I am using a driving force GT, which probably helps.
car makes 904hp. my gearing and aero set-up results in an average speed of 347km/h for that lap time
straight lap, no slipstream at all
in front from the first turn, then crank out the last 4 laps +/- 0.2 sec of each other
I'd be very surprised if anyone can run sub 41.7 without some kind of draft trickiness
ok- what's everyone's best lap time for Indianapolis on the American Championship?
after a bit of gearing/aero tweakery, I've done 41.774 with my RM'd ZR1. pretty stout I reckon
My X1 has over 110,000km on it now, and it's gone from 1557 to a permanent minimum of 1440hp, after oil changes. I once tested the 'no oil change' idea to see how low it would get, and did nearly 12,000 kays- It never goes below 1340.
Q: I'm assuming (risky move I know) that any cars you race against will eventually turn up in your UCD?. Or are there some cars that you can only buy used if you have the more expensive versions of GT5?
I ask because I've been purposefully refreshing the entire UCD stock list for weeks now any I'm still yet to see the F1 GTR long tail come through the lot (plus a heap of other interesting stuff). It's just the same bunch of shit-boxes over and over and over. Am I missing something here?
Webbo can drive better than any of us ever will, to be sure. Only problem is He can't consistently driver better than the small gaggle of bloques that'll keep him from that elusive WDC.
Neat trick I've just recently discovered- The UCD gets 6 new cars each time you start a new practice time trial track. Don't even have to complete a lap. 5 times and the whole stock list is turned over.
