  1. can't spell any better though =P
  2. at teh designer responsible
  3. The whole of NSW is being judged according to Steves performance, the Mexicans inform me lol
  4. half of Team NSW was spewing. no such shame, meself
  5. Wheels mag tested a standard R32 GT-R at Lang Lang back in the early 90's, along with other cars, for the Top Speed Shootout. I recall the Holden engineers (who use the proving ground) said that tyre scrub around the curved track will cause a reduction of about 3-4% in top speeds. The F40 there on the day could only manage 299km/h (they have been tested to 324km/h in a straight line), the GT-R 245 clicks. Factoring in that the day was very hot (obviously bad for the turbo cars), you would have to assume that the % speed loss for the GT-R and the F40 would be the same, so 245 X 1.08 = 262km/h But, meh- who really cares.
  6. good idea but $$$
  7. Factory GT-R compressor by-pass valves FTW!
  8. how'd they 'by-pass' the immobiliser?
  9. How come you got 'given' an R34 GT-R to use on Wangan runs? :jealous:
  10. how much are you willing to pay?
  11. how much are you willing to pay, + delivery from Sydney?
  12. sweet. that's the filter change sorted
  13. I've lost count of the amount of people that ask me if mines a 'real' GT-R *sigh* Cheers, fakers
  14. Aerodynamic drag on a vehicle increases as a cube of the % speed increase, so the extra power required to reach a certain speed increases in proportion to that. 32 GT-Rs do about 265km/h stock, so 310 would be near as a 17% increase, so 1.17^3= 1.602. Which means you would need around 60% more power than factory to do 310km/h- Assuming that 32's have 310hp standard (common realistic figure), that would mean you need at least 495hp. Baseline rwkW figure for standard BNR32 is 170rwkW im told, so 300 would be a 76.5% increase, yeilding a 20.85% increase in top speed, or (with appropriate gearing/rev limit increase), around 320km\h. Hope this helps
  15. i still don't 'get' the styling
  16. 32 and 33 GT-Rs have the same overall gearing, with the only difference being the wheels, the 33 having a slightly larger overall diameter using 17s. Based on old magazine 'in-gear' speeds, 32s are capable of just over 310km/h in 5th@8000rpm, and the 33 would be a little more. Not that either have enough power potential on factory turbos to do that, though.
  17. let's go to Gilles we can watch a riot
  18. I've heard that the standard 32 GT-R airbox takes a panel filter that is basically the same as the ones used in early 90's Commodores (VN/VP/VR) can anyone confirm this? Cheers
  19. i'd do that to mine....but i'm too lazeh and broke lol
  20. still remember watching a p-plater rip the side-skirt off daddys Audi when he kerbed it turning into the side street out front of the pizza shop
