just some food for thought here boys and girls. it would appear that several car forums members within australia feel the need to hang shit on our sport compact director. some of these people have agendas and some just plain dont like him, some think he does a shit job. have a think about the things you say about the sport compact director on or off forums, and before you press the add reply button in haste to carry on with more shit. do you honestly think some one else is going to be keen to fill the void if he goes, lots of people are talking but i bet everyone of them is no where to be seen when their asked to put their hat in the ring. the amount of shit that gets hung on the current one, if you had his job would you like that thrown at you by ill informed people. if the current sports compact director leaves his post, i highly doubt he will be replaced, one because i doubt no one has the balls to do the job or wants the same amount of shit flung at them, and two i doubt ANDRA would replace him as it would be a lot easier for them to say, " all these sport compact guys are whingers, let them play with the v8 boys or they can go drifting". so if you want sport compact to grow in this country, like him or not, you need to support him to help get this sport financially viable, ANDRA and the associated race tracks will not keep doing something they dont make money out of it. would you go to work not to be paid enough to be able to put food on the table, cause you bloody wouldn't. how about in future the knockers, who i might add are rarely people who actually race their cars at sport compact meets, get off your arse and race at these meetings so more sponsors come into the sport and get the bloody thing to grow. any one have a problem with that, feel free to pm me Shane

maybe thats what other people use it for me, i hook it upto to my new nozzle, its a 2000hp shot. im making these in conjunction with nilex, the people who make garden hoses. going to patent it.
-
well you will run a 300 shot of gas through it without consulting shane "allgas" crichton.
-
agreed theo is a big player in the sport, so is adrian, i havent seen anyone else in nsw put the hours in he has to promote the sport.
-
reading into to last 5 pages its pretty simple, for the 8 or 10 of us that regularly compete in S/rwd which i would put theo, mark, paul, adrian,me into you need to be approachable at all times as race meets and not be a rude ass whipe. even if you did just break something or are pissed at your self for a bad run. Theo, i had the utmost respect for you until sept jambo last year. i spoke to you back in sydney when you went 9.75 and you were a top bloke, then at last years jambo i was flattered when you were being interviewed and jokingly or not said you thought my cressida was a "big threat in the class". then on the sunday morning i had my car taken to the staging lanes to line up for morning practice and they decided to call us out 30 mins early, one of your pit crew nicely asked could you have the left lane, to which i said was fine. then she tells you its ok, and instead of a thumbs up or "thanks mate" you abuse me swearing your cake hole off that i was holding you up by putting my race suit on suit on when the cars were very slowly being moved up the lane (not all of us have 5 pit crew to do things for us mate). you had your guys push you around me whilst you were still going off your head. it was still another 10 mins before you or i got to the water so there was no rush. actions like that are why people get pissed off i suppose. if any of us carry on in public then you we have to be prepared to be spoken about on forums. unfortunately due to your large amount of sponsors compared to basically no sponsorhsip on any other car, you are in the ublic eye more than the rest of us and in turn need to take it on the chin. on a side note, congratulations for getting to 150 mph, thats moving. Shane

serious so round 1 he was knocked out round 1 or 2 ran mid tens round 2 no show round 3 blew up and not in the points bet the sponsors are happy. i cant wait for one of these gtrs to get in the 150mph and have the millenium supra get off the line. if carlos can get his thing off the line it will be a quick thing and certainly should kill the national record.
-
yea, the one with the dirty big castrol edge sticker up the side.
-
what happened? how did you all go, i spoke to adrian on sunday but was wondering how did buster go, how did old mate in the red skyline go, whats his name?
-
come on, you know you want some happy gas.
-
id prefer to have a car like adrians that you can drive on the street without the gas still get good mileage, be a breeze for any one to step into and drive down to get the milk and bread, and then be able to go to the track turn te bottle on and run 11's all night, turn the bottle off and drive it home. ive seen more 10 ans 11sec cars no running the bottle break more often then cars that run it. my engines a stocker with 189000k's on it and i run a 36 shot at the track and ive never had a problem. its all about the tuners ability to whether you have problems. like most car modifications 60% of people try to do it on the cheap and in the long run things break and it costs them more. my bottle lasts me for around 40 full noise passes so i have filled it 3 times in a year at $50 a fill. thats cartainly a lot cheaper than cams, plenum, TB, etc im all for the GAS

Brad personett went 6.40 et 220 mph in testing this week. any one who has seen this car run nows there is more left it in which is a very scary thought. door slammers must be starting to sweat.

who needs power steering to go in a sraight line hehe.
-
well cow girls. after a lack of banter on the topic i emailed jason ohallaren. the complete headlight is defined as complete ie full glass, bulb in full working order as it is from the factory. so for all point scoring rounds cars in S/RWD must have a complete functioning head light. screws up my plans for my cold air, but i will find a way. i have half cage in the cressida. sean is correct the main hoop must be weld in as set by ken dickie head of andra technical. rear stay can be bolt in, i had mine welded in side intrusion can be bolt it. i did this so the car is street legal. JP fabrications on the central coast did mine, i was happy with the job and the price. speak to buster i believe he is in the process of getting a cage also.

My Friend Mick Can Do Cart Wheels At Wsid

i read on V8 owners forum or it may have been dragster that it was a problem with the line locker on the car. what i dont understand is why you would need a line locker on a car with that much power, i doubt the brakes on the rear of that thing would hinder the burnout process. any who, i hope it gets rebuilt and run again as it woul dappear to be a good thing. 190 mph is impressive -
morning all. i spent some time on sunday making a cold air induction for the cressida, utilising a chaser head light so that i could have a cold air scoop but also have lighting on that side of the car. at the last SC meet i had major problems with intake temps of 72 degree cel, as my air filter sits in the only location i have room for it in my grandpa designed engine bay, so i am looking to get some cooler air into it. upon reading my sport compact rule book it says must run complete headlight. i asked around at the last round in sydney, and i got mixed interpretations of the rule. one frame of mind was as long as there was lighting on that side of the car it was ok. the other was, if you dont have the glass and bulbs in all areas of the headlight that it came from the factory its not a complete headlight. i know i spoke to paul about this and another guy in our class who had a bulb and also an air duct in the headlight, and i think if there is lighting it should be ok. has anyone got any ideas on this rule or have they spoken to ohalleron about it? any thoughts would be appreciated. Shane.

hi all my best mate has a r33 gtst with 80,000ks on it. it currently has a HKS front mount and full 3 inch exhaust which is jasma from memeory, has split dump and front pipe also. its only runnning 7 psi at present. basically he is looking to get 200 rwkw without going to an aftermarket ECU, is this possible. what are the usual steps of getting 200 rwkw? what are people's thoughts on fitting a VG30 turbo to this engine i isnt it much of an upgrade like it is on a rb20? any help is appreciated, as i am a toyota man and getting 200rwkw from my 1j back in the day was a front mount and a exhuast. seems to be more of a science with an rb25. thanks in advance Shane

yea, i know what you mean, once the simmons and factory interior go back in its nice to cruise in, but the auto doesnt like summer, so i doubt i will see much cruising at xmas time, though winter will be another story. -

i am sure that the blacking out boards were up for my first 2 rounds of racing. i actually thought it was very well organised, we had one person as point of contact for our class, i was really happy with the day and its organisation. as for the burnout water, if you want more toot your horn and point to the water and the guy will do it. you have to remember we have awd cars in our class that dont want to drive through water so the water guy is conscious of that. i have always found them obliging after a toot and point, they wave and give you some water. Adrian, it was an awesome run, i was dabbing the brakes for the last 80 metres or so just trying to keep my nose ahead, didnt think it would run faster int he afternoon as my intake temps were 60 deg and only 30 deg earlier in the day. that said, it was a great run and probably the closest i have had for a long time, its always enjoyable to race against some one i consider a true racer.
