  1. Can you confirm the dump pipe diamater size? looks like it is internaly gated and has just an oil line. Is there a water line?
  2. Before you make more of an ass of yourself I suggest you go to www.dsmtalk.com and use the search button to look at what turbo came stock on the mitsubishi eclipse second generation - from 1995-1999. Perhaps you would most likely recognise this shape of car as the green eclipse from the fast and the furious, except the car in that movie was a non turbo 420a 2.4 non turbo fwd. The turbo i pictured is a TD04/T25G that was made by Garrett and assembled at Illinois on the 4G63T engines that were made in japan before being shipped to the usa to be assembled in the cars. they were all left hand drive vehicles. some made there way back to Japan, others made it to europe and even Taiwan. When turbo naming conventions are discussed the turbine side is always the denominator - eg T3/T4 or TD05H-20G. There is no difference here - TD04/T25G. Where did i say that the TD05 AND TD06 was manufactured by mitsubishi with a garrett style housing? This was a turbo most notceably made by forced performance to cater for the aftermarket scene before they all decided to concentrate on going completely Garrett. If you actually read what I typed it said that the Garrett COMPRESSOR HOUSINGS were mated to the mitsubishi TURBINE HOUSINGS. IE on the 1st generation eclipse from 1989- 1994 the TD05-14B was modified to fit the garret cold side compressor wheel and compressor cover.
  3. Who said it was the same? you said that no TD turbo was manufactured by Garrett - Wrong. What?, TD05H-20G AND TD06-20G turbo's are very common on Skylines.
  4. I need a pic of the other side. That looks like a T04E .5AR compressor housing to me. Seems to have a 2.5" inlet. That's the exact same compressor cover i had on my "50 trim" T3/T4 on my previous 4G63T Eclipse motor. In the DSM side of things in the states in around 2003-2004 the big thing was to match T04E Compressor covers with TD05H turbine housings. You may have that type of turbo installed. Can you clarify "When I bought the car it said it was a TD-04" (what is "IT") is that a sale description?, or is that what you see on the turbine housing?
  5. Is that so? ... Is this not a mitsubishi flanged turbine that says Garrett on it? P.S. - that's a picture of your ugly mug in the background
  6. The mitsubishi eclipse turbo - 1995-1999 came out from factory with a T25G that utilises a mitsubishi turbine housing. A TD04.
  7. wtb - N1 Bumper vents in Brisbane Pickup. Either Fibreglass or genuine with no cracks.
  8. Make no mistake, they didn't go "out of business" at all. They have been in wooloongabba for around fifteen years. I've taken the two cars i've owned to them since 1995 without any problems whatsoever. They are a family business, and have run a successful business over the years. I went in on Friday last week and there were 6 cars there at the time. The signs are up with the business for sale because that is exactly what's happening, the old man is heading towards retirement, is well off and his business is completely owned - no finance, loans or rental overheads as they own the premises. If you want to talk about tuning, my last car ran 25psi on a 4G63T for 7 years straight before it finally had it's day. All of the work and dyno tuning was done in house at Charlie's Motors. The motor was completely stock, apart from a metal headgasket. Those results speak for itself =)
  9. As seen here...
  10. Hi Steve, Purchased some items from you before and have always been happy. I am now looking at buying a radiator for my RB25DET 180SX. Only problem is I purchased the car with a PWR 40mm radiator in it and I'm not sure what model it was meant for. I require the driver's side inlet and outlet style radiator 40mm thickness with a width of 27" (69cm) and height of 17" (43cm). Is there a difference in dimensions between your R32, R33 and R34 radiators if so could you please let me know which closest matches my requirements? Thanks.
  11. In on this... would like to hear what happened....
  12. In an attempt to try and find info on a problem I'm having I have found this thread. Albeit 2 years old i can not find the answer on this forum. Can anyone suggest where in Brisbane to purchase a 21/5 (dual element) wedge style bulb that is 10mm wide?
  13. cro boy could you share what was the fix for this problem? I am experiencing the exact same problem after going from the teardrop style front indicators to the type-x style on my 180sx. The bulbs i have in there are the flat style connection bulb 10mm wide. the narva site lists a 21/5 (dual element) bulb (as required in the 180sx manual) but narva only make it in a clear globe (I need amber). Does anyone know of a 21/5 amber 10mm style bulb and what company makes it?
  14. I second that it is if you're after a double confirmation =)
  15. Those pictures look like the same track found in this video in Thailand. R32 GTR 8.32 262KM/H http://videos.streetfire.net/search/thaila...877003928d7.htm Also found some more interesting videos from over there. 2JZ 180SX http://videos.streetfire.net/search/thaila...83c00d4c3b3.htm Various imports http://videos.streetfire.net/search/thaila...83c00d9a338.htm
  16. "He called 101 for me since he paid the money and I didnt have any luck but he got the same reply I did. Not about the $1,000 - but sending it back to them" So all this time you've been telling people that you were going to be charged $1000, but neglected to tell everyone that you were offered to send it back to 101 so that they would unlock it for free, then send it back to you?. Did you not type in this thread that you would have even been happy to pay $100 just to get it unlocked? How much do you think sending an ECU to Brisbane and back would cost? $100? not even that. "If they wanted to charge $100, fine, would have paid it". Last time I checked, interstate return deliveries would have cost $50 maximum. As far as i can see you ranted and raved and got a nation of people from performance forums and SAU mad about what happened to you, when you yourself misled the entire bunch of them. Now, once the damage has been done to there business you clearly state what really happened. There are 2 sides to every story and now that i've heard the 2nd side, and now the "clearing up" from the 1st side, I'm sorry but i 2nd this motion for you are a bitch.
  17. thanks for that info Cubes. Link to ebay fan?
  18. are your fans both on the same side? eg driver's side?
  19. I've got this exact problem on my rb25 180. Reading 91 water temp and 98 oil temp on defi gauges after coming off the highway and stuck in traffic. Otherwise it's at about 85 water temp and 89 oil temp regular 60km/h cruising. My order of things goes like this; Just Jap 100mm FMIC-> Greddy oil cooler with thermostat mounted behind the intercooler Twin 12" skew blade thermo's pushing onto the air con condenser -> Then approx 1.5cm back is the PWR 40mm aluminium radiator. On my setup there is 4cm clearance between the radiator and the belts. I also have the nismo thermostat, N1 Oil pump and the standard water pump. All parts are new, so there's no mechanical failure of parts in the equation (checked). I also have washers behind the back of the bonnet and a radiator cooling panel. This is the setup the previous owner had. The PWR radiator is a vertical item, and i'm wondering if changing to a crossflow design is going to make any difference. Previous owner had overheating problems with a Neo RB25. This time around, changing to the lower compression R33 RB25 didn't make all that much difference. Unfortunate thing about RB25/26 is that the space for the fan assembly is very limited. Only thing i can see that would work would be to ditch the air con condenser and mount the twin 12" thermo's directly to the radiator. Being in Queensland and with the hot weather approaching i'd like to avoid doing that. Is it possible to simply purchase a smaller air con condenser, or is there a side effect to doing this - eg air con won't become as cold or hot as quickly as it should?
  20. did you have to modify where the top radiator stays are? i take it this is a non genuine vl replacement radiator? care to share where you bought it from?
  21. Good to hear, What were your water and oil temps before and after? Where did you buy the radiator from and how thick is it? I'm not too familiar with the R32, but do all RB's use the radiator inlet and outlet on the driver's side?
  22. I bought these parkers from Monkey Warehouse brand new for my 180sx, but they can also be used in URAS style front bars on the R33 and R34. Also, a creme vinyl interior kit (glovebox cover, handbrake cover, gearlever cover, centre console lid cover) it's brand new for $75 pickup or $80 delivered. (meant for s13 but could be used on skyline also. If you want me to check dimensions, pm me with your sizes for these parts and i'll confirm for you.
