  1. Well over $30,000 and you'd still be leaving ALOT off the parts list.
  2. Save money and use a JUN item, cheap insurance in the long run.
  3. Hey Jake, It's benny. Hows the Rotor coming along? If you don't want to go OS with the added torque you could look at a Pfitzner unit. Probably run you about $6.5k for a four gear set that retains the stock 5th gear, but includes stronger selector forks ($1100) included in the $6.5k. They go up from there to upwards of $9k for a straight out dog engagement for track use/drag racing. This is a dog engagement thøugh. Alternative is PAR which uses a five speed dog gearset and upgraded selector forks for $6300. You also get the option of choosing your own gear ratios. Also from PAR you can get helical cut or straight cut gears (same price). Or a combination of both. I wouldn't expect much change out of $5k but they do syncro boxes as well with stock or custom ordered ratios.
  4. Good cars, you drove a 10 year old example with the S50B32. Hunt around they come in 3.0 ltr and 3.2 ltr guise with the 3.2 having the double vanos, better sump and a few other bits and pieces. Some people think the 3.0 ltr is a better engine for playing around with, but all the serious hitters world wide use the 3.2. The fastest BMW in Australia runs the same engine you drove with a turbo. They are a great car, a bit of fun. From the factory they are geared far to long, especially the E46's so shorter ratio diff gears should be on the cards with anything that has a 6 speed in it. Definantly capable, and a good bit of kit.
  5. Thanks mate, prefure a set in Sydney though.
  6. Thanks mate, will do. Anyone else?
  7. After a set of stock R32 GTR rims. Prefure a set in good nick, not like those at Just Jap. After some to fit up a set of drag radials, so I'm not fussed on tread or not. Shoot me a PM if anyone has a set they are willing to part with

Mark @ Hills Motorsport would have done the tune. He's located in Castle Hill, down behind Unique
  9. Fark, that's some major damage. Fixing it?
  10. Hopefully the damage isn't too extensive. But as everyone has said, it's only a car and the main thing is your not injured. Glad your alright and hope it all gets put back together quickly
  11. I don't really see why a stroker kit is one of your main priorities you can make 600-650 bhp easily enough with the standard displacement. If you want to rev the arse out of it your going to need valve springs, retainers, some major head work and a big set of cams. You'd probably want a surge tank and duel pumps if you were going to be doing a bit of drag racing as well with a big strong clutch. Have you been and spoken with any workshops about your goals and budget?
  12. Amazing how many people feel it's their right to say "I've done this..." and feel it justifies them hanging shit on a guy in his own thread. If it's not akin to your liking, you can always not click on the thread. It seems to have dragged what was a good thread down unfortunantly.
  13. It's hard to quit unless you REALLY want to quit. There is a difference between thinking I should quit and I want to quit, to being totally dedicated to quitting. Smoking is a lifestyle, and to totally drop it from your life takes a huge commitment. Plenty of strong willed people have trouble quitting and then staying away from the darts, I think the main thing you take away from it is how much it stinks. Everyone has different methods or tricks to quit be it gum or patches etc. One of the strongest message's you can possibly witness first hand is to take a trip to the onocology wing of your nearest hospital. Lung cancer is a terrible disease that destroys lives, the 5 year survivial rate for non-small cell lung cancer (the one you get from smoking) is 10%.
  14. Go on, get another GTR. Roundel's boring Good luck with the sale, tidy package!
  15. Congrat's on the ET improvement! Peter and Duncan are a well organised friendly bunch who know how to put on a good day at WSID. I went out in March with them, lots of fun.
  16. Best bet to see how quick it is would be to take it out to a Wicked Wednesday WSID street meet. Heaps of Skyline's head out every week and it's good fun, the weather is getting cold enough now to run some good times.
  17. Yawn. Does happen, did you miss the part about the spacers? Get over yourself..
  18. RX4's are 4 stud, not 5 Makes perfect sense that they'd snap. Burnouts, and possible use at WSID with hard launches with rims, wheels studs and spacers put's it in the realm of possibility quiet easily. Still, sounds like he was driving pretty dangerously if he was smoking them up George St. Hopefully no one was seriously injuried.
  19. If your mechanic can't work that out for you, I reckon your best to be spending your $$$ elsewhere mate
  20. That's a really good idea. It makes it so much easier than searching high and low to find out what times people are running. SAU is a really active community and has a high volume of posts each day making it hard to sniff through it all.
  21. Hehe. Yeah refurring to the GTR, makes more sense now! Cheers Out of interest know the ET for the GTR?
  22. Hey awesome trap speed. I'm just curious, your power figure is considerably lower than it was 12 months ago. Did you have the tuning pulled back a little? Or were the previous figures of 330+ kw's run on C16?
  23. Spotted. MIS 33R pulling out of the vicker @ Dural and going past me just after the left turn at the roundabout onto Old Northern Road.
