Apexi Power Fc For Rb25 Discontinued!
Nabil replied to Evan_R33's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Online Performance are on Ebay...they are asking $1300 for a pfc with hand controller. Thats a bit steep. -
My mate has a R34 with HKS2530 dump-back exhaust fmic pfc -tuned at CHASERS GFB bleed valve spitfire coilpacks made 207rwkw at 12psi but i suppose its got more in it. My R33 has an safc, dump back zorst, fmic at 12psi it made 211.2rwkw. If i were you take it to C&D Motorworks in Braybrook (Melbourne) for a re-tune. A later model skyline with a Neo motor should at least reach the 195-205rwkw zone. Diagnose your engine for any possible problems that may be preventing your engine from producing its actual power reading.

Group Buy # 3 Arospeed Adjustable Cam Gears, By Popular Demand
Nabil replied to r33kid's topic in Group Buys
Put me down for one exhaust side RB25 cam gear. Depending on numbers towards the end of the gb, i might get a pair. -
Yep, same problem with my R33. Took off the turbo last Friday for an upgrade and i realised the rectangular gasket from the collector to the turbo had may deep cracks in it. Must of had one more thrashing in it left before it leaked constantly.
-
The water inlet pipe between the head and firewall that goes to the turbo has a hose clamp attached to it as it leaves the head (removed it). Further along, say 10cm, the hose joins to a brass pipe this is bolted to the back of the head via a small rectangular bracket (i cannot reach it at all.) Just before the pipe turns and heads for the turbo it has another bracket (which i have removed) Now, the pipe turns and goes directly to the side of the turbo. (this has been remmoved.) Reason for removing it completely is that i will replace it with a hose from head-to-turbo. As i am pretty sure i have kinked the f@#k out of it. Will be picking my GT3071R (custom spec) today!

Just a thought. If your gtr is stock its not a good idea to be running an oil cooler. As this obviously reduces the oils temperature, which inturn increases its viscosity making it thicker and slower moving. Resulting, in alot of stress on your oil pump that can cause it to break down & will eventually run your bottom-end dry!

Need one pretty soon. PM me please if you have one.

Should There Be A Gasket Between The Turbo And The Elbow?
Nabil replied to Abo Bob's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
Sounds like you have blow-by to me! You might want to buy a catch can. Try that and see how you go! -
If it were up to me i would get a GT3071R with a 0.62 ar rated at about 500hp. Its a great street turbo with full boost coming on at about 4000rpm. It will also make more power than your typical highflow. It will spool up quicker than a GT30. (Dont mean to start a war here! ) However, this is my opinion. The cheapest way is to ask yourself what power and what kind of power delivery you wish to have. This will save you time and money in the future as you wont have to keep spending money on things you wont need; and sellings things that are no longer required!!! PS - I will be buying my GT3071R tommorrow from Rotomaster, will post up what happens as soon as its in spoolin'

Hey guys putting my new huffer on soon. Wanted to know wether or not any of those stock replacement dumps on ebay wil FIT? (I am sure they will fit the stock T3) If not, can an ex-joint make one up for me while the turbo is bolted on to the manifold? Any exhaust joints recommended in melbourne?

Whos Jammed A 3inch Pipe Straight Through There Gutted Cat?
Nabil replied to RaZ_TuRbO's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
I had hks dragger cat back (4inch) i then got a 3inch front pipe made up from the dump to the mid-muffler (no cat). Suprisingly, it does not sound loud at all. This might have something to do with silent style hks exhaust (more bends on it.) Bear in mind one of the most restrictions in an exhaust is the catalytic converter aka cat!!! -

Turbosmart Blow-off Valve (plumback) $180
Nabil replied to Nabil's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
Basically any fluid (ie. air) in your car that currently circulates within the engine must not be expelled into the atmosphere. Plumbacks - meaning the air that will normally rush through the compressor wheel and give you the trademark flutter is released via the blow off valve and then plumbed back into your intake pipe just before the air flow meter. This is exactly what the stock unit does...this turbosmart one will do the same, but can withstand more air pressure without leaking! Tell the cop to go jump...that will relieve alot of stress and if your luck a generous fine!!! -

manifold.doc Hey I would like one for a top mount rb25 with external wastegate outlet on it like this one here. How much is postage? Can i pick it up? With T3 flange please.
-
I have the same prob in my rb25. It has a HKS EBC on 12.5psi it spiked to 14psi on a warm day on the dyno. T This effected how much power I mad; as it spiked to 14 it made 211.2rwkw and then drops back to 12.5 to make aroung 205rwkw. However, other than that I had a healthy fuel and power curve. It will spike more when the air temp is cold as colder air is more dense that hot air; thus give your engine some extra power and a little more stock boost. Doesn't really seam to be the cause of your problems though. It most likely comes down to tunning errors.

What Colour Are Your Stock Injectors On A S2 97 R33?
Nabil replied to Nabil's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
As far as thats is concerned it came with a SAFCII when I imported. What do you think? -
Thanks heaps, 'discopotato03' What the cheapest price for a GT3071R these days? Preferably in melbourne.
-
If it is still running put me down for a exhaust side cam gear for a RB25.
-
Thanks 'discopotato03' ill quote this CHRA no700177-0023 when i purchase the turbo. While we are on the topic if a particular turbo is rated at 500hp. Is that the figure it can provide at the flywheel or the rear wheels? Will this turbo clear the block and chasis? Will it need a spacer?
