  1. My offer still stands, sorry I cant improve on it though.
  2. I've seen similar symptoms before (admittedly on an older car) started off with intermittent cold start problems with warmer weather, for me it was the ignition pulse module in the dizzy... when they start getting really bad they just cut out when they reach operating temp on hotter days..generally if you let it cool down for say 20 mins it'll run fine again but 10 min driving later when the heat gets back into it same thing. I had this happen to me heading to Albury on a nasty 35+ day. Not fun at all. Maybe 3lit3 forc3 would know if a faulty ignitor box would have the same effect on a r33 s1 skyline or if there's a way to bench test the ignitor?
  3. As long as you can keep both hands on the wheel in the correct position when not shifting (obviously) and turn the wheel using both hands as required by law I dont think they can touch you, if you cant do these things and are not classified as a disabled driver with modified controls then no......you're not legal to drive.
  4. danke Drift.. They're very nice rims...google time
  5. Yeah any idea what make the wheels are?....I also like em.
  6. Said it in the spotted thread apart from the bonnet, doors and tail lights I'd bone it...I mean own it. Did the doors have to be engineered and approved? I cant see a problem with the rest of the car, it's just a body kit after all as long as it's got 100mm clearance underneath and the track width isnt altered np's...whatever mechanical mods it has is a different issue. Why peeps are screaming defect over a few icecream buckets glued on a car i dunno. One thing for sure though if he's on p-plates, intending to drive an illegal car and already paid for it I gotta say wtf??? he deserves a slap and I'd be happy to oblige.
  7. I strongly recommend you go the 7800gtx and a 4ms lcd, I have both anything less is a fairly big comprimise for gaming.........you wont regret it, the rest looks ok for a non p4 rig
  8. Check the front bushes, also check wheel balance and alignment if you dunno how then take it to a suspension specialist for a "free check" Your wandering problem could be a simple case of "bump steer" the wider the tyre the more noticable it'll become, warn bushes will exagerate the problem.
  9. lolz... For the last 20yrs i've always driven with the windows down, even in winter I have to have it cracked atleast 2"...I was actually thinking of getting one of these for my 33 after finding out how much water flows in with the windows even slighty cracked in a light shower..especially when you pull up (bath anyone?) Anyway to the point, before you guys removed your's did you notice if they actually work at all? being so small I wasnt sure if they'd have any effect. Cheers Bung.
  10. Sad to say it but thats still slower than a stock off the showroom floor 265 powered auto 1973 valiant sedan. Good to see you getting some improvement though..keep it up
  11. gotta love the white rims..gives a car a semi serious works look imo My r33's black with white feet (enkie's)..so's my dog Sometimes I get em confused, pats the car and tries to ride the dog Less bling ftw!!!
  12. Direct injection..Mmm..Mmmmm, Should be more than just interesting if you can get the tuning right. I've seen bb n/a cars with this setup ...very nice indeed
  13. mmm not a great job...it's missing a few dozen simpsonesque speed holes for a job welldone imho. I'd still swap it for my r33...shit i'd probably throw in 2 utes and a daewoo ontop of the r33. If any of you guys have ever given an m3 a good workout you'd know why..
  14. I'll take one to suit r33 series 1 will they be sent out immediately or when you get the 10 orders. Cheers Bung
  15. Lotsa hot soapy water first...not boiling water that'll make the clear coat go milky, pour a few buckets full slowly over the stickers then peel off when they're still hot..They'll peel off really easily. It just warms and softens the glue basically. Dont forget...not boliing but pretty hot. If your car is white boiling water wouldnt matter because the clear coat going milky wont show.
  16. Damn, thats gotta hurt...any idea how many klms on the belt before it let go?
  17. Sounds like a good setup..ever thought of having a pit in one of your bays? cool to work in 4 the summer mths, no hoist posts in the way, also a great storage area when not in use.
  18. Could be the thrust bearing, if it goes away as you said when you touch the clutch that'd be my first choice.
  19. If your 16 and from Melb as your member details say, I'd suggest contacting vic roads and asking what vehicle you can legally drive when you eventually get your licence. GTS-T skylines are not legal for you. Also whatever car you do decide on will be a fair whack cheaper if you wait till you get closer to the licencing age.Why spend 13-14k now only to have the car sit around.... by the time you can drive fulltime the car will be worth under 10k. If you want some advice, save your money and when the time is right buy something you can drive legally. Pfffft you might be thinking...well think of this your 18, your driving an illegal car, you have an accident...might not even be 100% your fault but someone unfortunately dies = you in jail and no licence for a longtime. /edit after re-reading your topic and post I'm kicking myself for wasting the time it took to respond.
  20. Sorry about your dog mate, I've been on the other end of this situation, but the dog didn't get killed. Long story short after stopping and seeing the dog sore but ok, the dogs owner noticed the damage to my car then started to deny all responsibility..We ended up in court and I walked away with a judgement for the repair costs, court costs and loss of earnings for the court date. It ended up costing the guy a fair chunk of cash all because he left his gate open and let his dog roam. When I hit the dog I didn't have much time to react but if I'd swerved to avoid the dog chances are I'd have hit either the car parked on the left or the kids playing on the r/h/s footpath. I'll always remember the family that lived across the road from me when I was a kid, on holidays they swerved a roo and got driven over by a semi..4 dead, one daughter survived, friggin tragic. There used to be something in the learners book with reference to not swerving to avoid animals as it's dangerous and most of the time the animal gets clear anyway. Not saying this is anything even remotely like what happened to your poor pup and I do feel for your loss..reading this just brought back some memories.
