Hey all, Can i get some help as to where i plumb these parts up to... In this pic is underneath the greddy plenum, i've got some water lines and the AAC valve. I've cirlced the ends that i need to hook up so some help there would be nice This pic has 2 water pipes that i dont know where they are meant to be plumbed up to... I also have the heater circuit to go inside the car.. which is only 2 pipes, AND i'll need to either run a water return or feed (which ever one is on this side of the block) from here too i take it? And lastly on this side of the block where are my oil feed, water feed/return

Can i get some measurements Sydneykid, you ask which measurements i wanted previously before the forums went down... i want any and all measurements! I have measured up using half my old tailshaft... and from the flange that mounts to the diff to the middle of the uni joint on the yoke it measured in at ~112cm i just want to compare this size with an r33 as i may have to modify one to suit my car. I have spoken to hardy spicer and drive line services here in brisbane and they are unable to help me with the required flanges for my application at this time Dave

Who makes them? I have been to Hardy Spicer and Driveline Services and they both dont have the correct flange to make my tailshaft. Are there any other places out there who do driveline work ?

RB25DET 5spd + Slave Cylinder
Skyrine-Dave replied to Skyrine-Dave's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
cheers will investigate... i suppose the clutch would be 'taller' than stock being a twin plate... its missing from lining up by about 1"... with the push rod and cylinder as far back as i goes... a short push rod might work.. sounds dodgy... but might work. The cylinder would still have full travel... hmm -
rb20 and ca18det parts (gold coast )
Skyrine-Dave replied to k43's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
you dont happen to have the thermostat housing off the block do you? -
Hey guys.. I have put my rb25det 5spd into my car.... without the slave cylinder attached. Now i have come to bolt the slave cylinder on, but the throw out fork is too close to fit the slave cylinder on properly as the metal bar pokes out too much... Now...how should i go about fitting the slave cylinder? i think the pistons is bashed back as far as it will go... i tried pulling on the throw out fork, but with the OS Giken twin plate... it aint moving now where fast. i really dont wanna have to drop the box from below the car to free up some slack on the fork... any ideas?

how much do u wanna pay for them lanky? you selling the head to big al? i might be persuaded to get rid of mine and put some Poncams in... or LankVL special grinds in it

wanna get over 350rwkw?
Skyrine-Dave replied to performance-wise's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
i really think you should aim for 200-230rwkw, due to the fact you say: a) your a newbie to performance B) you currently have 180rwkw c) So far all your mods are you 'typical' upgrades for reach the 200-230rwkw target. (which is alot of power anyway) To get 300rwkw, which is a shitload of power! you are going to need: * FMIC * Larger turbo (GT30) * Custom manifold * Wastegate * Larger injectors * Decent clutch R31Nismoid has got a fairly built engine with all the support systems pretty much and his cranks out 270rwkw and will make more when he gets a better fuel pump. in Summary: Aim lower -
Part numbers section
Skyrine-Dave replied to gtst25's topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
Gordo: Since you reeeeally love photo post... i reckon we should incorporate the photopost with the part numbers thread idea... have a pic of the item and its corresponding part number. Should also contain info such as can an identical part from a local car be used... ie Speedo sender from a Nissan Navara can convert the RB25det 5spd from electrical to cable driven for only $23, compared to $200 ex japan for a 'skyline spec' sender -

Skyrine-Dave replied to magic1's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Steve you are just as much a part of the personal bagging in this thread... but i too am surprised that the thread has lasted this long, however i'm not dissapointed, its entertaining to see the new posts every day -
Hey guys, Would anyone happen to know how many teeth are on an R32 gtst and gtr speedo sender? Its the part that plugs into the gearbox. I know that R33 gtst has 17 teeth. I want to know this to see if my ratios/speedo will be out of whack when i go to drive. cheers Dave

throttle body for custom intake mani
Skyrine-Dave replied to carl h's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
nice! yeah i knew what car it was from!! but nissan wont even attempt to look it up unless i had a VIN number. And since i dont own a Q45 Infiniti it made things hard... even getting gaskets for an RB25DET i needed a VIN# (i dont own a 33) -
Sweeet it took some dodgy work but we got the clutch plates all aligned, pulled the gearbox off, went to tighten the bolts and didnt know if we needed a specific torque setting, so i did them up as tight as i could, then used a breaker bar to do them up a little tighter. RB30 should be in the engine bay by tomorrow

anyone ?

Hey, I have an OS Giken twin plate clutch and i am wanting to know the torque settings for the alan key bolts that hold the pressure plate down Cheers Dave

throttle body for custom intake mani
Skyrine-Dave replied to carl h's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
where does one obtain a Q45 throttle body from? I've tried the local wreckers = nothing I've called Nissan = Nothing... "Gives us a VIN# or get f**ked" ideas? someone pimp one off to me -
seriously man its not that hard. find a vaccum/boost line, T-piece into it and you're done. again if you dont even know what an inlet manifold is or how to Tee in a boost line then you shouldnt be working on your car! Asking questions on a text based forum isnt going to help much either.

big 3" PWR aluminium radiator and 2x thermo fans. With my rb20det i could turn the thermos on and keep water temp <80deg in stop start traffic.
-
As per title: stock RB25 inlet manifold wanted Thanks

the pistons were catalogue rb25 forgies brought thru Trev, JNR24 compared 2 sets side by side, same part numbers, mine were just larger :S cant complain now, whats done is done. Just need to sort out alot of shitty things before i can put the motor into the car
