  1. soon, my last day today to work on the car for a couple months before i move south so will start the write up when im unable to get my hands dirty!
  2. Crank timing pulley was a bitch, ended up using screwdrivers, hammers, tire levers and claw puller when it was out enough
  3. this crank pulley (not the balancer) = shit job used screw drivers, hammers, tyre levers and a claw puller when out enough...!!!!
  4. Head went to Gilberts Cylinder Head Service this afternoon to do porting, clearances, clean out and open up oil returns and general recondition... Piston out time!!! The bolt tray is filling up!!! And there looks to be a little blow-by, I knew this prior to opening the prick up tho

  7. once the suspension was loose i just pulled on the caliper and it wouldnt come out as the boot held it on, once the boot was off it came off easy, did i do this wrong?

  10. Head off today, and timing belt. The collets in the pistons I placed there after head off, as you can see a lot of shit on the pistons
  11. Seams I work best at night, once you start there isn't much point in stopping... Bed time now tho

  13. Got into it a bit more today, moving to Melbourne next Sunday so want to check out state of the pistons before I go away, that way I know how much I need to save up

  17. i have the cable and nissan fast software, good fun, also use http://www.techdiag.co.uk/obdscantech/web/pg002.html this one it has a balance test and couple other nicks and tricks this nistune looks good, looks a way for me to keep the usage of consult with $300 cost for hardware before the tune as opposed to $1000+ for most what have you done to avoid corrosion etc while awaiting for the engine to go back in and run?
  18. this way seamed really easy coming out and i have been told lining box and engine up in can be a bitch so i will try back in one go too
  19. the blue thing to bolt the engine onto? borrowed it from a 180 owner, without it the job would have been near impossible, or are you refeering to the rear wheels jacked up on wood and forklift tyne extenders??? trolley is cool tho would instructions and details be useful you thing guys?
  20. hadnt done this on a gtr before, about 6-8 hrs work getting ready, 1 hr bolting up engine and 30 mins pulling it out

  23. is it? know anyone who can get me a a side frame support rail? i sort of had a couple people jump on me when sitting on the side and it bent it
  24. i split the tailshaft in two pulling the motor out but forgot to mark on the shaft with paint so i can bolt it back in line the same as before with out any rotation, will this be a problem???
  25. oh we actually had to lower the engine part way and go off the front hook on the bar otherwise it wasnt coming out!!!
