/transport/safety/...es_3Feb2006.pdf (page 18)
  17. someone must know?
  18. hey all i've searched the dotars website, but can't seem to find the current regulations regarding the maximum allowable increases in displacement you are permitted if you swap engines in a light vehicle does anyone have a link to the webpage with the guidelines table for it? cheers
  19. hmmm- nice intake trumpets
  20. that's what i was thinking ....but i'm broke
  21. i feel for this dude- all he wants is a pic of a 32 with some dishy black-spoked wheels, and we've hijacked the mofo's thread anyway- tried to find something on google image search for ya, but no luck, soz
  22. might have to attend for the first time, methinks
  23. u just wanted someone to justify ur expensive purchase but yeah- you will be able to run bigger plug gaps at high boost with one
  24. if you run out of spark @ .7mm gap- get splitfire coils first, then the twin power (or add the t.p if you have already got splitfires)
  25. yes stezzo = stereo the twin power does an exceptional job for something so innoccuous, but put it this way- ur engine internals will probably die before your nice new R34 coils run out of spark if you have a .7mm plug gap
