R31 POWER

Interesting coz it is a tough call wich to get.I had some stuff typed but it's all to hard LOL

As Bluprint said it all bolts in easy,R32 motor and 5speed went straight into my Oz R31 with no welding grinding,it was just like putting a Rb30e in but the RB20det looks more sexy :headspin: Dori I gather your R31 is oz and if it is the R32 gearbox will bolt up,I'm not sure about imports thou Plus the Rb20det sounds so much better than the SR20 :aroused:

myline go to the Spoiler Shop just off leach hwy.They have a kit thats for a S1 or S2 but the side skirts and rear bumper add on will fit a S3.I made my front lip so if I get this kit it wont look stupid with noyhing at the front.

I thing you quoted the wrong bit K. R32 box is exacly the same on the out side to the R31 one.Some later models have extra ribbing but wont foul on the trans tunnel. R33 box is of course bigger and may need trans tunnel beating depending on how good you are installing it.Use the standard R31 manual gearbox x-member and weld on some flat bar coz it will sit futher back on the RB25 det box. Since R32's have cable speedos undo the R32 speed sender and screw in a manual R31 speed sender easy.

There's a dude over here with a RB30et in his Aussie GTS2 and that has 374rwhp with the N/A 5 speed,brass button clutch and still going strong. The torque this thing has is way to much as he can cruz at 100kph in 5th then give it some and off he goes sideways in 5th,sounds hard to beleive but it does it. Bit of a waste post coz that box is a freak.

It's a R31 with a R32 RB20det in it I think.

What GTSTVSPEC do when he got the Wold 3D put in.

Thanks Steve I'll look into a Oxy sensor and the throttle thing and put those idle adjustments in I've done the idle from there before but did'nt know what it was called LOL.

Thanks Steve and guys for taking time to anwser Steve when you say "Have you checked what your fuel cut recovery rpm is set at?" do you mean that injector table.The throttle does'nt stick coz I was checking it out while we did the piping. Can the O2 sensor affect idle,I thought it was for closed loop it came into play?Mines done 90,000km's so it's maybe time to buy. I could'nt put my air-con on during the learning process coz it's not hooked upto the R32 loom yet but at times it hunts but is getting better.Can the learning process still be done if the PFC has a map in it or do I have to start agian?

When I back off the throttle it does'nt de-accelerate straight away,You know when you back off the zorst goes booooooor well mine goes boooor vrom booooooooor like someones pressed the go pedal.Could the TPS be doing that?

Thanks guys will give me something to tomorrow. Steve it has mesh on both sides but the one closest to the turbo is frayed abit also it is a little lean at idle to so I will richen it up.Thanks JasonO the tps is at 0.43 at idle is that ok or should I put it to 0.45 :headspin:

I've read some people have probs with the PFC causing hunting at idle and mine is doing it.My AAC valve worked fine before all of the mods but now it sometimes hunts and stalls if i give it a rev or slowing down,Same if you have a atmo venting BOV. Also if a back off sometimes it's like someones blipping the throttle WTF is with that?

Yer I did,it's a HKS GT2535.

So any GTR injectors will fit straight into the inlet manifold and use the RB20det fuel rail and then proceed to plug into the RB20det injector plugs?I really want to be sure coz i don't want to rip off all the crap to get to them and find out I have the wrong model GTR injectors.

What GTR injectors did you put in R32,R33 or R34 GTR ones? and cams from what GTR.Thanks

I have one that is exacly the same but not from him and it revs more freely and sounds more meaty.I have'nt got it dynoed tuned yet so I'll keep u posted.Plus I have a larger turbo and bigger cooler and piping so it could be better coz of all that?
