think its the VACC you report dodgy pricks too, my sis bought a bmw from a dealer that had license to do the rwc's himself. few things were not quite right on the car that should have most definetly been fixed for rwc. soon as i went in and said i would report him to vacc if it wasent fixed he booked car in, got car back and all was good! brett

i dont own an R but am in the same boat at the monent finantually. apprentice wages suck! the way i attack it is spent time on your car, sus out a hoist you can use to check everything thourerly underneath. If you have any mates that have access to a dyno get them to g up some cheap time on the rollers to check your ratios and do a compression test. the biggest money saver when you own an import i think is having mates in the trade that can look after you and your car and keep it well maintained with GOOD quality oil and filters. just my opioion! brett :sorcerer:

heard it is possable to get your car microchipped and tracked in the event of it not being where you left it! after reading about yet another gtr goin missin in melb it just got me thinkin weather anyone has had their car done? if so how much did it set ya back? would be a great feeling knowing exactly where the c#nt that stole your pride and joy lives! brett

haha yeah i have been in the same boat mate, broke few bones in my hand and was told i couldnt drive a manual for 6 weeks. didnt stop me holding steering wheel with cast while shifting though haha. thank god i was livin in country at the time! was talkin to nath wen you guys were at hospital, was a funny conversation. he says u were tryin to impress da chicks haha

hey guys been offered some olin or ohlin (not sure how ya spell it) adjustable damper shocks and 2 sets of different height hks springs for my 33. love doing track work and wouldnt mind getting into driftin a bit more. been told that these shocks are a pretty good bit of gear and will be better than a cheaper set of coil overs. getting em through a mate who imports cars cheap as buggery. just wanted to see what the guys that do a bit of track work think of the brand, quality etc! cheers bitches! brett

got a thread goin on anyone interested in a hill climb up buller one weekend soonish! anyone that is half keen have a look and see what ya think! buller is arthurs seat bout 5 times longer! absolute madness! so much fun! brett

sweet! well what i had in mind was heading up to mansfield on saturday morning, lunch in town then head up for a run up buller. that night dinner and drinks in town (motel i have in mind is bout 2 mins walk from pub) then do another run up buller on sunday morning. what weekend do people interested recommend that doesnt clash with any other sau events? good to see some interest! anyone that enjoyed arthurs seat will love buller, arthurs seat for 15 mins instead of 4! cheers! brett

interesting 1 for ya. i had my car on a mates dyno a while back. Got 179rwkw @11psi using one of these boost controllers. changed it over to a new turbosmart one just to see if any difference was made to output and got 186rwkw at 11psi..... interesting huh.... can anyone shed some light on why this might have been??
