  1. Yeah thats my thinking joel, bed the rings in the old way of loading it up and backing it off for a few hunded K's. I forgot to mention something, i have programmable management. So obiously the tune wont be suited to the 3L. Now to even perform a proper run in i'm going to have to take it to the dyno to get some form of run in tune done. Now this worries me as the car will be brand new <5km old if i drive it to the dyno shop. and straight away it goes on the dyno to get the AFR's checked. This concerns me :S
  2. Hey guys, I visited my local dyno guys today and there are a few things i'd like to discuss. 1. their recommended run in method: I enquired about their recommendations to run in my rb30det and their reply was. Due to todays technology and manufacturing processes etc its is pretty much safe to just strap it to the dyno and start the power tuning straight away. They mentioned that clearances and bearing material are more advanced these days and i would be able to just bring the car to them on the base tune and they'd do all the rest on the dyno. This goes against a majority of what i've read, but is consistant with other peoples views. any discussion on that? 2. Can you put the rb30 crank into the rb25 to make an rb30det at all? Again someone mentioned and i wasnt too sure about that. I dont want to do it, but could it be done and what would be outcome be? Cheers guys
  3. fuel reg sold injectors still available, original post edited
  4. hmm interesting calculator. It recommended a GT42 if i wanted 26psi, a GT30 for 22psi and a GT35 for 24psi My engine is very similar to Bl4ck32's setup. I already have a GT35 with .82, application will be daily driven, and i would really love to go to willowbank and punch out a good time... low 12, high 11 in my dream world. Rev limit would be 7500rpm absolute max! maybe even 7000rpm for safety
  5. hmm being nippon denson, pintle head cap design and identical to a stock rb20 fuel injector how does the spray pattern vary? would it be the duration that they are held open etc. Thats the only thing i can think of for a fuel injector to spray differently if they have the same design.
  6. ylwgtr2: They sound like they were 12A injectors. RX7 13B injectors came in Low impedence (red tops) and high impedence (purple tops) both @ 550cc
  7. RS500, You seem to know your turbo's. Can you tell me .. do you think a GT35 with .82 will be able to produce 500hp@wheels and if so approx what boost? i would expect it at around 25-30psi, true? or would it be a better option to buy a 1.06 housing? i am also contemplating purchasing a 1.06 exh housing and utilising both maps in my ecu (EMS Dual sport) 1. for .82, 2. for 1.06.. have them tuned accordingly.. but just an idea. thoughts, comments?
  8. for rb25 you just need a top feed fuel rail, top feed injectors and suitable collars to fit into the head. Mate has done it on an SR20 and is in the process of doing it for my RB25 head. I would be interested in hearing what sort of power figure 550cc's will max out at. Is 500rwhp out of the question ?
  9. hahaha ... umm.. interesting thread.... bro wanna sell ya GFB bov then ?

  13. That is a very nice power and graph, tho if it was me, it would be getting the AFR's fine tuned so you dont have that sketchy curve very nice
  14. what would people recommend as a streetable clutch that will hold 500hp@wheels?
  15. Hey i am after a BOV my requirements: - must hold 20psi boost - doesnt have to make any fancy wanky sounds - price must be = or < $150 Let me know if you have anything suitable Cheers Dave
