  1. How important is the shielding on the two wires on my AFM plug??? The loom was a bit damaged so I cut that section off, should I wrap some loose wires around the outside , connect to the existing earthed shield then heat-shrink it all together???
  2. I had same problem the other day on my R32 GTR, two large rectangular connecters near the washer bottom supply battery to the ECU, weird it goes that way round. Check them.
  3. Yeah, maybe just his lack of coherent English made it painful to hear and I'm still trying to figure out what was said by him.
  4. don't buy an ebay jobby plenum if you dont trust it, we have had problems using them on RB25s before, missing fittings, leaks, poor quality
  5. Did anyone record tonight? What word for word did that tool say about how lots Torque means the Cayene go faster when its above 80kph? May have gotten wrong, but isn't the abilty to pull off a line down to the Torque of a car, the Power is more readily associated with the overcoming of drag over time?
  6. What colour is mirror, and does the fold-in motor work?
  7. looks like I will try that and make some adapter plates up to suit the pod filter snorkles I already have.
  8. I'm confused too, since installing the Z32s the bend pipes wont connect with the AFMs due to size difference, the 80mm bend kits are $900+!!!
  9. Feel stupid, and I probably shouldnt be working on the car at 12am but, the two plugs in the front of the engine bay near the pod filters are in the 12V always on connection for the ECU
  10. ignore that, behind the kick panel on the pass side near the ECU I beleive, not going out to the garage again till the morning though
  11. To revive a dead post, where is the ECCS relay on a R32? and the 30A fuse paul has drawn, is that the one in the engine bay?
  12. Forgot to mention I do NOT get power on the other 12V pins at the ECU connector when the car is turned to on either, but I DO get a 12V supply to the IGN connector on the consult data port!!!
  13. Hi guys, Stripped the car and putting her back together now, anyway I want to check the Power FC I brought so I plugged it in and turned the ignition to the ON setting, but no dice on powering it up, so I checked the loom, no constant 12V anywhere on there even with the IGN set to ON. Window wipers, a pump near the diff, lights and all the rest work! Where should I be searching? the ECU fuse is not broken in the interior. Thanks Dave
  14. the second one I called up, they put me on hold for 10 minutes so i hung up and ordered off the first one, thanks for the help mate
  15. http://www.bluespot.co.uk/stock/dab_glass.asp it looks hot, will make my car look like a remote control one...
  16. Cheap tunes arent always good tunes, my last tune cost me about $8k in a rebuild so-far
  17. What would a set of semis to suit standard R32 GTR rims set me back, delivered to Brissy?
  18. Many progress yes yes Sanded down and ready to paint. Etch Primer on Painted before anything goes back in
  19. This is my battery removal effort in the front, under the rubber cover is the connection of the +ve, starter and wireloom, it can be pulled out of the way if I need to jump the car. I ran the +ve cable though the cabin and into the boot where I have a battery box and new earth.
  20. thanks!!!
  21. still searching
  22. As per title, looking for a catch can I can swap out the radiator overflow and the can for, R32 GTR no battery in front of car so space isn't a problem. Have seen the justjap ones, but they are designed to remove the washer bottle
  23. what about the front solenoid, did removal of that cause any problems? what I've done in my bay
  24. Just to resurrect a well old post, if I remove the front and rear solenoids form the HICAS system do I need to modify the loom to not screw up the power steering? I am more than happy with the routing of the front hoses, just curious about the electronic side of it all.
