Trader Ratings
«Cyph3r» replied to «Cyph3r»'s topic in Site discussion - including Ideas/Feedback & Bugs
omg look what i have started -
What has happened to peoples trader ratings and will they be coming back soon?

i have only heard that the above mentioned company is expensive, thats the only negative comments i have heard before from people that have had work done by them. compared to some top sydney workshops prices though they aren't really that bad. I would recommend P.I.T.S for tuning however.

Exhaust Exit Laws
«Cyph3r» replied to Scribble's topic in Importing, Compliance, Modification Laws & Regulations
• The exhaust outlet must extend at least 40mm beyond the furthermost outboard or rearmost joint of the floor pan that is not continuously welded or permanently sealed which could permit direct access of exhaust gases to the passenger compartment, but not beyond the perimeter of the vehicle when viewed in plan. • The exhaust outlet, if to the side of the vehicle, must discharge to the right hand side of the vehicle and downwards at an angle to the horizontal of not less than 15 degrees and not more than 45 degrees. • The exhaust outlet, if to the rear of the vehicle, must discharge at not more than 10 degrees above or 45 degrees below the horizontal. • All exhaust and muffler systems must be free of any leaks or mechanical faults and should be adequately supported. -

*R32 GT-R* Body Shell Only!
«Cyph3r» replied to GT-R_M-Spec's topic in For Sale (Private Car Parts and Accessories)
omg why did the owner paint the turbos, wastegates and everything else? Was this car brought in under the race/rally import section or 15yo rule? -
IS your mate able to put oils seals in a pair of toyota ct12a's i pulled off my car? Any idea on cost to do so? I am 90% sure the oil seals are gone but is it possible to work out if they are without pulling the turbos apart? Only thinking about doing this as opposed to buying another pair as these are apparently high flowed and steel wheeled. Thanks buddy Jamie

Help! Looking For "Perfect BOV Sound"
«Cyph3r» replied to Tonba's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
What the continous noise on gearchange rather then the segmented one??? so i am wrong again? damn. In my old car it was reversion as i had no bov but i thought the wastegate was also attributing to the noise  I also can't understand it so i'm probably wrong but i have heard the noise from my mates old datto as well that had an external gate and bov and from a few other cars in videos that had external gates. I am not sure if it had anything to do with the external gates but i just assumed it did. Sorry if i have mislead/confused anyone Jamie -
Help! Looking For "Perfect BOV Sound"

Help! Looking For "Perfect BOV Sound"
«Cyph3r» replied to Tonba's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
lmfao *grabs the badge and pins it to my shirt* i have definately heard one before mate, i wasn't talking about when it is wide open on full boost and it roars, i was talking about on gearchanges. maybe its just my old car and my mates car that do it and all the rest in the world don't but they distinctly made a segmented rather then continuous noise. on my mates car you could hear the bov was continously open while the wastegate "sounded" like it opened and shut a few times. Help! Looking For "Perfect BOV Sound"
«Cyph3r» replied to Tonba's topic in Engines & Forced Induction
hmmm hks ssqv sounds like a bird dying or getting sucked into the turbo or something, i don't like it hey.:whatsthat for the, as you decribed it, perfect bov sound 1. buy a vl turbo 2. make sure its an auto 3. get the biggest bov you can find 4. get a fmic so everyone can see your cars turbo 5. get a pod filter 6. tighten the bov as much as possible 7. sit at traffic lights/pedestrian crossings/intersection and hold your foot on the accelerator and brake at the same time and then back off the accelerator. 8. look around to make sure everyone is looking at you 9. take off doing a sick one wheeler :burnout: Disclaimer:This is not intended be provoking everyone with vl turbos, only the ones that do shit like this. :sly: PS back to the point of the thread. You can get the "fluttering" noise too if you have an external wastegate, different gates make different noises when you back off and some seem to make an almost fluttering noise as you describe. The bov fluttering noise everyone says is bad as its reversion but my old 33 made the fluttering noise as i had no bov at all and the hks turbo on it had no shaft play last time i checked and still worked well. What is this comment based on? Anything to explain why you said this as i am sure everyone is curious why you are claiming them to be rubbish, i sure am. I don't know anything about these gearboxes so i am just interested to find out like most other people here. Also, about the ikeya shifters, i read in hpi i think that they are slower shifting and more awkard then the stock shifter, great idea but just seems they didn't get it 100% right. Oh and not that it really means anything but I WIN is running a Pfitzner gearbox in his 33 GTR now, might be worth asking him how its handling the power. If you want to pm him his username on here is MR33.

or pull the fuse if the controller is too much effort as well. only difference then is the extra weight and you have choice between 4wd and rwd.

had one of these on my old car, is not an antilag system, it is purely for building boost without load on the engine, ie staging at drag strip, you can launch at full boost at whatever revs u set it at. the two stage thing also lets u have a lower rev limit for launching and then once your speed reaches a certain value the rev limit is raised to the second setting. makes cool flames and pops but only usefull at drag strip as u aren't meant to use it with a catalytic converter.

The dark blue 32 gtr, if it had white work wheels, belongs to someone on here, his usernames Dynamix.
