  1. thanks for that info. from what ive read so far both the OS and ppg sets use the same gear ratios as each other so either one i choose is gona ve like that

  6. hi all, i have for sale a nismo twin plate clutch that came out of my r33 gtr yesterday. Im unsure of what model it is but if sum1 is able to tell from the pics that would be great. clutch is a pull type. Everything seems to be alrite but it will require a rebuild. im unsure of what other model cars this clutch will fit into. item is located in wollongong NSW, Would prefer pick up but will post at buyers expense (clutch is heavy) im after $300 if you have any questions feel free to pm me
  7. seriously who gets defected for rims these days? the last time ive ever heard of sum1 being defected for rims was probly 4-5 years ago. police are more concered bout engine mods and epa guidlines than the size of your wheels.

  12. hi all, im about to get into the process of looking for a new gearbox for my r33 gtr. Ive done a search but i havnt realy found the information that im after. the situation is a daily driven r33 gtr with bout 400+ kw @ all fours. will get a couple of trips to the drags maybe 3 times a year but it is still driven to and from work everyday. The boxes that i have been looking at are the OS Giken 1-5 with the strenghtened input shaft, Have seen the retail for about $4000 delivered from japan or $4300 sum places in australia. these are meant to be rated to 800hp The other box that i have recently been looking at is the PPG Helical Synchromesh gearset. Says its made fro street driven high horsepower cars. Ive seen these advertised for $4800 + gst from high octane racing but im not sure if thats a good price tho. Here is a link to the ppg box from there website http://www.ppgearbox.com.au/page.asp?paren...mp;productid=61 ok i know that if i go with the OS box im gona have to buy sum upgraded box parts from the series 3 gtrs, But im not sure if i will have to do the same with the ppg box. can anyone confirm this? Also with the ppg box, should i also get the billet mainshaft with it? what i want to know is from the people who have actually used these products is: Price of extra required parts Labour costs to pull the box out and put all new parts back in where you had it done. (im looking around the sydney area) and finally which box should i go for? Thanx in advance

  14. hey everyone, just want to know if the sard 1000cc injectors for gtrs are a straight drop in? will be getting a new fuel rail later when im ready to do the rest of the fuel system but i wana pu the injectors in now thanx in advance
  15. if the motor is out then y not do it anyway??? what if in 6 months he suddenly decideds he wants to take it racing abit. may aswell do it now n save on labour in the future.

  17. but if you buy n s14 1 all u have to do is get a bit of alluminium pipe bent to suit the new radiator port instead of using silicon hose n atleast that way you no the radiator is gona fit

  20. get a koyo radiator, got 1 for my r33 gtr and couldnt be happier. 53mm thick, fits just like oem and retains all factory parts like radiator shroud was only $700 which is damn good compared to other jap ones
  21. he might build alot but they arnt very good, bought n engine off sum1 who had it built by this mob. was a brand spanking new engine, hadnt been started. croydon were horrified at what they saw wen they took the sump off to put my new extended sump on. Long story short, the whole engine needed to re done
  22. i agree with what you have said above, everyone has there own opinions on what lag is. my opinion is based on going from a standard turbo to a hi flow and then to the gt35. i was of the opinion that it would be laggy before i bought the set up but was advised to for a drive in 1 with a gt35 set up and i was very happy with how it went so decided yeh ill do this for mine aswell. couldnt of been happier with how it turned out. for the OP, just abit of info with my set up, we pulled 290kw atw on a standard engine with 550cc injectors, walbro fuel pump, PFC and just the usual stuff like exhaust and intercooler. the engine was still in perfect shape aswell.
  23. its different ill give u that but wont it smudge or eventually rub off/ fade? thort it was gona be airbrushed on
  24. if you have a gt35 wouldnt it be high mounted aswell? so if you put this other new turbo on you will also need to go back to low mount set up. which means buying manifolds and other bits. in my opinion u should just buy the smaller ex.housing. i had a gt35 on my 33 gtst with the 0.82 and honestly its not as bad as people make them out to be
