that ad just screams dodgy
look in the for sale section. R32-GTS is selling a hybrid copy, or what ever u want to call them.. 600x300x100 core now for $550!
Once i get more cash together i'll more than likely purchase one similar as i know i can get them for $600 any time i want.
i hate ebay for the fact there are ppl like this who scheme and make up hopeless ads.
yeah i think i'll take mine to get the mixtures checked out, this dyno time will also be loading it up a little helping bed the rings in... once the mixtures are ok, go driving for 500-1000km's then come back and say 'boost this mofo right up'
i've found this which may be suitable.. but i'm sure someone on here with more knowledge will shut me down... ie SK

Nissan Navara speedo sender. Total cost of ~$23
One thing i'd be concerened about is the ratios of that gear. But the VL guys seems to use that in their MX7's and RB25det 5spds.
for those of you going front facing plenums,
i'm looking at gradenko and Bl4cK32 here (the only ones i can remember off the top of my head)
What are you doing for an accelerator cable?
i have been told to get an s14 cable... is there any difference between an s14 and s13 cable?
and for those putting RB25DET 5spd into R32's... how are you combatting the speedo sender problem?
the solenoid will have to be wired up to an output driver of the wolf.
i have an EBC solenoid wired into an output of my EMS and i control boost by changing values on the Pulse Width Modulator (PWM) value. Its pretty much just a way of tellin ghte valve when to open and what KPa to regulate boost to.
that'd be tops (Y)
then i can get more info and pass it onto my dyno guys.
Reckon you could find out the procedure for run in to etc and what it involves? They may keep it secret tho :S
R31Nismoid:
ok so you are going on a chassis dyno to run the engine in.
are they going to do a full power run/tune? I understand you have a GT30 so are you going to take a freshyly rebuilt engine on a chassis dyno, do a few ramp ups to bed the rings in and then go all out 20psi 7500rpm power run and tune?
what is done when it is run in on the dyno? chassis dyno or engine dyno?
is a full power full boost run included?
my dyno shop said they would just chuck the car on the dyno and start ramping it up tuning for full power straight away.. and they've had success at it... but i am VERY uncertain about that method. I'd prefer a nice run in scheme
I'm interested in this as my EMS is tuned for a 300hp RB20 using stock injectors.
so i'm wondering how it will go when i start it up with 700cc injectors
IMO dropping the clutch is the worst thing you can do for a good launch.
I used to slip and ride my clutch off the line from about 3200rpm-ish... it got me moving smoothly and at the same time was building boost. HOWEVER its a real bitch on your clutch and will wear it out if you are constantly doing that.
Dropping the clutch in a RWD car will either bog down or wheel spin
my experience and opinion only.
I have a very large PWR aluminium radiotor that is 2-3" thich and there are 2 thermo fans behind that. On my rb20 i would start to panic if water temps went above 83deg C
yeah thats true. But i dont think a 3L with a GT35 with a small exh hsg is going to take long to come on boost. I wouldnt mind a little bit of lag to assist with getting some traction to get moving.
But i spoze the trade off between efficient intercooling at high power levels is to have a larger sized cooler and associated with that is lag... hmmm
