  1. News to me, I told them the car would is in QLD and currently being transfered to WA, but wont be licenced in WA for a few months. Chick on the phone said it wasn't a problem, the car was insured.
  2. If you get desperate, got both in Perth.
  3. I got a pair of the orange ones. $40 for the pair + postage.
  4. If you only want that power level just chuck a stock-ish 26 in there. Will cost you approx ~4k for a motor. Throw another 2k at it for some GT-SS turbos, 1k for a PowerFC, injectors, pump, and make 300rwkw sometime in the future.
  5. HELL NO. No way in hell I'm putting my contact number on one of my cruise threads. I don't want 15 calls on the first leg instead of actually driving and I'm sure every other organiser would feel the same way...
  6. Uhh don't think so Matty. Well, the 3 cops which have pulled me up in the months that I've been driving on QLD rego didn't know anything about that anyways. I've recently brought a car over which has a motor transplant, aftermarket everything, and a cage. All you have to do is the same as you would if you got a yellow sticker.
  7. There were 30+ cars out, and it was a damn good map...
  8. I find they are fine for daily driving if they are stock-ish. Mine with 660cc injectors is a pig on fuel, but apart from that its very reliable. It wouldn't have a problem with the highway driving, and if you treat it well you wont have that many problems with breakages. When something does go wrong though, expect to pay through the nose.
  9. Based on that, I own the "rare" GTR...
  10. what the f**k was he thinking doing that at 8:30pm with 2 passengers? clearly being weak, you could do at least 260km/h on Roe....
  11. Whoever asks this question clearly hasn't come out of a corner with their foot planted in a GTR and had the car pull you out of it, or experienced a limiter launch.
  12. Ditto. I've got a crunch into 4th when above 4000rpm. Ross at AutoClutch is very good, he just rebuilt my OS Giken tripple plate and it's not that bad to drive at all, even without a sprung centre.
  13. Lets not go over the top here if he just wants a power figure. Simon Natalotto over here did 638rwhp (472rwkw) and 131mph to back it up, with a 5u block, built 2.6L + t04z, standard box (albeit he's broken a few), and standard driveline (as far as I'm aware). Basic's would be a well built std capacity motor (allow 13-15k), fuel system (2k), single turbo (4k), and a decent clutch (1.5k). Thats assuming all the basic mods like exhaust, cooler, power fc, etc etc are already done. Still a long way off from fitting it into a 20k budget including labour though...
  14. I'm pushing 360rwkw @ 20psi with an N1 crate motor and HKS 2835's. My tuner is hesitant to push it any more than this, as the N1 heads are still the same as the normal RB26's, and apparently experience valve float around 350rwkw. Also, although they have a balanced crank and "semi-forged" (read: cast) pistons and rods, they have standard piston rings as far as we can tell, which would mean they wont like much more than 20psi.
  15. "this rock keeps tigers away" "no doze keeps kangaroos away" same same on topic though, you're all a bunch of pussies. I've lost count of the number of late night hills runs we've done (probably close to 100), and in fact I did one tonight. I've seen a couple of roos on the side of the road, and seen a grand total of 1 person hit one. Total damage to his car was a new front bar, a new headlight, and a new bonnet. "If I'm travelling down Leach Hwy a truck might pull out in front of me and I might not be able to stop, therefore I wont travel down Leach"....
  16. BBK Automotive in South Fremantle. 6/6 Strang St. Call Ben on 0415371404. He's the best spraypainter I've ever used.
  17. Nobody wants a cheap complete set of quality brake pads???
  18. As per title, just replaced my brake pads for some Ferodo DS2500 (~$300), so now have a spare set of EBC greenstuff pads. There is about 40-50% meat left on them. They are in good nick, not glazed. $50 for the pair.
  19. No, they didn't. Chinese whispers ftl. AP Engineering stopped producing units. RB26 PowerFC's are still freely available from APEXi and can be bought here: http://www.nengun.com/apexi/power-fc-hand-controller-d-jetro Matty, as I know the car you're thinking of buying, I wouldn't let the ECU stop you. It's more than likely it wont need a tune at all, however if you want to get the tune checked and ensure it's going to run smoothly on our poxy 98ron fuel (like I did when mine came in) it wont cost you much more than a couple hours dyno time at $130 an hour. If it's really bothering you, I'll swap you my PowerFC for your F-Con
  20. they used to be cool gimmick's to gain attention < hp
  21. Ideas for next cruise: 1. Don't make meetpoints so close to residential areas, otherwise you'll only have 10mins MAX before police arrive. 2. Longer legs, keeping a cruise within one or two police districts (eg. all NOR) is not only boring, but also attracts attention. 3. Metro area cruises are all but dead, some hills/out of the way roads are required for the early legs. 4. If the cruise is going to be big, keep away from low-speed single lane roads. Just some suggestions...
  22. blah blah blah we were on the scanner all night there really wasn't anything more important for them to attend, and the number of calls they get about reckless drivers heading somewhere on a cruise warrants their presence. Cops were great all night, didn't hand out a single yellow sticker (according to the cop I spoke to at Malaga). 1 fat prick of a cop stopped us getting back into the carpark to collect our cars after a few of us jumped in 1 car to go to the servo, but he copped a mouthful from us all and we moved on.
  23. you're a bit of an angry kid aren't you? should be some fun tonight, I suspect the X3 will chop you all from the lights....
  24. 511rwhp on stock injectors. it's all about the batch fire....
