  1. now we are mates, and im not having a shot at you, but i feel its a bit harsh to comment on your experiences when you know that the bolts on the adjustable cam gears were not tightened and the car was dropped of to them in this way and they tuned it not knowing that. i am sure the cam changing around all the time would have had a fair bit to do with the power and the idle etc. and, its about time i dropped by.   2. i understand a rb26 has 6 throttle bodies, but that want part of the original post which you were having a shot at me about champ. rx engineering are doing a gtr as we speak, so once i know the results from that we will soon now if its a tuning issue or a ecu issues with the 6 throttle bodies.
  3. that was the question asked, yes i read it. then i read 5 people flaming microtechs saying they are shit, those comments dont answer old mates question now do they? so your problem is what? where in the original post does it say anything about 6 throttle bodies or single throttle body. so really the answers for the last 2 pages should read "yes its possible" and there shouldnt be people people flaming microtechs.
  4. sorry effy, i dont agree with any of the comments made about microtechs. i have mates with them on rb 20's rb 25's and they are more than hapy with the fuel consumption and the driveability of them. my car drives just as nice with the mcirotech if not better than it did with the toyota ecu. the new generation of microtechs are good things and are a lot cheaper than other ecus. i think way to many people base there opinon on old microtechs and bad tuners. if i can cold start mine with 1000cc injectors at 8 deg for qld jambo first hit of the key thats proof in the pudding. people can rant all they want but i will not be taking my microtech out. infact i am about to sstart using the data logging feature of it as we have reached the limit of what my auto can hold on the dyno and track tuning is the only way we are going to be able to tune it. its a nice problem to have.
  5. i have a ltx12s on my 1jzgte, i have 1000cc injectors and i dont run a idle air control valve, my car idles at 11.2 11.3 AFRs cold or hot it goes one hit of the key. my fuel consumption is what you would expect with 1000cc injectors, i have driven a 10.01 sec VL turbo calais with a autronic on it, my car is far nicer at idle at load and at back off, the autronic pops and farts, my microtech doesnt every ecu is at good as its tuner. go microtech and get jon or justin at rx engineering to tune it. i think my results speak for themselves.   7. yeah, unfortunately thats what happened to my camera man. he dropped the camera when i was 45 degrees to the right wall. no one seemed to actually get many pics of the car all weekend. although i had lots of verbal praise which was good.

  12. i have brand new MTs in the shed, might have to sell them off and go to the federals, they been doing some development work on their tyres or am i missing something here. no bastard seems to sell them in the newcastle area. good work on the ET theo, i better go prod carlos to get his rear in to gear. would be good to see low nine sec pases toyota versus nissan.

  14. the blue celica is matt from magic performance. yes it was also on the cover of zoom, about 2 editions before mine was. he is running a 35/40 264 cams, xf throttle body ems ecu two rows of factory 1j injectors. he is making 490rwhp at 27 psi on avgas fuel. he hurt an engine last meeting out, but has put another stocker in. and he is playing with some head porting now. i would honestly say we are both on the knife edge of whats achieveable on factory internals.
  15. GTST i ran 13.7 et 106 mph with that exact combo. sorry i had a 3.5 nch exhaust but the rest was the same. thats cheap.
  16. since this i have gone to bosch coils and microtechs x6box ignition system. it now makes 440 rwhp no gas, and with a 36 shot 510rwhp. it has now run 10.70 et at 129.98 mph. its a cressida not a soarer. the thread was rb 25 vs 1jzgte, not gtr versus soarer. but ill take the pepsi challenge against this gtr you speak of. ill be at wsid on good friday racing in the street tyre shoot out with BUSTER and 2RISMO. will we see your mates GTR there? the good old, my mates got.i get it all the time. what do you have? and for the record, i couldnt give 2 shits if you believe i am making the power ross, my results speak for themselves.

  18. ross80, just so you know you have pissed me off. how about i get my dyno sheet for 500rwhp, put it in your pipe an watch you smoke it. 3460 pound car, 130 mph trap speed, do the math. not only do i have a dyno sheet, but also about 10 time slips for that mph to back it up, want to call me a liar again? MY 1JZGTE has done 184000k's on a factory internals, factory cams, factory intake manifold, with just big turbo injectors and ecu i am making 500rwhp through and auto and have done for 2 years, it doesnt blow smoke the catch can has never had a drop of oil in it and im running tens in a big heavy cressida. show me an rb 25 that has done that. toyotas are cheaper for parts, a complete engine only costs $500 rb 25s as far as i know cost like $1500. i havent seen a rb25 auto or manual make the power i am with simple bolt ons.
  21. fairy bread, well i just finished my pink donut and it was scrumsish. im not one to talk in this manner, but i know some one that knows some one who knows ray very well, and i believe he is happy to just run the jamboree as he did before. sydney is a freak, what works in QLD doesnt work in sydney, no one has been able to get the sydney event right from and overall prospective for the racing, the girlies, etc etc. i am also lead to believe that if the sport compact side of andra dies that ray will not be running the current classes and rules, it will go back to the ways of old. MR blonde, whats happening mate (cant remember your real name now), i should clarify my "its huge in the states" to from a tv and spnosorship and size of fields point of view its huge, from a how many sepctators do they get at an event, its stuff all probably less than our meetings. and i make this statements from first hand information.
  22. the only thing im scared of is getting eaten by sharks. i ran the last test and tune with all the v8 boys it was fun waving at them as i flew past. a lot of them are good guys, but it kind of wears thin trying to explain to a yobbo that a 3460 pound car can run tens on street tyres and be street driven. not to mention there rules have been set out for v8 based cars, the rule book doesnt understand our technology. i like racing similar cars with people of similar minds. sport compact is huge int he states and thats the way i want to see it over here. i would also suggest ray box wont be running a national series that he loses money from. i think people who think that will happen are living in a fairy land.

  24. i couldnt care what the SC director says or thinks about me, as long as he puts events on for me to go and compete against my mates and other people i dont care. Paul rang me yesterday cause he heard some one saying i pay for my car by man whoring myself and was wondering how much i charged, adrian got told im a drug dealer and buster got told i was a porn star and wanted to now how much my penis reduction cost me so he could get his done, theres lots of hear say going around and if people say it, i dont care, as i am sure the other guys theo included couldnt care, we do our talking on the track. mark, nice sixty foot, any pics i wasnt there to see it.
