  1. ^ @ jonboy
  2. this is relevant to my interests good to know- esp. since my n00b guy has a milder temperament than 'tother man
  3. cheating? ha!, says I. i'd give it 2000hp if I could. I'm all about making RAPID PROGRESS!! your new Bspec botman wouldn't have the required xp for that race
  4. not to mention the massive stack of xp you get for it as well. my 1040hp Toyota 88C-V just rapes that- can just overtake last place at the end of lap 5 will be good once my B-spec guy is experienced enough for it
  5. P.s Marc- I flipped the 300SL at the Merc Nur'ing training once, and I've flipped my Mac F1 and Veyron once apiece (not counting all the times I've let the Bugatti run into the tyrewall at 420+ at the end of Mulsanne straight during high-speed Le Mans free practice runs)
  6. I'm all about the B-spec as of last night. I'm hooked now- can sit there with a controller in one hand and a drink in the other and make good progress. Also lets you do other shtuff while the A.I guy grinds along for you. Nearly at Lev.25 on A-spec, but I doubt I'll touch the wheel again until I get the X1 on B-spec.
  7. been watching a few vids of the X1 in action omfg- that thing is made from 100% solid-gold win: 33sec lap of Tsukuba, 38sec lap of Grand Valley Speedway(!) gets up to 390km/h like it's running in a vacuum. more mental than a big mental thing
  8. so so so much better than last years effort
  9. they must be indestructible, given the way most of 'em seem to get driven
  10. carn mang: a VN commo with a p-plate stuck to it is every bit as tough as an F1 car
  11. and yet- the last death in F1 was '94 so much for all the "speed kills" propaganda we hear ad nauseum
  12. Speaking of errors- Notice yesterday that on my custom version of the Mt Aso tarmac track, the yellow centerline doesn't show up in the rearview mirror
  13. GT5 recall *chuckle*
  14. with soft slicks? my full-house 747hp R34 N1 seems to put it all to the ground with TC only set to 1
  15. I've got the wheel set to simulation with max feedback strength (D force GT), and it's a decent likeness of reality. Controller peeps would find it nigh on unplayable in simulation mode. My Mac F1 has 883hp and weighs 970kg- Even with all the aero mods and slicks it can't be driven with TC off (not anywhere quickly at any rate). TC set to 8 gives the best compromise between allowing a little slip you can avoid with proper throttle use but without the bogging down you get when it's set higher
  16. lol- just earned a 'Human Stopwatch' trophy like a metronome baby
  17. it was bumpy in the old game shit of a track really- too bumpy by far and there's no rythym to it
  18. Do eeet
  19. No no It's the 2nd last Super license test vehicle
  20. BTW- The LFA sounds freaking awesome. Especially good when it gets past 8 grand. Just like in Yewtoob vids Time for another trip to JB for a decent speaker set-up methinks
  21. suppose I should have noticed it from the car list published last week, but the Veyron you win isn't a premium model oh well- my MP4 is and the F1 will be... now back to win the last few hundred thousand credits
  22. New TV today. Just magic on a full HD LCD through a HDMI cable. Feel like I owe the designers an apology for subjecting their hard work to a shitty old CRT dunger for a few days, lol. Yeah yeah- The standard cars are nowhere near as good as the premium, but the high-rez ones are very very sexeh indeed To the peeps bagging the simulation aspect of the game; What's in your hash-pipe? I've cracked a low 55sec lap of Tsukuba in a full-house R34 N1, so it seems pretty realistic to me. $77 well spent.
  23. well cheers for the pre-load warning will just play it off disc
  24. I consider it more me narrowly avoiding having to admit I was wrong about Webbo's championship potential
  25. NOT LONG NOW MAHFUGGAZ! BIG KEV WAS NEVER THIS EXCITED!
