  1. no ex-gf's dad's monaro.
  2. Maxx: Gave up after three runs. could't get of the mark and tale out at 3/4 track was a bit of a worry. Constantly ran 114-115mph which hopefully should gain a respectable time when I have sorted the suspension. Nightcrawler: Congrats, Kickin myself for leaving early now. Was good to see your launches coming together toward the end of the night.
  3. GReddy and CUSCO aren't connected with both lines to the rocker cover. They sit in between the feed to the intake. Vacuum on one side and crankcase pressure on the other.
  4. Adelaide International Raceway off Pt Wakefield Rd in Virginia. Every four weeks Wednesday nights.
  5. Had a look at the 1/4 mile time sheet, buster has done an 11 with 324rwkw.........maybe not be in my league at the mo. =(
  6. yes, hip. I had to disconnect the seat.
  7. The recall fault on the Monaro's was actually due to a faulty sensor which controlled the forward and backward motor, caused the seat to go up- back up-back up-back untill you diconnected the battery. Wouldn't like it to happen while driving. Would look pretty funny from a pedestrian point of view tho...
  8. I'll hopefully be there Nightcrawler, What time will you be there? I have a couple of issue to sort beforehand. Big question is, can my new Nitto's get me into the 11's.
  9. yes that will work, I have the same setup. Be prepared to clean the filter monthly.
  10. I have a greddy/trust RSPL kit. hasn't provided any restriction yet. and no noticable pressure drop. Intake temp remains max 5 degrees above ambient. Took about 2 hours to install and the power difference was immediately noticable. The 440rwkw GTST from JMS Runs a 4inch thick trust cooler. Apex ones look funky...haven't had much experience with them.
  11. I have both din slots taken up with audio gear, so made a mount up for the glove box with perspex. Houses my boost controller and intercooler intake temp aswell. The turbo timer had fallen through at the time of the photo but you can see the slot. Works out well being able to lock.
  12. I'll go to JMS tonight and have a look =)
  13. All that comes from the rocker cover is vapour!!! No liquid. I don't understand. most cans work from the vapour hitting a metal tongue which the vapour sticks to and drops the the bottom. Are your sure your is just an empty can?
  14. The ealier cruise is a private one with some of the boys from Turismo's. There will be no cops as meeting point will be sent at the last minute(not the usual) and will be resonably small. Not planning on staying in the city anyway.
  15. so your car has been fixed but you haven't paid them yet......?
  16. hey hip who was the insurance threw?? I Maybe able to help. Someone who looks alot like me but much older is the SA manager for an Insurance company. If it is not the same one I'm sure he will be personal friends with yours.PM me. I went to JV with my line and had it resprayed three times before I was happy.
  17. Also a cruise that starts at 7pm, which will be finished by 9, 930ish. Pm me if interested. Double cruise.... YIP YAR
  18. There shouldn't be any vapours if the can works efficiently.
  19. If your catch can has no venting hole: one hose goes to the rocker cover and the other to the sump. This way needs the PVC valve left open. My catch can has a filter and clogs up very quickly which causes it to blow off and splatter oil all over the place. A Oil Air seperator is the better option(like you have) IMO.
  20. -Joel- yes i have a HKS EVC 3. has a auto setup function which maps the boost curve at stock boost. No sure but some have fuzzy logic 2. This obviously doesn't help my problem because it only happens at high boost. I think if i install a bleed valve and adjust to 15psi and then let my EBC learn the high boost curve it might help if it is a boost control problem. Emre. I still have the stock exhuast manifold. It has been ported, but I don't think it would flow much more.
  21. what size outlet does your high flow have??? and when does it make 15psi? Exhaust A/R ??
  22. stuff a rag in the out let.
  23. Joel. the stud bumps were on the head, which don't help flow at all. The purposeful ones are on the manifold just near were the turbo bolts up. sorry i was as clear as mud wasn't i....
  24. JimX: Bed spring sounds like a good test =) Emre: My exhaust housing has a .81 A/R and 52mm outlet which is in no way restrictive. I have the standad actuator btw.
  25. Can anyone tell me why the standard turbo looses boost when pushing 15psi at high rpm??? My Hybrid turbo is doing the same thing to a greater extent. I'm thinking the waste gate actuator tension is not enough to hold the waste gate closed...... anyone had first hand experience with a HKS actuator or the like?
