Haven't installed the turbo yet, my head is beening ported and I'm still waiting for my OS pistons. Will keep you posted and load the pix when the site is working properly.
Not sure what mean-The turbine is attached to the shaft....... it's not ment to come off. The turbo shop that did my balancing had a jig to hold the turbine while the compressor was unscrewed.
All that info lost!!!!
Anyway for those who we visiting this threat....latest mods
exhaust 53.5mm
Comp has a groove machined in for surge reduction.
Also HKS wastegate has arrived
Has mad e before these mods 266rwkw Aim 280rwkw
Photos of latest mods to come
hmmmn ok so I can't load up any files...the server is giving me errors the length of my arm
hey craig, pm me ur number, I don't always get onto the net b4 we go out, you have missed 4 cruises with SIR033, 600PS, GReddy WRX......was sooo much fun.
If you can get a hold of the compressor map you will be able to tell the earliest time boost can make 15psi while being inside the surge zone. The smallest A/R available will usually be right on the line. Cam gears will only slightly help lag 100-200rpm.
can't possibly take longer to spool unless the ebc is faulty...if 13psi feels slower it will either be incorrect mixtures/ intercooler restriction or increased turbo outlet temp.
Should make 10psi at 3500rpm whatever boost is increased to. It is obviously going to take longer to reach 13psi......
boost controller may be connected with the standard bleed which would maybe explain it.
Nugget: if it is only every now and again, it will just be your A/F meter. People have fixed them by getting new plugs and/or replacing or resoldering the Pins in the A/F meter. I a common problem in GTR's when the Meter has been knocking on the Chassis.
This might be worth a look. http://www.skylinesaustralia.com/forums/sh...ighlight=%24350
has made between 250-270rwkw on three different dyno's. Has room for alot more how ever don't have the fuel system to cater.
my hybrid did the same thing, found that the dump pipe was causing the restriction. When the wastegate opened the extra pressure build up caused the boost to drop off. It was a split dump type. I now have the wastegate pipe running to atmo. No more boost drop now. =)
N/A: Nice drift after you left by the way. 1st and 3rd cruise was awsome, never had so much fun with my clothes on. Couldn't do much about the 2nd cruise down to North Haven. My friend works for the port police and said she was in the police car that passed us all on Victoria Rd. They had planned to get ahead and pull the whole group over. She said they waited but we didn't come so they ended up just pulling over a busted up commo. By that time we started to leave and they were already busy. Apparently the commo owner and friends were mouthing off because they pulled him over and not all the fancy imports that drove past. haha.
ok class, could I have a show of hands who is interested in the pre-cruise cruise at 7pm. Miss*33 or I will pm out the details to those interested class mates.
Miss*33's will do a high 13 or low 14, see just bags it out all the time cause it doesn't have 500rwkw. It would have to be one of the tightest 33's I've driven. The series 1.5 are varstly improved over the series one. Power delivery is much smoother.
