  2. thought normally when checking timing, timing light sensor is usually clipped to the first cylinder, the one closest to the cam gears...probably makes no difference but yea, maybe?
  3. just curious guys but which o rings r the ones were talking about? the larger one at the top or the smaller one at the bottom of the injector? Not trying to hijack this thread but the bottom O rings on the side feed injectors have that plastic thing that clips onto the nozzle of the injector which also holds the bottom o ring in place. My question is, can u buy replacement plastic clip things for them and what happens in the situation that you dont put them on? Kinda vague, just finished work... Thanks Chris

THis was the first time id been to Eastern Creek to c the drifting, been to Oran a few times and i saw a much larger crowd at Oran than i did at the Creek, don't know what thats about but it will b interesting to c, ill def be going to the Oran Park Drift in 3 months, maybe organise something, maybe a GTG for the event?

  7. Some1 told me it was a Nascar V8, looked and sounded insane! Cat's car went kaput, engine failure around 1pm in practice. Was mad day, no wind though friend was talking to Luke Fink said coming onto the straight in the late arvo he couldnt see anything from the combination of the sun off the horison and the smoke...would be pretty scary. Few 150km/h entries into turn 1 too. Who's R34 GTR was that there? looked fkn sweet.

  10. i c well im guessing thats why heh...theres nothing really hooked up at all...but say i wanted to complete the circuit to turn it on, what parts of the engine do i have to reconnect?

Hi all, my engine carked it a few months back, cars been sitting in the garage waiting for new engine, anyway i took the opportunity to respray the engine bay, hide wiring looms and put nice stainless hex screws in....but yesterday as i was reconnecting some of the stuff i pulled off n hacked up i went to check i got the wiring all right for the headlights so i turned the car onto "ON" and turned the headlights on all worked, pleased i was...but the hand controller didnt do anything?? is this normal if u got no engine? i figured it would probably still display something... Anyone had experience with this? Thanks Chris.
  12. jolting sounds like cavitation from your turbo, is this only below say 4000rpm at wide open throttle? and 1.03 bar is boost limiter, on hi boost setting on your profec 2 what percentage is this set at?? u running stock turbo? coz if so thats too high. did they change the tune after u installed the walbro? do u have a adjustable fuel pressure regulator?

  16. k i got a gt3582R, 620cc injectors and all the other goodies to make the power im looking for reliably (300+kw) but my walbro 255L/H in tank pump is obviously not going to b up to the task. Ive put it in a position in the tank though which is so good i dont want to remove it for a larger replacement. So my first question is, what power will this pump run out of huff? 260kw? And who sells decent surge tanks, does anyone sell the custom fabricated surge tanks on here? Thanks Chris.

  19. i think thats airbags too mite be wrong. Call Webbs Autosport in Dapto, suppliers of Probag. They'll sort u out and its legal with an engineers cert, brian there has done a few mates cars.
  20. Just been looking at a new clutch from these guys in S.A, was wondering what experiences anyone has had with their clutch kits. The one i'm looking at includes a Chrome Moly 5.5kg flywheel, Carbonic 6 puck clutch plate with a 1500kg clamping pressure plate with new bearings as a total package. Aparrently they have been tried, tested with great results. So has anyone used this setup before? Thanks, Chris

  22. hey every1 a quick question, what would side feed 620cc injectors max out at on a RB30DET power wise? just curious to know if all other components were up to the task what it would pull roughly before maxing out. Thanks, Chris
  23. Chris eastons R31 drift car is stocker atmo RB30 bottom end, rb25 head standard exh man with XR6 GT35 on it, tuned to 270rwkw, canes the shhhhhit outta it...no worries, over 18 months like that now i think
  24. ^^^^Thats probably why it was on special... Mates WRX HVDFLU pulls consistent 450kw on a hybrid cooler...n i dont think thats in the lower bracket of the power bands... personally got a just jap cooler on mine, works fine no problems, never had a cooler hose blow off...so i dunno, only reason id go for a Jap cooler was for names sake ie: HKS sounds better than Just Jap cooler ya kno?
