  1. i had a similar problem on my 33 gtst, turned out to be a split in a cooler line, have a look over all the intercooler hose joints for splits and cracks
  2. sounds like the crank angle sensor timing is retarded, may be for the run in as its only recently rebuilt
  3. i got 6 point full cage wit intrusion bars in my 33 by bond roll bars, full engineered and done 2.5 yrs of supersprints and other cams events, never been knocked back or questioned. Even cops approve of it when ive been pulled over in it, stating they think its a good idea to have. my 2c
  4. i got jun kit 75mm off the ground all round, completely farked to drive anywhere...
  5. 17lb at 234.5 rwkw on standard afm and rb20 n rb25 are different not same, was comparing both side to side today and rb 20 is green with Zecs branding with 5 pin and rb 25 is 3 pin
  6. with this grounding solenoid stuff, i just ripped it off completely n ran a line straight from cooler pipe to actuator, never had any dramas, that was 7lb all day everyday.

  8. if the lights on but gauge is still reading nominal pressure, give the sender a tap with something solid, should cause the sender to recalibrate itself. This happened to my engine after rebuild...i was like...fu€k... they've forgot to do something, gave the sender a few slight knocks and it came good and hasn't played up since, over 12 months ago now

Just another question loosely related to this topic, i have a Greddy ProFec B-Spec 2 boost controller and i am having trouble with boost spikes occurring, i have gain on minimum(5%) and the solenoild is set at 25% and i am getting a very accurate 10psi, but if i am at high revs and hit it (ie: 5500rpm) boost will spike up to approxiumately 13.5psi. Should this be expected or have i done something wrong? running hybrid turbo with standard computer probably has something to do with it..
  12. its not a code, like its so rapid you cant count it..like its physically a loose wire or something, or a power short...ill have a look at it closer though..see if i cant find anything else about it
  13. got an issue similar in a mates 32 GTR, it flashes rapidly and you can hear a weird clunking noise at idle randomly...weird..kinda looks like an electrical connection, coz the hicas light flashes really quick and randomly.. any ideas?
  14. i got a Profec B Spec 2 kooked up to a GCG hi flow turbo, just got the car back on the road and i cant pull more than roughly 11.5 psi without getting severe detonation. Car hasn't been tuned at all, could this be why? running 98 octane always in it. Anyone got any ideas? should be right for more boost but its just not happy...fuel pump on the way out? Thought might have been intake temps but it used to run 12 psi before fine on much hotter days... i got no idea...might just be being optimistic...
  15. theres no smoke or oil used, the turbo seals are blown out but driving off boost it doesnt smoke at all, power is still fantastic...i have a feeling the low readings were because my battery is ratshit...like i mean..if you start it and stall the car, be prepared to push it..that and my throttle body was closed... Looking at my spark plugs, theyre almost brand new still, no buildup of anything at all, engine overall seems to be running brilliantly. Must have been the way i did it... BTW, sorry nismoid...i searched but i didnt get a straight answer to what i was looking for so i posted a new thread...my bad...
  16. well, i dont know what to think right now, maybe i didnt do the comp test correctly...but its even across all cylinders to the lb, so i think its all good...the engine has been very well looked after, i just did it out of curiosity...try it again tomorrow, getting a rollcage fitted so maybe they'll point me in the right direction as what it is...

  18. I did a compression test on my car today, i got 125psi across all cylinders..is this ok? shit or good? i just cranked it over off the sarter motor... Any feedback will be appreciated! thanks
  19. i dont know, but i think it has alot to do with the stroke, i heard the F1 engines can rev to like 20,000 rpm coz their stroke is something like 10mm...does anyone know this to be true?
  20. On my internally stock RB25DET what is the maximum i can set my rev limit to? i think i saw a couple running 8100rpm? does this sound right?
  21. could be overboosting for a split second, i know mine does it when i do the same thing..maybe this spike is causing knocking??

  23. ok, thanks alot for your comments guys. i'll see what i can pull together...my car is getting a tune up on the 22nd so a compression test will be on the cards now too. Ill see what is in store for a new turbo. was thinking something along the lines of a bigger one with external gate. Anyway, let you all know how it goes! thanks again
  24. haha, i know i know...my bad..buying one tomorrow...ill pull it all out tomorrow, c what i can find. I found a fair bit of oil in my cooler piping and intercooler...also small drop coming out of BOV plumbing..also think i can hear the turbine rubbing on the housing...just gets better and better..
