  1. Thanks Paul!!! Excellent to know you still have yours if I need to come get it! How much would you be wanting for it roughly btw?
  2. It's not exactly the most accessable area to work in (the only thing about japanese cars i don't like!), but within an hour it was all to pieces. I left those studs practically floating in CRC overnight before even trying to undo them for that very reason snapped studs would not have been a good addition ehehe. For a while there I was almost tempted to sell off my stock exhaust hardware and use that as an excuse to puchase a slightly larger GT 30'series, custom manifold, injectors, new compy and some other goodies, but I'm just wanting it back on the road asap atm, I'll play with it after exams if anything Did you end up replacing the broken studs or just leaving them and tightening around them? I don't think any of the ppl I know bother replacing them when they break, they just tighten around them the best they can normally. People seem to tell me that alot.. ehehe Yeah I was quite surpised at the extent of the damage around the casting, I'd never seen an RB manifold crack like that before either..it's very artistic, the kind of thing you really would want to put on your mantlepiece I'll have to bring it down and show you @ kwinana sometime, seeing as we'll all be back down there again shortly.
  3. You could say that Kym..ehehe..I had been driving her a little hard over the past few weeks and last week the manifold just gave way entirely due to the heat. It was funny taking it to pieces because the crack was huge, right through the centre and almost a perfect circle all the way around. Any extra weight and it would've snapped like a twig. In a way it's good though, it's forcing me to clean the ex side of the motor down properly where I couldn't quite reach before and inspect turbo a bit better..no shaft play which is good.
  4. Thanks Paul, yours is definitely on the list if I can't get a hold of another within the next day or so, makes it a bit hard to spend time working on the car with exams, but I'm making time
  5. Hello Guys/Girls, I wouldn't normally do this, but I am after a stock exhaust manifold for my r33 GTST, fairly urgently. By wanting I do NOT want, re-welded or machined manifolds, preferably someone who has either recently upgraded would be very cool if you have one available, in good condition. Thanks people )
  6. Yep mate, I got one for you. PM me for details.
  7. Your Silvia was a complete loss because it's auto, N/A, what did u expect? ..if you're after a decent 33 with a straight body, no panel damage, immaculate interior and a well kept engine, you won't be paying budget prices. There is a shortage of good ones around. $25k+
  8. Your R33 only uses coil packs. For the spluttering issues, it will either be spark plugs or that a coil pack will be faulty, which will cause a misfire. Please don't start pulling random hoses and such off the wastegate actuator without properly regulating the pressure, unless you would like stuff to start breaking? The stock fuel system will run very rich so there is no need to worry about underfuelling, if anything get it tuned with an SAFC (or any decent piggyback or complete ECU replacement) like GTS-t VSPEC suggests. It is all tuning.
  9. When was this exactly? Because I have been up and down West Swan road a fair bit recently.
  10. Damn, only a couple of days too late, oh well.
  11. We could seriously argue all day about this kinda stuff. =( Fact of the matter is: Cops are getting worse and I think the majority of them just look for easy revenue and unfortunately imports attract it. I strongly believe that handing out stuff like yellow stickers for dumb shit is pretty ridiculous though. I recently got yellowed in Fremantle by 2 m/c cops for BOV and suspension after telling the guy that it was licensed AND complianced with it...I gave him absolutely no cheek whatsoever and he was still a k*nt about it. Only to be stuck with a $50 inspection fee and then to have the guy at warwick pits turn around and tell me that my car was perfectly ****ing legal in it's current state. No, I think cops are bringing on their own bad reputation for doing half the stupid shit that they claim is for our "well being" (although speeding is a personal choice and you deal with whatever happens...just hope no-one else gets hurt). I mean ****..the head inspector at East Perth pits excuse was "If an elderly woman is crossing the road and the BOV lets go and she dies due to shock, that will be your fault" Well okay - if she's in THAT kind of state, she wouldn't even be out crossing the road. But no, trucks and buses and all other common machinery that have a shitload more gas to vent, which is exposed to (and scares the **** out of) everyone, but no, that is perfectly fine. *shakes head* I think if the old and pissed off cops are gonna remain on our Police force, they should commit them to ****ing paperwork so they're not issuing tickets for dumb shit that they have no idea about. Out justice system is ****ed especially when you actually do the right thing and then still get the shaft. =(( Sorry about the spiel guys...I'm just sick of cops in general and this was the icing on the cake.
  12. Yup, my bearings are gone too, not too loud atm, but it'll get worse I'm sure..I will be replacing them when I get my new clutch. Oh yeah Strich9ine, you will need approx 2 litres of oil for that box..I will be doing mine soon too, I bet it's on the original oil..
  13. lols....I *hate* that...they sit way too low for any normal ramps, unless u jack from the sides first, or just undo the front bar
  14. Weird...most of them shutdown completely when you unplug the battery? Do you have a backup battery installed? also?
  15. But then you run into droning issues when driving which will get pretty irritating. I have a kakimoto myself and they flow really well...thats all u need, if u want more noise just ditch the turbo-cat assembly, get a new dump and screamer pipe made up and ur set dude.
  16. Hey steve, what exactly needs changing using the factory solenoid to improve boost?
  17. Yay! Can you help me sort my membership @ osborne park? Some dude that works there sold me a shite package when I first started there last October and I told him I wanted to pay cash coz it was cheaper, but nooo apparently taking it out of your bank account is the way..which isn't quite true. And yeah, big hassles atm with Osborne Park =/ The rest of their staff are really good though...apart from that dude. Had a big chat to Nikki? I think it was..she was really good about it all too.
  18. GTR brake upgrade for sure =) Much better than DBA's package I reckon
  19. Yeah people I know, over the past few days have had all sorts of nasty stuff happen to them unfortunately. People have absolutely no respect for what they don't work for. Clueless ****wits.
  20. Some 17x9's would be very nice..I am looking for some lightened rims that I can fit 255's on at the minimum...anyone got ne ideas please tell me! =)
  21. Fuel light? ...series II r33's have fuel lights?? Spanky as. I never knew that, I normally don't let it drop past 1/4 tank, guess that's why =)
  22. Cheers dude =)
  23. When and where are we all meeting up btw?
  24. I'm in with NO_RSPECT, we will steal business off the limo drivers whether they like it or not. I'm sure we can also find some 17yo ladies who'd prefer the ride in imports as compared to the limos anyway. Need to gets lots of us together though and make a decent size appearance.
  25. Definitely gonna be down there spectating.....ummmm cars ...yer that's it Nah should be an awesome arvo/night turn out for all of us.
