  1. I want to remove the factory boost control solenoid which is still lingering in my engine bay after I put in the new boost controller, I used to have it in there sitting unplugged to hoses, but connected too the loom, does it need to be in there still?

  5. can you confirm it is a 3 screw sensor unit by taking a photo of the back of the odometer assembly under the rear cover please? i have purchased a couple units now and neither have been as advertised

  7. MD Spares kit is cheap, I think justjap sell them a few $$$ cheaper. A friend is assembling the engine, standard compression pistons, the block was cleaned up but I dont remember being told a heap was shaved off it, I want to run around 400kw when finished with this motor so I think I will get the metal head gasket to allow safety margins.
  8. On my CP piston spec sheet bore is listed at 3.406 3.40600 inches = 86.5124 millimeters Should I purchase a 87mm head gasket?

  15. What are some ideas to make use of my RB26 pistons and rods I got lying around? I'm thinking something along the line of the support for a table by bolting them onto a bit a metal tube in a V6 orientation and welding legs on.
  16. they new audi S5 has a display that lists radio stations, in face so do most new european cars, and maybe even the new GTR? if its okay for them to display radio station info, shouldnt be a problem for you
  17. we almost contemplated hooking a yoke and rudder pedals up to a copy, the I/F is great, if you want to get the most out of flying like a real play, set the virtual cockpit and look out over the front with just the top row of instruments, you dont need most of them to fly anyway and it makes bad habits

RB26DETT Ported and Polished Head HKS 2530 turbos Forged and balanced internals Aiming for 350awkw Couple questions guys; 1) Getting ready to reassembly the motor and I need to source a new set of gaskets for car. Should I use metal gaskets for the intake manifold/throttle bodies or is this overkill under 20psi? 2) When picking a head gasket I dont want to loose anymore mid range or bottom end but with the goal of 350-400kw should I buy a 1.2mm head gasket to keep things a bit safer, or stick with the 1.0mm? 3) Putting a power FC back on her, should I do the first engine start off the stock ECU from before rebuild then once it ticks over switch to FC? 4) How many KMs should I have on the clock before the first tune, a lack of good tune and the RB oil problem was what killed the girl first time round, turns out stock ECU on bigger turbos is stupid Thanks guys

  23. Hmmm... Great weekend except the loss of little Willy in the car crash Saturday night. I won best presented sports car for the Ferrari which made my day... anyone else got photos??? I got some of some of the old holdens etc too, anyone wanna see them?
  24. this will allow you to use the R33 style key hole cover on a R32 too!!!
  25. Isn't the benefit of a F/I car that it can detect the pressure and temp difference and adjust as required the basemap? We were cranking 6000ft, or 1800m density altitude (pressure altitude adjusted for temperature) in Toowoomba the other day, that's not crazy unusual for here and cars run fine at the top or bottom of the range.
