I pulled the sound deadener from the airbox of my S2 when i put my K&N in. It coveres about 1/2 of the filter & The induction noise volume increase was minimal.

Hi Fellow wagoneers, I have recently come by a HUGE (720mmx650mmx70mm core) truck intercooler at a price I couldn't go past. So now i'm going to cut it up to fit in the stagea, & I need to know what size a custom intercooler would be best. At the moment i'm considering a 700x200x70 core to fit in the large opening in the front bar & running it thru the standard piping, which would mean a return pipe under the cooler. How does this sound? When it's all fitted right (if i go with this size) I'm thinking of making a couple more "kits" out of the rest of the core, I was wondering who would be interested in one? (pricing will depend on how much it costs me to make) And lastly I'll have left over the standard R34 SMIC, did anyone want this? Thanks in advance, Jeff

Hey Fellow wagoneers, I was doing some searching to find out exactly what kit i've got & this is what i've found. They have the Dayz kit as well as some others. I don't know if you have come across this site before, but it's got some nice kits just begging to be imported. Freeway Dolphin homepage I also noticed the Nissan Avenir's, I'venever seen them before, But there on there...... similar to stagea but with an SR20DET..... does anyone know if these are being imported & if so where can i get one!

Well, I'm going to fit an intercooler water spray this weekend that i'm making from a corrolla wash bottle($10 from wreakers, a couple of garden watering system mist nozzles $2 each & a switch i had in the garage, about $5). I'll get some pics & a how to incase anyone else wants to have a go. Should be interesting to see how it goes.

Hey Fellow Wagoneers, I am interested in knowing what people think of different styles of intercoolers. I only recently found out that PWR have bought out a "barrel" style, duel pass, water to air intercooler that you can fit between your standard intercooler & the T/B. The full setup (intercooler, pump, radiator, & plumbing) costs about the same as a decent sized Air to Air installed, but has a lot more stelth & from what I've read, alot more efficiant. Before everyone directs me to the search button & gives me instructions on it's use, I have used it. What i'm after is your opinion &/or ideas on how we can further cool intake temps. Regards, Jeff

Thats a good thing to know that a commondore alternator fits these things. Are there any other parts, from anything, that can be fitted to our beasts?

Well Ladies & Gentlemen, lend me your ears; I've just come back from a tour of NSW with the misses & kids plus all of their shit from Toowoomba to Aulbury, to Canberra, to Sydney, to Coffs Harbour, & lastly home to Toowoomba. Most of time i did about 85% highway driving (around 110-120km/h, 150 around trucks) & 15% city. On average I'd get 400-450km per tank (around 58L) on premium unleaded. BUT in Canberra i filled up with premium E10 from United petrolium (they call it Boost 98 & it was only 3c more than regular unleaded). From this stuff i got 550km out of the tank going from canberra to sydeny! I was pritty stoked with it, so i tried it again in sydney & got the same 100km extra out of a tank. The car ran smoothly with no hesitations or pinging. I would recommend it to anyone, just to try it out!

i only found the ignition cut would come in when i was running 14psi & as we all know, ceramic turbine wheels cry enough after a while at that much boost. I suppose it depends whether the boost sensor is a switch (ie on or off), or a sensor (variable output). You maybe able to work it out if you call Nissan with the part number & see what they call it. The GTR's have a electronic boost gauge & i suppose the ECU has to get it's intake pressure from something....... Sorry i got no idea, you may need to get your freind to do some back to back dyno runs to see exactly whats happening & to ensure he's not leaning out at high boost.

Hi Fellow wagoneers, Whilst travelling from Toowoomba to Cootamundra yesterday( about 1000Km),my S2 would occasionally stutter, & on the bigger ones the A/T light would flash. It's never happened before & only seemed to happen in the heat of the day. It happened weather it was in tiptronic mode, steering wheel mode or in D, & only happened when it was cruzing, if it was on boost or not. Also my CD player would cut out at the same time. Has this happened to anyone else or can anyone recommend a good Stagea/Skyline auto electrician/auto gearbox place in Canberra? I want to get it fixed before i go back up & I'd love to meet & greet some of you southerners. Thanx in advance, Jeff

It's prob a good idea if you add if you have the standard turbo, exhaust & any other mods. Mine is stock except for a splitfire filter, & i run around 10, but i find at around 5000rpm it feels like a stutter in the power band & i got no idea what it is?

I got this funny whistle coming from the engine whenever i jump on the loud pedal........gets louder the higheer the revs go ........mmmmmm...TURBO.............Agghhhhhhhh.......

24 +2 kids under 1 = wagon = commondore - it cost to much > find new wagon = stagea Unfortunately I'm now addicted to boost....

<<<< Thats the kit in my avatar. prices would be around the same as what you'd pay for a good quality kit for a commodore/falcon/skyline/supra. so about 600-800 for the front bar, 200 each for side skirts, & 600-800 for the rear, all un painted & without lights. They just said that it would be no trouble to do C/F stuff, & didn't quote me a price. At the moment, I'm just trying to gauge the intrest, to see if it's worth their while even doing it. They need at least 1-2 orders before they will take the moulds. I'll get back to you all on more firm prices in the coming weeks.

Hi guys, I was having a chat to some guys that specilise in import & custom body kits, & they said that they could take some moulds of my body kit & start manufactoring them, if they get sufficiant interest. They also said they may be able to make a kit similar to the MASA kit for about 1/2 the price. Carbon fibre bonnets/gaurds would be no trouble either. Regards, Jeff
