  1. Oh great. Got a present for him; But in all seriousness, once he moves on or just accepts the fact that the world sometimes makes noise, it will be a massive relief to SRDTC and hopefully will take a lot of the pressure off them
  2. Maybe an uninterrupted incar angle lap video would be a better promotion tool than that map. I'll be there regardless, but it's easy to understand where Noel's coming from
  3. If you can do the form tonight it will be fine. Licence paperwork is 10 minutes, no big deal. Passengers are free but yes must wear the same clothing and helmets as drivers and must also sign the insurance paperwork before getting in the car (same form as drivers)
  4. Oh on the topic of noise and Texi's in Canberra, at the last one down there we had the EPA come due to noise complaints from an old man living up the valley. Annoying much?! They tested the background noise, I offered them a ride and some food from the BBQ, then they left happy as larry
  5. There's something I'm planning for next year down there, its worth the drive from Melbourne for it - so anyone living in Canberra is just lucky (for at least 1 weekend hahaha)
  6. CAMS are great on some things, terrible on others. This sort of event is in the "others" pile. No dramas! EC is the only other place in Sydney thats available, here's the problems; Cost is quite large to rent, last I checked you had to use a CAMS permit (expensive!!!) and AASA licences werent accepted. So if I was to take Texi to there, the entry fee would be around the $140 mark per member and you'd get far less driving time due to the small size of the pan. To put simply, Texi's would stop because at EC it would be a crappy event compared to what we are all used to now. IMO being in that situation is to be avoided at all costs I wasn't involved with the MDTC day - so I cant answer that one sorry!
  7. As long as its been managed by the people who manage it (a long time), it's been a rule in the hire agreement (it's not outlining screamer pipes, it outlines overall vehicle noise). I dont think many users read/obey the hire agreement, but I do things the right way instead of getting away with it for a while then coming unstuck down the track Insurance are the ones who require a fire extinguisher. Anyway thats just a smart/safe thing to have in the car I have asked in the past about noise levels and exactly how loud we can be, its a touchy subject, as I said before if we arent welcome at this venue there is NO others in Sydney that can do these days and the Texi's will simply stop. No one wants that of course! To make things worse, I think there's a residential development happening quite close by which seem to be closer than the current residents. If that gets built and people move in, the fact that the skidpan/runway was there before they moved in wont stop them complaining - look at the people complaining that live near the airport eventhough the airport has been there for a long time... State round is a CAMS run event yeah? We dont use CAMS for this, they're way too expensive and hard to deal with on key points
  8. "gotta put little cylindrical filters on the bov outlets so they don't suck crap in off boost (there's some K&N variety that's almost an exact fit), then block off the recirc pipe"
  9. Also there is a map link in the first post
  10. Entrance at corner of Eastern Rd and Quakers Hill Parkway, Quakers Hill
  11. Nah no spring, it was years ago and I cant remember exactly - ill sms him and see if he remembers
  12. This has been covered, please do a search
  13. F that - bring back V10's!!!
  14. Has been done, i think it cost about $50 to do and worked perfectly. The guy who did it was "sh@un"
  15. No, it wont fit by 2mm. Just use stock RB25 crank.
  16. Thats one way to look at it, the other way is this; There is only one other location we could use for this in the whole of Sydney, it's overpriced and small. Where we go, there is a great relationship between club and venue, screamer pipes and therefore noise complaints from residents wouldnt help that cause and given this venue is booked every day of the year they dont need SAU's business so we do everything we can to not be a problem to deal with for venue management. If it didnt have to be that way, i'd be all for it
  17. Weather for the weekend; sunny with a good chance of skids.
  18. Please tell me Aaron got them. I have an almost identical set-the front calipers alone are worth just over half the asking price. Whoever got them, well done!
  19. Why on earth would you replace the stock units? My advice: don't do it. Stockers have proved themselves over and over and over to take huge power with zero fuss. Best part, they're free.
  20. You can call them up and explain you've lost it, they can fax a letter over saying your licence number and expiry on a cams letterhead-then bring that letter with you
  21. You'd fit right in And we all want to see your 32 on a runway
  22. I think you'll find Rolls is just messing around, or forgetting this isn't an RB20/25 thread Hard pipes are not required for 300rwkw. Spend the money on improving a different area.
  23. So what about the end of pit lane launches during free practice?
