They apparently limited the car to 240km/h to keep the game going. -
World Time Attack Challenge 2012

That's just a nailed chassis. The way it changes direction and settles at speed is incredible, but doesn't suprise me coming from the guys who are responsible for the geometry, it could have been an Evo/wrx/GTR it didn't matter to them. The 240k top speed was correct for that lap too. You won't see warren hustling the car like I think your expecting to see in this "qualifying mode" it just won't happen. His calm and precise everytime he drives. -
I have something coming out in the next week or so which is perfect for those who can't afford a full on dry sump setup but are looking to get away from the flat drive oil pump. It's more of a cure than a wet sump single stage which can still have surge issues. But it's not anywhere near as expensive as a dry sump conversion. As far as I'm aware this hasn't been done before.

Alcon V8 Supercar Part Package $3000
Risking replied to 24jzgte's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
No I didn't. I dont get alot of demand for ex Indy stuff and one of my suppliers came through with a heap of good AP & Alcon touring car gear so I bought all that up instead. -
A bare empty r33 door with intrusion weighs 13.8kg A gutted door with no intrusion or inner door skin weighs 8.5kg. Complete with glass, reg and motor etc 28kg's One of my good customer spent all day gutting a car this week and was weighing things the whole time

Yeah I have used aviads, Dailey and morosso pumps with power steering and fuel pump stages on various engines Problem with the RB is to pull any decent vacuum you need to use the wider scavenging stages and the pump becomes fairly long. There physically isn't enough room at the end of the pump before the engine mount to fit the additional pressure stage.

They can be good or bad actually. I didn't strip the red one down but soole's white one I have done a couple of times. It's not that bad anymore due to the body work changes that have been made. You'd think the rear clam would come off easy in under 5 mins. It takes about an hour to remove a factory fitted one. They are a pain in the arse to cage, I've done plenty of lotus cages but everyone is different cause your battling to fit various sized drivers into them. Some can for with intrusion bars, others have no chance, roof diagonals are a nightmare they need to be made with the driver in the car and a helmet on just to sure.

Thanks Troy. There is plenty of GTR's that I've done which are competing at wtac, most of them also do regular circuit racing throughout the year so they are normal looking cars though. The BPG GTR's both have Nice setups now as does one of the r34 GTR's that only got a spot last week. The amount of 9L sumps and oil pumps I've got sitting on the shelf now is getting out of control. I actually cut up 2 9L sumps last week just so I could fill out dry sump orders. We are trying to supply these kits at the cheapest possible cost. By buying bulk and using some brand loyalty I've been able to get the price to an affordable position. Also doing really nice single stage external pump kits now using the same balancer and aviad pumps.

Hey Chris. Not sure if this will interest you but I have an r32 GTR shell that's for sale. It's actually been a race car for several years and has a nice 6 point cage installed. The car was in a light accident at Bathurst last year and the owner decided to build a new chassis with a 4130 cage and start fresh. The car has light damage to the OS rear quarter needs both front guards & bonnet. Also from being towed out of the sand trap the NSF chassis rail has some damage at the very front. It is repairable though. I can email some photos if you are interested. Brad

The sump design isn't as ideal as the previous one I was doing. But this one lends itself far better to the new pump bracket and plumbing. With the original sump and this bracket it's very fiddly to plumb up. I did one last week and it took ages, each prolite hose needed an internal spring to prevent kinks and straight fittings are cheaper than 45/90deg ones. So when you can use more straights it works out cheaper to plumb up as well.

Recently ive been working with ross at ross balancers. Trying to keep up with the machine work for my kits was too hard, So now Ross does that side and I can take care of the fabrication and installation. Brackets can be done to suit drivers side or passengers side mounting. The brackets and pumps will work with a ross balancer or the Ati 1000Hp. We did an installation just last week using the whole kit and the customers existing Ati balancer. Ive done 3 cars in the last 4 weeks all with 4 stage dry sump setups. Now the revolutionary part of these conversions is a power steering pump thats being driven from the same HTD belt as the oil pump. The pump needs to be an R33 GSTS pump and bracket however we are working on drive kits for all the common pumps. Its driven at half engine speed and works perfectly at high RPM. From one vehciles motec data logging we've also seen a 20% drop in power steering fluid temperature just by running at half speed. Also now available is a tank mounting bracket thats been specifically designed to mount a peterson/paterson/profabrication tank into the boot of the Skyline. These make tank installation very simple I can now supply firewall bulkhead sections that directly fit over the original heater hose locations. for the road rego'ed vehicles with heater boxes installed we have a bulk head plate to run the lines under the car as well. Kits are available with or without the powersteering addition. Im not selling individual components though. With the kits I can also supply every hose and fitting required to line up the job at a price I can garrantee will not be matched by anyone. Using earls Pro lite hose and swivel seal fittings. Unfortunatly the half moon batch I recevied contained 8 pairs which have already been allocated to kits ive sold or am installing in the next few weeks. If I end up with spares ill put them up for sale Tank Bracket Fire wall bulkheads and rear fire wall grommets And a photo of the Ross trigger setup which im using on all of my serious circuit GTR's now

Another restoration project thats going on at the moment EX GRM tander supercar.

And the best is always last R32 GTR dry sump conversion. This is the fire wall plate which uses two bulk head fittings to pass the scavenged oil and the pump return through. Rear fire wall we have used simple rubber grommet plates. Using an aviad 4 stage pump with a slightly different sump design than I normaly use. This new setup also uses the same HTD belt to drive the power steering

Next was a baffled sump for an AE86 sprinter with an engine conversion Wheels tubs in a VS holden ute Surge tank and bosch pump for trackschools new suzuki swift lease car A pair of Lotus' for various subframe, suspension and cage fabrication R32 GTR diff and gearbox breather. This unit has 3 separated breather sections for the front diff, transfer case and hollinger. They all breather into their own tank which is linked to a common breather manifold. Passengers foot rest to mount up the Haltech control units. We also completed a dry sump conversion on this R34 GTR. Working with Ross' crank trigger kits on all our circuit GTR's has been a great success.

On with some of the work we've been doing recently First is a ground up build for an R32 GTR. As you can see from the photos the cage actually passes through the rear floor pan and into the front subframe mounts. There is some tricky work done to get the two bars welded to plates directly ontop of the subframe pins.

Alcon V8 Supercar Part Package $3000
Risking replied to 24jzgte's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Several customers, I have a prioritized list infact of people asking for parts. Fasttrack are looking for taxi calipers and rotors for some new cars they are building. I had these in mind for them. Marshal (one of the owners) would tell me to buy every caliper I possibly can that's serviceable. I have a car from every stable mentioned other than tekno so why wouldn't I be incontact with said places regularly.... If your offering those Alcon calipers pictured new, and rotors like you advertised I'll take everything you have and I'll update some of the cars from AP's to these. -

I wast aware GRM, techno, 888 and pmm were the wrong people to talk too. I was actually interested in them and my question about where the fronts were coming from was serious. due to the component change over I know alot of places selling off rubbish that's been tarted up over the years. -

http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/topic/404689-massive-4-piston-monobloc-race-calipers/page__fromsearch__1 Aren't they "prototype" lemans calipers? Stickers peeling up seem to indicate they are the same calipers advertised before.... -

What car/team are the fronts coming from?? I've been looking for a set recently and none of the guys I deal with have anything decent..... Every supercar Alcon Ive seen has had a different bridge and pad retainer Inc the calipers I pulled of an ex GRM chassis just this afternoon Those look alot like ex Indy/champ car calipers? -
Email dori. I may be here Saturday but if I'm not I'll leave the rails with next door so you can get them still.

Cals Budget 32 Build

Those are s14 callipers -
In your case where space is critical I'd be doing the following. Watercut a 12mm flange plate from 6000 series alloy. Fabricate an entirely new sump pan that is only a couple of mm deeper than the crank girdle. Use a center trench with a rounded out section for the x member and steering rack. To do the sump it would make life easier to have your engine mounts so the dumby block I use can be bolted into the x member jig. That way there is no guessing if the sump will fit it's azure thing when you go to install it.

Gotta love earls retail pricing. I use the same "valve" occasionally in some of the boats I do dry sumps for. They work okay in theory but can cause more issues than they solve when the engine isn't breathing right to begin with.
