  1. Clutch takes about 2 hours if you have a gearbox hoist handy with all your tools. Not hard at all. Give me a yell if you need a hand
  2. A 1000hp package requires that degree of monitoring given that you're sitting on a hand grenade and the gauges alone are worth a fair bit. It helps that JUN have deep pockets too. For our needs, I believe one of each gauge is more than adequate. But of course if you want 50x gauges, then the spank factor is always good I guess
  3. Hey guys, timing belt is not hard to change, just allow yourself plenty of time and an air ratchet for the crank pulley as it's normally way too tight for any ring spanner. Just make sure that you mark the all the pulleys (cams+crank) before you remove the current belt, unless your pulleys are already marked of course, loosen the tensioner and you're away. If theres anything I can help anyone out with, PM me and I'll do my best.
  4. There should be no problem fixing the leak? I don't see why the mechanic is unable to reach the leak? The engine should not need to be hoisted either. Source where it's coming from and fix it asap, otherwise you do a lot of damage in the process of doing trackdays while it slowly leaks. PM me if you like
  5. Whats wrong with normal globes ? You can get the Bosch ones for $6-8 from Coventrys
  6. Either per4manz or turbotech are a good choice Good luck with the new engine
  7. East Perth did my car over well and proper for bov, noisy muffler, suspension, tower brace and other un-necessary shit like steering column position etc. Welshpool or Warwick is the go for an easy pass.
  8. Just allow yourself at least an afternoon or so if you haven't done it previously and it's also worth changing the water pump in some circumstances too if need be. Nothing to be too scared of though, just work at your own pace.
  9. I got done twice in the last two weeks, in freo and on canning highway exiting to perth, both resulted in the cops pulling out their compliance books before even asking if I had permits, which I did. Wankers...
  10. It's almost worth putting in a few extra years of uni just to become a cop in reaping the benefits of endorsed corruption I guess. I'm more annoyed to think that none of them could care less about anyones safety in passing these laws and prefer to count the incoming figures. Best source of revenue for the government really.
  11. Haha neighbour annoying exhaust notes are the best Personally, the bitch makes me sick - I hope she goes quickly.
  12. Their 34GTR is very nice but they're asking $115,000 for it I believe. All the same, I'd be jumping on it if I had the cash
  13. Spot on, it simply allows the car to not use first gear and hold traction better than it would've done, a friend of mine has it in her auto 33
  14. I've heard nothing but good things come of the kaaz diffs from the 33 owners that use them. If you're going to go for a mechanical diff of any description, then a bit of extra noise is to be expected anyway

  16. Haven't you heard? HKS and Trust have now amalgamated
  17. Couldn't have said it any better
  18. I have had alot of success with buying and selling cars through the Quokka and I have never used Autotrader in my life, so it's definitely worth giving it a go mate. Autotrader are pretty swish, but generally they are more focused on digging deep into your pockets rather than keeping the customer happy - I believe.
  19. HKS make good stuff normally, good filter for racing, but for street it's probably one of the worst available. Allows way too much dust in.
  20. Any possibility of today after 5-6? If not tomorrow morning should be fine
  21. Yes it poses a few interesting issues. Engine will simply cut out for no reason at all at it's own choosing.
  22. I live in North Perth, work in Perth, but I can drive where-ever I need to if possible.
  23. Paul, can I have it? Please? =P
  24. Sweet as Kym! I saw your car near Omni during the day a few weeks ago btw, she is purring like a kitten and sounding very strong. You haven't flowed or changed your stock turbo have you? Yeah I learnt the hard way snapping studs on other cars..CRC is your friend though
  25. Hey Paul, what kind of condition is your manifold in? If it's not overly burnt around the flange or warped, I will more than likely take it off your hands
