  1. i installed a bleed valve and looped the two hoses going into the 5psi solenoid and all was merry when i booted it, and as soon as i got to 4500rpm the engine just went nuts and backfired, and hesitated shockingly before going back to normal, pulling like a train at roughly 5000rpm..any ideas? i guess the ecu doesnt like the boost solenoid not doing anything...was this hesitation in the engine the knock sensors retarding my timing?? it scared the hell outta me...happened a couple of times...thought it may have been overboosted by my bleed valve but in disconnectiong it, it made no difference...ill just ground the solenoid...should be safe that way..anyway..can someone explain what happened to make my engine go all crazy?
  2. RB26 forever...plus my favourite engine configuration is the inline 6...
  3. ok, this is my current target, my car is pretty much stock as a rock other than exhaust (turbo back w/ split dump etc..). Next few weeks i want to take my car to Advan performance to get front mount cooler and Power FC installed, now with these 3 things done what else do i need to do to get to the 210rwkw mark? Thanks! Chris.
  4. I live next door to a highway patrol dude, he says theyre "nothing special" and only reason we think theyre fast is "whenever you see us we're usually caning it" Good bloke, only he gets my car confused with another stooge who lives around my area n does all kinds of dumb shit...
  5. ^^^^^^^^^^ What he said Dunno, opinions are very biased though, just comes down to what you really like most. But consider the sheer number of legendary Japanese performance cars to that of holden and ford... thats a huge ass ratio... kudos on the 11 sec pass, thats fassst, struggle to get that in a GTS skyline with even more power.
  6. the reason youre car was stalling was because you didnt plug the hose running back to your airbox, this means that instead of sucking through the typical opening in the airbox it bypasses the airflow meter by sucking through this hose, this means the ngine thinks it is getting less air than it really is, to solve that plug the hole. If you have and its still doing this, means your BOV is a POS and is leaking heaps of air. If im leaving anything out guys lemme know. Installing a front mount and exhaust wont change how your car runs at all..
  7. yea but at least he wont die, with a GTR in your hands...who knows what the outcome would be...only certainty is it wouldn't be good.
  8. Awesome, ill give that a go. Also Gearbox oil coolers, I think this is a pretty uncommon thing but they do exist for the RB25 gearbox dont they? In my merc the tranny cooler is located under the radiator element, inside. Dont know if this is the same on the R33 but id be interested in whacking a extrnal cooler for it in. Any info on such a thing?
  9. Have u thought about getting a N/A R34 or something along those lines. I know there was a guy on DTMpower selling a black R34 GT with ROH Drift R 18" rims, exhaust n dropped...cleeeean car, and asking price was somewhere around $28000 mark. Sold now but it gives you a fair idea. Its easy enough to say "I wont speed" but when it comes to the crunch it just doesnt happen, i swore id behav but noo..i had to crash my pride n joy through a farmgate coz a bunch of mates were egging me on to go faster n faster... btw, John Howard has nothing to do with the new P Plate drivers laws etc..
  10. aww hell no...fu€k...whats the odds its just synchro's or something?
  11. Hi im new on here but i got a qustion you guys out there might be able to shed some light on. The other day i was at Oran park and first lap i went out i wasn't stressing the car too much but i came onto the straight in 2nd gear, shifted to 3rd and when i went to go to 4th roughly halfway down the straight, i had the clutch completely compressed, shifted to neutral and almost if i was flatshifting, the gearbox grinded violently and would not go into gear. This only would happen if the car was at running temperature and roughly above 5000rpm in 3rd when shifting. This continued to happen whenever i tried to shift throughout the day unless i shifted to neutral, released clutch and then compressed clutch pedal again, then went to 4th gear... Does this sound like synchro's in 4th gear have gone? seems unusual to me...NEED HELP! THANKS! Chris.
  12. lol, oh yea im running a gerbil uder my hood...looks like a skyline but its just an elaborate bodykit...j/k. naa duno ill change it if i can work out how. Heres the cars Skyline And my other car... Benzo
  13. Hi every1, ive been reading the forum here for a while but now i finally registered. My name is Chris, im 18 n i own a R33 GTSt, pretty stock with only a couple of things done such as HKS exhaust, HKS coils and RSR shocks. Anyway thought id say hey. what kinda motivated me was the other day i was at an Oran Park Supersprint and i noticed a Maroon R33 GTSt there spitting out 6ft flames out the exhaust. had a SAU sticker on the side window...if you know who you are, it looked sweet!
