  1. Hi guys, It was taken from outside outback steakhouse at parklea last night (Saturday) between 8 and 9:30. If anybody has any information as to it's whereabouts please let me know. The car is a purple 1989 R32 GTR, pictures attached. The gold stripe up the side has been replaced by a black one.
  2. Do both V-spec and non V-spec 33s have an aluminum front end / boot lid?
  3. I now want my car back specifically to do that I won't have a chance in the AWD class until I've had some practice! But the best thing about this one is it has one of Duncans attessa controllers, so I can make it very rear biased and hopefully be able to handle it! Either way, i'm looking forward to it!
  4. I'll be in for the time attack, I've just sold my R33 GTS-T but kept a few of the good bits out of it (cage etc), and I should be picking up an R33 GTR Vspec in the next few days or so, I'll just have to work out how to drive it. But assuming price is affordable, I wouldn't miss it for the world.
  5. Still for sale, make me an offer! Any / all inspections welcome. Car will be sold minus roll cage and foglights!
  6. I'm keen for the Saturday as well, but I won't be a 100% until closer to the day (very busy time of year)!
  7. Does anybody have a Series 1 R33 stock front bar that they are willing to sell? It has to be S1 Silver. If so, how much? Located in Sydney.
  8. I got a 14 day ordinary pass from Flight Centre for about $490 from memory, it was about 2 months ago.
  9. SAU Nickname: JDSracing Car Make and Model: 95 R33 GTST Circuit Name: Wakefield Lap time: 1:12.4 Modifications Engine: Front Mount / Exhaust / 9 psi Power: approx 160kw Suspension: Tanabe Circuit Coilovers, Tein Tie Rods, Natetune Castor Rods Tyres: dead RT215s (on the belts now) Brakes: standard discs / calipers with RBF600, Ferodo DS2500s, braided lines Body weight: unknown Still a bit off the pace, but getting there slowly. Give me another 12 months and a bit more experience and I'll hopefully catch up to the top 10 (assuming the tail end doesn't get too much faster!)
  10. I *think* the TE37s I have are only 6.9kgs per rim!
  11. Huh? Exactly what I was getting at! I think you'll find that a $10 shim from Nissan and a days labor will fix your problem. I have the same problem and am going to shim mine when I get around to it.
  12. Not sure mate, they were on the car when I got it and pulled off shortly after. They don't seem to be very old, no obvious signs of wear, and are still as stiff as anything.
  13. 17" Work Equip's added, updated first post.
  14. Hey Chris, that's not a problem - sending you a PM now.
  15. Yeah I haven't been there for a fair while now! I'm going to be down at Wakefield on the 1st which is the same weekend as Bathurst isn't it? If not, I would come. Add to that list, as of Saturday I have new rims on the car, 17" TE37s with semis, which seem to be lighter again. I think the heavy arse steel belted tyres I had on the back were slowing me down a fair bit (can't complain though - the tyres lasted over a year). Traction has gone to hell though, even with the semis there is no such thing as being able to launch it for gaps in traffic anymore, and it has made it more over steery, which isn't really a bad thing). All in all I still find the car very drivable and surprisingly still quiet when I'm just cruising along, my only complaint from removing as much as I have is that it gets very hot inside the car.
  16. Bang for buck I think the 33 will be a better option for you, because as mentioned it already has the rb25, bigger brakes and better gearbox etc. Think about having a look at a 95 model R33, it has the same engine as the series 2, but I'm sure I've read somewhere that the series 1 is 20 kilos lighter than the series 2 to begin with. (Not sure where though, I think it was a random specs page) - if anyone knows this is wrong for sure feel free to correct me. Price wise a decent R32 or R33 GTST seem to cost you about the same these days, and I don't think an R32 would be significantly cheaper to mod, in fact it would probably end up being more expensive to get it to the same level if you start tossing up things like rb25 transplants.. If you strip all the unnecessary stuff out of the R33 you can still get it quite light and very balanced. There is a thread here on lightening R33s! The principle is easy enough though, pull everything out that isn't needed to run the car! Slightly off topic again, Evil, I was under the impression that you could get a 6 point from them for less than a $1000, not sure if it's CAMs legal though. A mate of mine and Adam's just got a 6 point put in his S14, I think it was through them, I will ask and get back to you - Adam would probably know off the top of his head though.
  17. By the look of it, that is exactly what I'm looking for, and well priced as well! I'm still trying to hunt down someone who's done this or is in the know about whether the 33 radiator support can be used, anybody? I'm assuming a 34 front bar reo will have to be used as well, so I'm hoping that it fits up to the 33 chassis. If not, there is nothing like using a angle grinder on your 33 reo to make it fit.
  18. I've tried searching, but I haven't found anything. Basically, in my recent trip to Japan, I bought a magazine which has pictures of a R33 GTST with an R34 GTT front end on it, and it looks awesome. What I want to know is, has anyone on here done it? If so, how hard / pricey is it? Do you need to change the chassis / radiator support at the front, or is all bolt up like so many other Nissan things? If it's all bolt up then I am able to do all but the spraying myself. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  19. Yeah I was up there last night! The red lancer in front of me? That one is supercharged and smokes my car in a straight line. Or the chameleon painted, overly stickered up, blue underbody neon bearing lancer sitting on ugly chrome rims? <- I think you meant this one. Hahaha The best thing about that car was the sticker on the back. You left a few minutes to early, that drunk dick head that was trying to start everybody in the carpark (including families) got the living hell beaten out of him by a couple of Maori plumbers.
  20. Bump, Going overseas for a awhile as of this Friday!
  21. The car isn't engineered, but that's only because I haven't wanted to spend the money on it. Yes this cage can be engineered easily, it doesn't interfere with anything.
  22. Bump, car would make an awesome cheap drift or track car!
  23. I remember you telling people you were a motor mechanic by trade on jdmstyletuning.com. If that was true or if you were any good at it you would also know that these engine are well and truly built to be able to handle being given a bit (if he actually was, which I honestly doubt would have been much anyway) unless there was already an existing problem?
