  1. I've corner weighed plenty of skylines. Every one of them varies but on average an r33 gtst's come in around 58%front heavy R33 GTR's are typically 62-65% front heavy. Comparably a 32 gtst is 56-60% front and a GTR 58-62%. Most of the cars I've done vary in trim level, cages, body mods etc so it's pretty hard to get an accurate average.
  2. Selling a pair of immaculate condition seats from the R34 GTR. These are black in colour and have not one mark or blemish on them. I am selling as I have a 2nd pair which I bought last year so one pair can be sold. Seats are located in Sydney and would rather pick up so no damage can occur. Asking $2400 may be open to decent offers.

  4. Any idea what brand and valving you will be using in the shocks?? Really who ever is doing the custom shocks should be valving them and recommending a spring rate to get you in the ball park. I'd be trying something between an 8.5-9 front and a 6-7 rear to begin with. Depending how sensitive you are to the car you may go up or down from there. I'd also be getting a set of selby or similar bars locally. I like to keep to factory size +2mm if needed. Rather shorten the bar up to get use from it as opposed to going larger and increasing the weight.
  5. The mx5 just needs a turbo..... I've got one coming next week for a cage, apparently it's a turbocharged factory engine, goes well or so the owner bangs on about it going well.
  6. All pn's replied to already
  7. It'd need 22,000mile/hr if my guestimation is correct.
  8. Hahaha I think it will need a little more than 88mile/hr to go back there. Everyone should have a delorian though, oh no wait everyone should have a GTiR or 4.
  9. I have a few ideas for the GTR with a wet weather set up duncan. A few quick and easy changes you guys can make at the circuit that cost nothing.
  10. I rekon it would be ironic if it poured again The car starts working well but the weather turns to shit and the car is shit in the wet. Duncan's got no luck either way....
  11. Selling a Barnes 5 stage dry sump pump Was used previously on a Nascar before I purchased it. Had been rebuilt prior to me getting it. It did 1 season of racing on my old R32 GTR. Never had any issues or bearing problems go through the pump, was always run with a gauze before the scavengers and a filter before the pressure stage. I have had the pump apart, cleaned internaly, inspected and all bearings replaced. Not used since It has been sitting for about 2 years as I sold the car minus the running gear, only reason for selling is im now building GTiR pulsars and this pump is overkill for an SR20, going back to a 3 or 4 stage system. Comes with an external scavenger manifold, mild steel bracket for an RB engine but NO drive pulleys. Has 3x -12an scavengers and 1x -10 scavenger. 1x -16 return to tank. 1x -12 tank to pump feed & 1x -10 pressure out. I want $1000 for the pump with the an fittings and the bracket for an RB. I may be able to help with the rest of a dry sump set up if someone is interested. (I wont be giving parts away or doing them for next to nothing so dont ask) Located in Sydney. PM or email [email protected]
  12. I have a caged r32 gtst which I'd sell for a reasoanable price. Good nick straight decent engine. Also have a VT with a 355 and a 5 speed, being caged currently then sold off. Or a Gtir which is also being caged and sold off. 308kw at all fours ( dyno to prove it ) loads of good parts also going cheapish.
  13. The stupid cheap ones are the ones I have used too. Never given me any greif but I thought while doing it I may as well put in the extra effort. I bought a 1200kg 4x4 winch today it's more compact and was very much the right price from Repco.
  14. I'm Currently building my enclosed trailer and planning to permanantly mount a winch inside the trailer at the front. How many people in here actually use a decent pulley system with their winches or do you just drag it 1:1? Reason I ask is I want to get away with a smallish winch (1200kg) to reduce weight, space taken up, cost and a few other pointless reasons I've been using large winches 1:1 for years but looking to do a good pulley system this time round. Any photos floating around?
  15. It's coming chris. I've got a whole fleet of GTiR's now one is almost ready to go racing, surprisingly it's the cheapest and nastiest looking Gtir I've ever owned but it goes like stink. My white one will be done soon enough. I've got plenty if time on my hands now which is handy.
  16. Thanks for leaving the shat house job for me to do this week boys!
  17. Boz put me down for two places when you can mate. I'll bring one of my GTiR's out and a place for the owner of the F6 I did last week.
  18. The model on the front of the machine is TIG200 That's all that's written on it. Ill post it if the buyer is not a tight arse about it and is prepared to pay for boxing, wrapping etc.
  19. I bought this machine to use while I had a Lincoln machine repaired. It is a Chinese brand " chiry " DC TIG welding only from 10 to 200 amp. Stick welding same amperage Comes with a decent tig torch and lead set. 2.4mm tungsten and collets Stick welding attatchment Earth clamp. I was using it to tack up cages and weld stainless boat exhausts for about 3-4 weeks. Nothing wrong with it just taking up space on the shelf so someone may want a cheap TIG welder to learn with. Asking $200.00 not negotiable Pick up from south western sydney.
  20. Also forgot mention it is a full floor trailer and the bed is checker plate steel. Trailer is currently painted hammer tone grey and will be repainted before sale is it has a few scratches and the bed is faded.
  21. I've made the swap to a small transporter truck so my car trailer is up for sale. It's about 3 years old maybe 4 I can't remember. Very wellmade trailer has never given me any greif and tows very well. Bed size 3600*1980mm Manual brakes Dual axle ( falcon stud pattern) Tires done approx 3000kms Brand new 3500kg coupling (last week) New wheels bearings (last week) 3m alloy ramps and 2m steel ramps Multiple tie down locations, front and rear strap loops, front over tire loop and front chain down points. Chains included in sale, straps are not Whinch location and reinforcing plate welded into draw bar ( winch included in sale 1800kg from memory) 5 months rego everything works lights brakes etc It has predominately been used to drag my GTR around Never been in an accident or had any type of repair. I want $3000 for it no offers or swaps. If it doesn't sell I'll use it as a loan trailer for customers and mates I don't really mind. Located in sydneys south west, inspections are welcome.
  22. You have rooted the geometry of the chassis by excessive lowering. You can fart arse around trying to correct roll center, bump steer etc etc but it will never be right without re designing the geometry and fabricating new pick up points and arms. NO alignment or bush changes are going to correct the issues you have created. I specialize in suspension geometry design and correction for circuit racing, it is possible but costly to rectify properly.
  23. Alloy angle will fail. Just because it's 5mm thick doesn't really mean anything. The weight of a filter mount, filter, hoses and the oil inside bouncing around and vibrating will eventually cause the 90 degree edge of the angle to fail. If you don't want something like that failing it needs to be braced with a web inside the alloy angle or made from steel and preferably braced as well.
  24. Druncans car is not too bad. It's actually been well behaved lattely
  25. Bottom end and turbos have been sold.
