I am in the same situation as you. I decided though to get a NA R33, and absoulutely love it. It's upto you, but you run a big risk.. What about the rego papers, the GTS-T awfully stands out. You're not going to drive like an idiot, but you want a turbo? Why not just get a NA 32/33 and make it a nice cruise car? It's your call. But if you really wanted a turbo, you could either sell your R32 NA to a fellow aspiring P plater when you've done with it, and put that towards a turbo'd car?

First off, sorry to hear. -- But isn't this thread a bit old? Went missing in April, and the last post was in May. It's now almost the end of December.

I'm pretty much in your boat. I'm going for mine on the 28th of Feb (my birthday). I already own my manual R33 N/A. And I'm not taking this for my test. Also I plan on getting a couple of lessons in January/Early Feb around my area to give me that little extra boost of confidence. Best of luck with your test. Have fun.

That's what I thought. When i got my immobilizer installed, the guy asked me what insurance company i was with, and he said filled out the warranty details and stuff. (I'm with JustCar).

Spotted a White R33 with a GTR Wing head down a road in West Pennant Hills around 10-ish tonight. Had a blue neon or light on the rear numberplate?

I'd like to know this answer aswell. They are sold at markets and so-on stating for Under-Car use. I know Neon's inside the car turned on whilst driving are illegal...

Spotted "SATAN" Series II R33 alot in Port Macquarie (obviously where he lives). Looks nice.. taking it easy over those speed hump things I saw. Also saw 2 other White R33's (Series 2) And 1 black R33 Series 1.

Oh my son of rajab. I can't believe some gutless jealous person has said this about your R33. By the sounds of the letter, I don't think this could be the new neighbours, considering they refer to the 2-3am business.. Do you have any enemies? Someone that doesn't like you? I think this letter is just trying to scare you, as they are not willing to show who they are, or let alone refer the letter to you personally. My guess is that it's just some old person who has nothing better to do but be envious of your car. There is one like this down the road from me. Your best bet is to honestly do what has been mentioned, basically take the letter to residents who you might think would have something against you, and ask them if they have a problem, and work something out. Honestly though, who does this? Someone with plenty of time on their hands and is annoyed of a noise they might hear 5 times a week? For around 10 seconds.. I smell old person. Either that or someone with a V6 Commodore or Falcon who thinks their the crap and hates your car cause it's better and out-performs their common everyday family mover. Best of luck mate, and it's really sad to see stuff like that... A SAU Cruise won't do much good in my opinion, considering it will only cause crap with other residents, and if someone does mention something to fellow residents, they would go "ahh yeah I remember when 20 of his mates came over with their loud exhausts and doof doof music and pissed us off"..

Not good when you see things like that happen to your car. I guess you can just be happy that they didn't get to take it And you still have her, luckily. Better then finding it burnt out in the bush.

Saw a black R32 on the F3 today Waves and laughs. (Daddy was testing out the R33). Saw a white R33 Series 2 at some traffic lights, took off like hell. Spotted a Marone R33 out of the corner of my eye but didn't get a chance to wave. Also a little Toyota Starlet with a turbo outside of mass_iv's house in West Ryde.
